Jabbar in the Battery section was professional, courteous, and patient. He could have easily sold me a battery, but he took the time to check the actual condition of the battery. He has assisted me many times and I just want to alert the staff that he is an outstanding employee. He represents this company in a very positive light. This is the Sam's club closest to my home. I make a weekly/biweekly trip here for veggies, gas and snacks. Overall I always find a deal or something I can't leave without. We came here with my parents to get some parmesan crusted tilapia that we had at their house and liked. It turns out this isn't sold at the Charlotte stores. We browsed around and ended up with a couple of things. They sent me a deal for a $45 gift card if I bought a $45 membership. We ended up getting it because my husband loves the everything bagel cashews so much (and it was basically free). As a wholesale club, Sam's is just ok to me. I'm a Costco loyalist and I don't think the product selection/quality is nearly as good here. We'll probably get our cashews for a year and then cancel our membership. read more

Gas isn't cheap and especially not premium so I am always looking for the best deal through gas busy. For years Sams in Pineville has always proven to have the best priced gas in Charlotte area. Yes cheaper than Carowinds and even cheaper than the Sams in Rock Hill. The only thing is a lot of people know this so unless you pull up early in the morning you probably will have to wait to pump. Also the pump can be kind of slow. Other than that it's great! Sams Club Member Store: if you don't have a Sams card go get one! Yea there is Costco & Bjs but their locations are limited! Also shopping here is always easy for me, in and out. The self checkouts are quick and efficient and always have an attentive team member ready to help. The bakery is delicious and placing orders are easy. I've never used the tire services or pharmacy. They do have earlier hours for business club owners and senior early shop hours. Very nice & clean Sam's location! The employees were super friendly and nice. A little strict with the entrance membership check and the amount of people you can bring in. But can be understandable. What really surprised me was the self checkout for the food. It's a few kiosks that you order your foods from and then proceed to the pick up area for your foods. We only had a churro, and there was one warming up for us. I really enjoyed this bc I didn't have to deal with actual rude and lazy people at the food area back in Florida where I usually go. Someone did help us with handling the food. She was nice and actually waiting for me. And the kiosk also lets you know what items are sold out. Location of the kiosk could make the way to the exit a little crowded but the idea is there and I love it. Great location! read more

This is the better location in Charlotte. The have a pull up drive through area where you ca check into your app while at the Carolina place light. Once you check in from the app the team brings the items to your car. This location also has a gas station. Sams reminds me of Walmart and there are always areas of improvement. The staff are no all kind and welcoming and this makes them loose business. Even if you don't know where to find an item find someone who does. It is hard to locate someone and get help at times. NEVER TAKE TOUR CAR HERE. I took my car to get a new battery yesterday, as I have always done with previous cars by taking them to Sam's. My car drove there perfectly well and had no issues besides the battery had died and I had it jumped once by roadside and drove it straight to Sam's to have it replaced. The guy working there from the beginning was very rude and made ME call Toyota to try to find out what type of battery to put in the car. I called Toyota 4 times with no answer. He called a different toyota and they told him to put in a H6 battery, so he did. (They have books for all of this by the way) He told me to go inside and wait and about 20 min later he walked in and said "wrong battery" and brought me outside to see it. He had the battery in BACKWARDS. Long story short, he completely fried my car. The main fuse blew and all the electrical is completely shot. I had to wait there until after 10pm for a tow truck. All the while he kept yelling at my husband and I saying we should have just taken it to Toyota. The entire time he was extremely condescending and rude trying to place blame on us instead of what he had just done. I've been trying to get in touch with the store manager and no one at the store answers the phone and the phone number the on-duty manager gave me yesterday (he said it was the store managers) is actually just the store phone number. I called Corporate to see if they could help me get in touch with the store manager and I held the line while they tried to reach the store. After 10 min the nice man came back on the phone and said he called 10 times, and they only answered the phone twice, and both times he asked to contact the storage manager and they hung up on him. He then transferred me to a supervisor and the same thing happened to her several times. The repairs in my car are now costing literally thousands of dollars because of what they did. It should have been a simple battery replacement for $200, and now it's over $2000 and who knows what else. The people at the Toyota dealership showed me photos of the damage and said there's no way it would have happened without a major event happening with the battery and when I explained how the mechanic put it in backwards and jumped it, he stated that's the number one way to blow a fuse. I still have yet to hear from the store manager or anyone at Sam's. Do yourself a favor and take your car to a real specialist!!! Never taking my car here again and trust me I will be going to corporate and even a lawyer if I need to about this. read more

With all the hoopla on the coronavirus we went today to stock up on food as thankfully my husband had just stocked up on cleaning supplies and paper products last week. Because upon arrival ALL the paper products were GONE! We headed to the frozen section and picked up chicken nuggets, fries, salmon, fruit and vegetables. We then got snack food. They had everything we needed but almond milk, so we plan on getting that at our local grocery. There are some people that just will do everything they can to get a problem resolved....this is the case with Dana from Sam's Club. She helped me with a renewal where there were a few kinks with the code that was provided by my job. It showed to be not a problem because she worked on getting it right despite the line behind me. She takes customer service to a whole new level. i was pleased that she continued to find a solution....Go Dana!!!! But wait.....the management team came to assist and they were equally as helpful. Neither of them seemed to be rushed, they each wore a smile and I am appreciative at the positive attitudes they each had. I was shopping here on a Wednesday afternoon. No fewer than 5 times between 1:40pm and 1:55p, a piercingly loud alarm sounded and lights flashed as they tested the store's emergency alert system. Each time, it was a scramble to cover children's ears. It was incredibly inconsiderate and clueless to run this during store hours while members were shopping instead of after closing. In closing, Sam's Club is like a Costco that doesn't care about its members. Convenient food court location though... so that's good. read more

I wish I could give a Zero for customer service. I went there to pick up my membership card (dressed down) and the lady at the customer service desk did not acknowledge me at all because she was too busy texting on her phone. I patiently waited until she was finished and explained why I was there. In the middle of explaining she stopped listening and went back to replying to whomever she was texting and when I said I would like to finish this up to get out of there, she acted as if I was annoying. When I told her she was rude to me she stated she was texting her manager. I asked her can she get the manager for me she left came back and told me her manager was busy with a customer. I waited for a couple of minutes and asked another employee for the manager and he pointed to a lady by the name of Monique in the middle of the floor having a personal conversation with another employee. When I approached her with my concerns she showed me her phone and immediately defended the lady by saying it was her that was calling the employee and the employee was telling the truth. Now get this.... Now both of them lied to me in my face because the young lady was texting not calling! When I brought that up she said ok well no it wasn't her she was texting (clearly she was up for her friend) I always go to the Sam's club in Concord. A better staff, great customer service, cleaner store just a better experience over all. I really believe the management and the staff is running this Sam's Club great reputation in the ground. Sad thing is, it's allowed by management. I will have to take the drive back to Concord even though I live in Pineville because I paid for my membership and I need to get my monies worth. read more

Honestly I do not even want to honor this business with writing a review however this needs to said . Everything about this establishment is terrible. Every time I go into the store the employees are extremely unhelpful and the ones that do try to help are trying to get my phone number. When you are finally finished shopping expect there to be only two cashiers on a good day that are working and a couple of the self checkout machines to be broken. The man at the front always checks everything on my receipt while I watch him let other people ahead of me pass on by . I do not like making anything racial but I have had it this time. I went into the store and bought two items , pineapples in Coconut water and those delicious tortilla chips from On the border that everyone loves . I watched this man clearly not check the person in front me but check all of my two items carefully and scanned each one , this happens no matter if I have $5 of product or $500 and I'm sick of it. Please do better . Also there are always and I mean always carts on the parking lot. I was kind of enough to try and return some and was treated as if my help was an issue. Also I lost my wallet with an excessive amount of cash ( that was ignorant on my part ) at the front desk. When I called to ask about the wallet every one acted as if they could not help me . I even told the employees if the cash was stolen I did not care I just wanted the social security card out of it . I was told they had it in safe and the manager would get it ... James is one of the shift managers there. This is the second time when dealing with him that his service was horrible. As a manager his people skills are terrible. He is definitely an example of the poor level of service demonstrated by this location. I can say this because this is not my first time experiencing well below unsatisfactory customer service. One of the cashiers was just as bad. She tried to give us incorrect medical advice in efforts to not sale a product that she was having a hard time scanning. This store showed nothing but lack of customer service skills from manager down. Purchased large item that required a forklift was instructed to go to rear of building. Ok no problem. Problem is the sales clerk did not let anyone know, so 30 minutes later after banging on door and calling a clueless clerk that could not transfer a call , we are still waiting. You can find a large variety of items here from gallons of ketchup and mustard, many bakery items, fruits and vegetables, essentials likes toilet paper and paper towel ( their brand actually compared quite well to Charmin), as well as furniture, mattresses, and home improvement items like will flooring. The store is fairly clean most of the time. On Saturdays and Sundays they will typically have several cars with free samples available. My husband says that their sushi is actually quite good. The cafe offers pizza, hot dogs, pretzels, etc available for purchase and there is a small seating area to enjoy your purchases. Ordering is now automated on computers ( don't love it, as many people seem to have difficulty with the system). read more

I've been a member of Sam's Club for about 15yrs. I guess the Golden Age of Sam's Club has passed. I remember when Sam's was brite and bustling with energy. Now, they've redesigned to store. Not exactly sure why. The new design seems to hold less product... like I'm in a regular grocery store instead of a superstore. I hold memberships at both Sam's and Costco, and have to say I enjoy Costco much better. Costco has the bustling and energy Sam's USED to have with better selection IMO. I went at 8:00pm on a Monday night. They just started checking IDs again to enter, which is fine. I don't know why they ever stopped... if anyone shoplifted they were likely a member and they could track that person down ideally... letting everyone in, well... I got several items. A pork tenderloin roll, organic mixed green lettuce, 2% milk (dated to expire Oct.3 which is only 9 days from now, shouldn't it be more ?), charcuterie meat. and Merlot cheese. I would have bought the cheese in the bag of individually wrapped packages (gouda, provolone) if I could have found them. But since they've rearranged things, they've either put them somewhere NOT next to the other cheese or they don't carry it anymore. I found cheese in like 3 places... why is this not all together ? Checkout was relatively swift at this time of night, thank goodness. However, as I was standing there I was noticing the 4 empty kiosks at the concession stand. Is it me ? Or does anyone else notice that no one ever seems to order anything anymore since they put these in ? I miss going up and simply placing your order with the cashier. I have tried the kiosk once and won't do it again. You put your order in then wait. Then you are wondering... are the people behind the counter working on my order or are they just restocking ? I didn't realize it was such a privilege to walk up, place an order, then know that your order was being worked on immediately. I do not like impersonal kiosks and don't use them. I also don't EVER use self-checkout. I have a job, I don't need to be doing someone else's job for them. Then to go get gas. The one nice thing is the gas area closes 30min. after the store closes, so you can still get gas after shopping. They have a little sign by the store entrance that advertises the gas price. The sign says "2.23". I think to myself, "That's not bad... gas is around $2.40 right now." So I go get gas and the pump says it's "2.28". Really, you can't advertise the correct price ??? So I tell the long-haired blonde, older dude that the price is different at the pump than what is advertised at the entrance. He says "The price is on the pump." Um, yeah I know that... but should you make an effort to correct this I think to myself ? You could tell, he simply didn't care AT ALL. Oh well, guess I'll just have to ignore the price at the door from now on. read more

When I got to the self check out line I was going to do everything myself but the lady told me no you need to go to the line with the cashiers and I told her I said I could do it all myself and then she proceeded to tell me, well you got too much stuff if you have a problem with that you need to talk to my manager. So I went to long and I went to the cashiers. And then after I was done I went to grab something to eat from their cafeteria. I order my food at 12:01 my food did not come out until 12:28. The customer service was horrible I would never come back to this Sam's Club again. I thought that by Diz Sams club in Pineview they should have more respectful and nicer people that work there. Worst customer service ever! I lost my $600 wallet at the gas station at Sam's. I called them to check to security footage. They said they can't do that and I have to file a police report. I called two days later and I was told that their cameras erase footage every 25 hours! Not only that, I was hung up on by the manager when I was trying to ask how would police look at the footage now as it's been over 24 hours. I have been a customer since 1996. Here we have the typical Sam's Club warehouse store that offers bulk items are fairly low prices compared to shopping at the grocery store. This particular Sam's is average at best due to lack of customer service and long, long check out lines. Sam's Club also loves to move items around a lot, so you may come in one day to purchase some snacks and they've moved them clear across the store and when you ask an associate-they have no clue, turn around and continue on their way. Speaking of associates here, when you at customer service, you feel like you're at the DMV because their facial expressions and body language are stale. They don't smile and they project a feeling of apathy. And, it's not just customer service but nearly all associates I come into contact with. I only come here when i have to when I need to buy in bulk and I get the hell out. No sense in being around dreary people when I'm in a good mood. My advice is you can skip this warehouse if you live in the area and go to one of their competitors or just pay a little extra and get great customer service at your local Publix. read more

Signed in outside at the "kiosk" walked right in to the curb pickup station and I was in and out in less than 5 mins! I will do this again! This saves so much time.
