Everything here is great. But they need to make the peach scone a staple rather than a seasonal item. So so good. read more

Fantastic bakery! Yes, the hours are limited, and the lines are long- but believe me, these are worth for these delicious treats. Whatever your sweet tooth desires- cinnamon rolls, monkey bread, cookies, brownies, cruffins, muffins- you get the point, they have it. I got a wide selection for my first visit, and everything was a home run. Do yourself a favor, even if you don't live in Anniston, drive out to give Artisanal Baked Goods a visit- after one bite you'll have no regrets. read more

So we stopped into this place as we were passing through town. We tried a few different things. We enjoyed the things we got, & would recommend to try this place for sure. One this was fabulous!!! Some friends who live in the Anniston area had posted they had gone to Artisanal Baked Goods and after I seen the name it was in the top of my places to try. The name drew me in and I felt I'd be almost traveling into a place in time most food places have forgotten. A place of hand crafted and distinctive flavors :) Well... I'm happy to report I was right! The store is only open Friday and Saturdays. The other days they work on prep for the baking days :) It's in a small store on the main highway through town, small parking and very small showcase/ordering area. You pick up your prizes and take out only. Disclosure: everything is hand made, no prepackaged items found here! AnnaBelle waited on me and her passion and enthusiasm of their products made me even more excited! She provided a wide variety of samples to try and I must say all were quite the delicious treat! I think I was most surprised at how wonderful The macaroons were!! We tried the red velvet with cream cheese, vanilla with vanilla filling and lemon with the most flavorful lemon meringue filling! It was by far our favorite! I wanted to try the chocolate with ganache filling but because it was afternoon those yummy bites were gone. The outer macaroon is light, a little crispy but seriously melt in your mouth! This is a metaphor- the literally do melt! They are fully of flavor and not in the slightest bit disappoint. We tried the lime (almost a margarita flavor) cruffin. A cruffin is a baked flakey croissant sprinkled with a baked on cinnamon as sugar. They filled with light fluffy goodness- in our case was a delicious lime, hint of sea salt and drizzled with tequila sauce. They bake a variety of breads that can be sliced in house and taken home. We sampled the bacon cheddar which tasted like a meal in it self! I do love the texture of their breads. Slightly dense, soft inside and a light crust outer. They bakery shelf's hosts several varieties of cookies- AnnaBelles favorite was the browned butter chocolate chip. Can I tell you it's one of the beat chocolate chip cookies I've had! They are soft but has that delicious crisp on the edge. When you break it apart you see huge chocolate chunks almost dripping from the cookie The cinnamon monkey bread is on of the most yummy ever! The are soft, gooey, sweet bites of pure delight that you'll enjoy anytime of the day! Small sizes and keep fresh great! For a more savory side the Gouda croissants are wonderful! Their croissants are flakey, buttery and huge! The Gouda is inside so when they are baked it makes a nice "pocket" to fill with your favorite filling. We did Canadian bacon :) Like cheese cake? They have several flavors which makes it hard to choose just one. But we managed to opt for a cheesecake with chocolate swirls and the crust?? Well it's those delightful brown butter cookies crumbled to make the cheesecake crust! Wow! There are so many options we couldn't try everything but next time around you can believe the fruit pies, German pretzels and more macaroons are on my short list! If ever in the Anniston, al area it would be worth the time to stop in. read more

Perfect place, great food, helpful staff! All the delicious food is fresh, every time !! No worries on anything, just get there early for best picks, because the place is good, so it's in high demand! I think I'll be ordering cruffins for my birthday! Oh, did I mention, they do take special orders in advance? Amazing that they give rewards!! You may hear that it's a bit "pricey" but while you're hearing these complaints, why don't you check into the price of running a business and maintenance of kitchens, license, rent, etc! Yes it's good so I'm willing to pay Don't worry about how much it is, it's not like you can go here every day Thank you I APPRECIATE your customer service and scrumptious food! The bread is great as French toast ! read more

This bakery is amazing! A good friend of mine brought me a few samples of the items and every single sample was fresh and tasted so good. Then she bought me the 3 layer red velvet cake for my birthday and it was fresh, moist, and soooo good. It was covered with pecans all over and smelled amazing. I will definitely be purchasing from this bakery in the future. read more

Best oatmeal cookies ever. Can't understand why they're only open Friday and Saturday

An excellent old-fashioned place with remarkably friendly service--the owner gave me some free Danishes when I mentioned I had just started teaching at a local school. Only open two days a week, but worth the wait. I tried their red velvet cake, vanilla cake, and chocolate chip cookies on my most recent visit. Red velvet was pretty good. The frosting wasn't sweet enough for me, but I'm a sugar addict--and the cake itself was great. The vanilla cake was REALLY great, even with the only mildly sweet frosting; it's very moist and has a buttery, almondy flavor. But the cookies are PRIMO, man. Best chocolate chip I've tasted in a long time. read more

Finally made it into this place! Service was excellent and the treats were delicious. Staff made some great recommendations for me. I wish the counter area was larger because it was quite crowded and there wasnt a ton of room to be able to display all their goodies. I will def be back! read more

Sooo Gooood! I was eating lunch, on a friday, and saw a steady stream of customers going into this bakery, so my curiosity got to me. Once I was through the door if the bakery, I understood why! Beautiful and delicious pastries and breads beckoned me! I bought an array of different pastries to try at home: a mini lemon bundt cake, a mini chocolate bundt cake with baileys creme filling, mini monkey bread, blueberry scone, oatmeal raisin cookie and cruffin filled with creamcheese filling. ( the cinnamon rolls we picked up are for breakfast tomorrow). ALL WERE DELICIOUS!! This is a hidden gem and treasure of a bakery for the locals and next time i am in town visiting family, i will make my way there again!! read more

This is the most AMAZING bakery. The owners and staff are the nicest people who love to help and have very quick responses to any questions or messages that you ask or send. The baked goods are absolutely delicious! A few weeks ago I sent a message asking if they could make my husband (who loves lemon flavored sweets) some lemon scones. I received a reply back that same day and within a week or two they called to tell me they had made him a sample batch and let me tell you, they were WONDERFUL! Not only had they quickly and efficiently contacted me to begin with, they also made the scones in a much shorter time period than I had expected. When my children and u got there to pick them up and give them a try they gave us the scones for free! I think we go to Artisanal Baked Goods pretty much every week. I will forever be a loyal customer. Thank you Artisanal Baked Goods for your wonderful attitudes, service, and extremely yummy goods! read more
