Very cute little bakery inside. Nice places to sit, cute old timey knickknacks and baking relics -- my mom got a huge kick out of the old KitchenAid mixers. Even though it was later in the afternoon, they had a decent selection of desserts. A friendly employee greeted us immediately and was helpful with checkout and bagging. I chose a smaller orange roll based on the recommendation of lots of reviewers, as well as something a bit more unique to me: a sweet potato and pecan muffin. Somewhat unusual combination that sounded super good! I split my treats with husband later that evening. The orange roll was solid -- the soft and yeasty roll was the best part -- though for me the orange glaze was a little too sweet. That's how I usually feel about orange rolls though so if you really love them you'll probably like this one! The muffin remained remarkably moist and the pecans were so nice and toasty on top. It was very subtly sweet and had lots of nice spices. Would love to try more muffins from here! Thanks for the yummy treats! Definitely hope to return someday to try the pie bars, strata, and more.

Finding dairy-free options can be a challenge, but they made an amazing cake without jacking up the price for specialty ingredients. I sent over a Pinterest photo of the design we wanted, and they recreated it flawlessly. One note: build in some extra time for communication between booking and the event--it just makes everything smoother. Our son devoured the cake, and even I tried a bite and was surprised at how good it was compared to a traditional cake. They also offer gluten-free options if you need them. We love stopping by Mad Hatter--the vibe is always super welcoming, and the decor instantly puts you in a festive mood. Highly recommend.
