Icing that was suppose to be cream cheese was lacking cream cheese. It was dry and hard like it had sat out for 3 days. When I first cut into it, it cut like fondant, but the decorative pieces were the same, so I don't think it was fondant. Overall it was a disappointment for the amount of money we paid for the cake.

This was to be a very special dinner for me and my roommate and they completely messed up my order. That $25 was very hard to come by. This is what we ordered. Chicken strip get four piece Ranch dipping sauce I need rings instead of french fries Ranch dipping sauce A small Snickers blizzard instead of the drink For my roommate She ordered a single cheeseburger combo It was to have mustard, mayonnaise, pickles, tomato The french fries were to have two to three packets of ketchup A chocolate chip cookie dough blizzard that was small size instead of the drink What we got? One miniature blizzard that was melted Three piece chicken strip basket with one barbecue sauce and no ranch A very sloppy cheeseburger combo The driver Alejandro refused to bring the order to my nursing home room so I had to wheel up there in my wheelchair to get the food. Also, for customer's convenience Brave offers to-go teas that can be purchased in store and online. Their menu is very extensive. Brave has something for everyone and is extremely accommodating to any specific dietary needs. Recently, I ordered a drink from the menu that contained a higher sugar content compared to most other menu items which I wasn't aware of. As a Type 1 diabetic I tend to stick to sugar free options when it comes to fun drinks/treats! But the staff was very quick to alert me of the nutritional info on this particular item and insisted on remaking my order to better suit my needs! The storefront is cozy and resembles an upbeat cafe completed with tons of local vendors. Service is efficient and staff are always jovial. Any questions or concerns you have about the menu, the Brave team is there to help.

Why have I waited so long to come to this place?! Shuckers…read moreis off the beaten path for me and I always forget to come here and give it a try. I am extremely glad I did today and can't wait to come back again. I understand it is an oyster house, but it is in Carrollton which is not near a large body of water. That being said, I was extraordinarily surprised at how fresh and delicious the raw oysters were and I feel the price is quite fair. Today I enjoyed the Tulane Avenue Shrimp as my entrée from the appetizers menu. The shrimp were tender and I loved all of the flavor. The little crusty pieces of bread that came with it were perfect for soaking up the sauce. It was a very large appetizer. I also had a cup of the gumbo that came with some garlic bread. The gumbo for me was just OK. I enjoyed it and liked the flavor, but it felt more like a savory stew to me than a gumbo. The service was good and friendly. I completely understand the aesthetic inside; however, the wooden benches are not very comfortable. That's just a minor preference for me. Overall this place is a hidden gem.
