The rolls for the sandwiches are just perfect. Light, fluffy and a nice chew to them. We ordered two TECs and a TEEC (IYKYK- Taylor Ham, Egg and cheese and a Taylor Ham double egg and cheese) and on a whim we grabbed a small container of macaroni salad. While prices have gone up since TeamTaylorNJ did his review in Instagram, the prices are still pretty good - $6.50 for the TEC, $7.25 for the TEEC. This place is a little out of the way for me, HOWEVER, the sandwich was better than my go-to place. They cooked the meat until there was a little char and it seemed like two slices of cheese vs one at my normal place. If this place wasn't in the opposite direction of work for me I'd be here once a week. Don't expect flashy here, this is an old school NJ deli...(seriously, WHY is this my first time here?!?). No bagel sandwiches here, only Kaiser rolls. They only take cash, but they have an ATM. The folks behind the counter get were super friendly and helpful. I will 100% be back here soon.

Enter Boonton Bagels. Just like Time for a Bagel in Morris Plains, you walk into a long, narrow building where it's awkward to find a place to stand and wait. I ordered a double egg, and cheese on a poppy - with egg prices as of 2025, I'll take them where I can get them. Food came out fairly quick, and I had a chance to look at all the spreads - again, typical bagel joint. The verdict? Not quite ready to commit yet. I enjoy the poppy saturation of the bagel, done well so most of them actually stayed on as I ate. I requested no toast, my bagel was untoasted. But the bagel was a bit thin and underflavored to earn a 5th star. The egg was fresh cooked, cheese was a bit sparse, again maybe a little lacking in flavor. Overall? A pleasant breakfast nook in Boonton. If the other places nearby don't top it, I can see myself coming back here, trying different bagels (like the French Toast!) and schmears, maybe working this into my regular food rotation. Four for now.

The service was wonderful and welcoming. First the Polish lady behind the counter explained all the hot Polish food prepared in the hot counter, took our order, and cleaned a table for us to sit and eat. The young man that charged our order was the sweetest and served everyone with a smile. I wanted to taste Pierogis as I always heard about them so I ordered a variety of them with sour cream. They reminded me of steamed Chinese Dumplings but with different fillings...beef, cheese, mushroom & sauerkraut, cheese & potato. My favorite was the potato & cheese. Hubby had an amazing fresh & huge Chicken Cutlet sandwich...yummy! Last the prices are truly reasonable.

Lunch panic averted -- and what a find!…read more I didn't bring lunch to work and was deep in the "what am I going to eat?" struggle when The Great Wazu popped up in my search. I'll admit, seeing that it was primarily a sandwich shop made me hesitate since I need gluten-free options. But I was thrilled to see they offer gluten-free bread -- and even more relieved when I spoke to the incredibly kind server who walked me through their celiac protocol. As someone who worries about cross-contamination, that conversation alone put me at ease. I originally planned to grab something quick and rush back to work, but I was pleasantly surprised by how spacious the place is. For a strip mall location in Parsippany, there's actually plenty of seating, and the atmosphere feels welcoming and comfortable. Bonus: tons of parking, which is always appreciated. The menu has so many tempting options -- sandwiches, wraps, salads, chips, sweet treats, and beverages. Once I saw they had gluten-free bread, I may have gotten a little carried away and ordered two sandwiches: the Walnut Cranberry Chicken Salad and the Italiano. No regrets! Both were generously portioned and packed with flavor. I was especially impressed that they use four slices of gluten-free bread per sandwich -- which is thoughtful since GF slices tend to be smaller. For the price, that extra effort really stood out. I also grabbed a side of coleslaw and their homemade potato salad -- both fresh, flavorful, and the perfect complement to the sandwiches. Friendly service, great gluten-free awareness, generous portions, and lots of variety -- I'm so glad I found this spot. I'll absolutely be back to work my way through more of the menu.

Then a young kid asked if i was being helped, even though he already knew I wasnt because he was just standing there off to the side. So i wanted an egg salad sandwich on a round roll and I asked for a soft roll because I just had dental work done. So it took 12 minutes to get a simple egg salad sandwich made and the roll was hard and old and tough to chew and there was literally only 2 small tablespoons of eggsalad on this sandwich i couldn't even bite into and I was charged 10.00 for it and there wasnt even lettuce and onion on it. The sandwich was terrible and they were acting like it was funny when he gave it to me. I will never go in this store again after this. The cashiers are nice in the front though. And another time i bought sushi and i went on self checkout and realized i forgot chopsticks and i told the lady that watches self checkout that i had to run back to sushi bar and get chopsticks and she had the audacity to say, "dont fill up your bag on the way over there." Are you kidding me??? They are lucky they have any customers with these poor attitudes. I was insulted. I don't look like a degenerate and I dont steal but i get treated poorly by the staff in here and i hear the staff making fun of other customers in the seafood dept. too. Terrible!!!
