Took a trip to visit our daughter in Jacksonville, Alabama and drove by this cute donut shop. We got there late morning so I thought they would be low on choices but I was wrong. We ordered a dozen as they all looked so good. The owner was super nice and when we told her we were visiting, she gave us a bag of donut holes! I tried a glazed doughnut at an event and even after they had been sitting out for several hours, I thought, "This might be better than Krispy Kreme." I told my husband, who said, "that's a strong statement, not sure I believe it." So one Saturday morning after breakfast, my husband and I stopped by Lickin Good Donut. The employee was friendly and fast. We decided to get a box of 6 and try different flavors: 2 Maple Glazed with Bacon, 1 Chocolate Glazed/Peanut Butter Filled, 1 Strawberry Creme Filled, 1 Peach Filled, and 1 Eclair. (I can't remember the exact names, but these are close). My husband tried the Strawberry one and said it was not as good as the Peach one. Quality was fine, that was just his personal taste, he said. I thought the Eclair was good. I was originally excited about the Peanut Butter one, because it had chocolate glaze and nuts on top, but was disappointed because the filling was not very peanut buttery - it was like the normal white creme in a creme-filled doughnut, but attempted to be flavored like peanut butter. I guess I was suspecting something with peanut butter texture. It was a really good doughnut, just not as peanut buttery as I expected. The star of the box, by far, was the Maple Glazed with Bacon. Lickin good doughnuts needs to answer the phone!!!!!!!..... Went to get a dozen filled doughnuts. I have bought their b4, so I knew they were good. Wound up getting 8 filled, 2 glazed and a apple fritter.. the total was $14.86... Upon arriving home, I bit into 1 and my husband bit Into 1. Both were filled doughnuts. And both were "RAW"!!! Yes that is correct, RAW!!...I immediately looked at the others and they were RAW also!!! All 8 filled doughnuts are "RAW".. I have called lickin good doughnuts to make them aware they are selling RAW food to their customers and NO one answers the phone... I paid $14.86 for RAW Doughnuts that can't be eaten!!.. Oh my word yum!! I got a twisty donut and sour cream glazed. Melt in your mouth. The glazed twisted donut was so delicate and blasting with fresh flavors.
