This pertains to the Pharmacy. Since 2019, I've been getting my prescriptions here. I'll say at the outset, the staff are wonderful! My issue now is the new pharmacy system and procedures they are implementing, ostensibly from Corporate. I have peripheral neuropathy and a history of syncope, so I would do curbside pickup. I would get the text that my prescription was ready, I'd park in a pickup spot, call them, and they'd run it out to me. Well, not anymore. You have to use an app to schedule a pickup now. The app is clumsy and difficult, and requires a credit card number. I can't walk through the parking lot, let alone through the store, and I don't have a degree in computer science. I'm also wary about the CC info floating around. I'm looking for a new pharmacy, unfortunately. Again, the people are great, no reflection on them. read more

Yogurt machines have not been working for 2 months. Are they shut down for the winter or just broken. Sam's should get them going or remove them from the ads and menus. Ok this has happened twice already. When using a SNAP card they still try to charge tax on food items. The first time it was 1 cent. The second time it was 2 cents. That at self checkout requires you to swipe your bank card for a couple cents. This is literally the only place that I have this problem. The fact that you have to pay for a membership just to have the luxury of shopping there is one thing. But then to tax on SNAP benefits is ridiculous. Then to be told it's because the item was on sale so that's why you are getting taxed. It makes no sense. It's not about having to spend 2 cents. It's about the principle. This is the kind of thing that makes me want to stop shopping there. So be aware if you are using SNAP benefits at this location you may be taxed regardless. So be prepared to have some actual cash on you or you may go through this ridiculousness as well. read more

This Sam's Club always a busy location. Everything went smooth. Although, sometimes it's just a bit of a challenge to get out the door.

I come into this location regularly for necessities and I also utilize the curbside pick up option. Although we initially had some trouble when we first set up our membership and credit card through sames, staff was friendly and helpful in resolving any issues. The facility appears to be well kept and clean. They have a great selection of meats. read more

Aisles overflowing with merchandise and nothing put away. A pallet with a large box taking up more than half the main aisle to the back. Everyone was having to walk around and wait to get by. It's an alright Sam's Club location. It is located right in the middle of Colonial Heights and has multiple entry/exit points to utilize. It gets extremely, extremely crowded and which makes navigating the parking lot quite hectic. It has a gas station and a food court inside that seems generally well-stocked with a good sitting area. It has free wifi. The logo branding on the storefront seems to have fallen off or something - it doesn't have a new feel to it but it also isn't dirty either, being generally quite clean inside. Lots of registers and everything seems well-stocked. In short, it has some positives and negatives and doesn't stand out as an amazing location nor a bad location. read more

The Sam's Club located in Colonial Heights; Virginia makes it very difficult in servicing their lifetime tire warranty when a tire rotation is required. I cannot believe that Walmart is rated in the top 14 corporations worldwide for supply chain management. It is impossible to obtain a schedule to utilize the "lifetime warranty" because the service center does not answer the phone, an appointment can only be made by coming into the service center in person, and then the appointment is scheduled days out. The answer to correct this issue would be to allow the customer to establish these required rotations "ONLINE". I've been purchasing my tires at this Sam's Club for years, but will never purchase or recommend their product again until they corporately address the needs of the customer. In the age of AI, and Cyber Security breakthroughs, it is difficult to believe that this Rated Fortune Global #1 corporation in retail cannot develop a drop-down on its website to allow customers to make an appointment for this service. read more

This review is of the gas part of this sams club. Out of 12 pumps, only about half of them work. This has been the case for over a year and the lines are incredibly long. The service attendants are also very rude. Now the main sign on the store is missing and it looks like Kmart when Kmart was going out of business. read more

It is not well managed, specially the tire and battery department. If you have to go here, be prepared to spend several hours, unless you have some leverage like friendship or they like you. Your best bet if you need something is during the weekdays, when there is a different person in charge. The freezer area is not clean enough, milk is always una disarray. Products disappear from shelves for weeks and sometimes never come back. The Club in broad street in Richmond has a wider variety of products. Service is about the same. It is hard to generalize because there are some very nice and helpful associates and others that are not. read more

Went to Sam's Club to purchase a silver ring for a reasonable price for my 25th anniversary. Walked in and straight to the jewelry counter.... looked and looked and then LOOKED for a salesperson. The cashiers were all standing around talking, looking like they didn't want to be noticed. We stood there for about 10 minutes..... I got pissed and decided to stroll through the store for a few items. Returned to the jewelry counter after 10 minutes, a person who was not even a store employee, asked if we had been waited on, we said no, he said he was going to get us help. We WAITED..... WAITED..... the same guy came back and asked for if anyone had come, we answered No. He left again, we saw him speak to a woman, who walked right past us, we thought, to get someone. She came back 10 minutes later and said "We are trying to locate the employee that has the key." Another 10 minutes later, a girl showed up, I pointed out the ring I wanted to see, she then said " I have to call the person that dies the sizing." I said "If she is not in close proximity, I am leaving, because we've been here over an hour! (Now they think they have a sale!). The other woman comes right over, sizes my finger, writes it up and I said "Nevermind, I need to call the woman who has the right side finger." I walked out. read more

How does a place just get worse? I honestly think a tornado would be a blessing for corporate so they could just let this location close with some dignity. The only reason anyone goes there is that Costco has not put a location in Chester nor has BJs wholesale. Hell a flea market would be better run. The past few visits I have seen the soda machines broken, snack bar pretty much out of everything and used items all over. But the greatest moment was coming in to get the install fixed on the tires they sold. Seems a paint shaker is smoother. Nope at 4pm they had a sign up saying 'Tire Department is CLOSED'. Basically it said 'screw any customers that need help with anything we could not hire any staff with time management skills or who could help customers'. I spoke with a person who acted like they were the manager and well... It is Sam's club so I got the service I deserved. I have to take the car someplace else to get it fixed. Honestly I deserve it as I just saw my review where they burned my wife and I wasn't coming back. The price pulled me in but the service is wildly not worth it. Never ever use sams club for anything. My husband and I made a night run for bacon the other night . It was 8:05 when we made it there and they close at 8:30 . The greeter didn't look at us and roll his eyes . He smiled and welcomed us in . The helper at checkout was amazingly polite and the cafe people had bacon pizza!! Marvelous experience . Ordered some tires and was happy to receive a message stating they had come in earlier than anticipated. It took 40+ minutes of on hold time, multiple back-to-back calls when phone system disconnected me, to reach the tire department personnel. I took my tire there (no truck since tire was slashed) as scheduled and they installed in a timely manner. Had to schedule a return trip to have my other three tires replaced. Was told they were booked out a week, so I scheduled for their first available appointment. I called a day prior to the appointment to confirm the time and had to wait again over 30 minutes of on hold time before I finally gave up and called back to prompt the front desk. They had to walk over to the tire center to talk to the operators. I was told they were understaffed and why they were not answering the phone. I was also informed my appointment was not in the system. So now I wait for a manager as I type this review...that hold is currently at 18 minutes. So I currently have over an hour of phone hold time with no resolution. I usually don't waste my time reviewing things but I got bored on hold. read more

The store is great, lots of "stock", clean, and friendly associates. The "food court" is in need of a MAJOR overhaul! I waited at least a minute before the cashier could finish her PHONE CHECK to take my order. She rang me up, gave me the drink cups and walked away no eye contact or smile. This review regards attempting to buy tires there. Ordered set of four 255/65R16 tires on July 11 with understanding they would be at store for installation in a week. A week later, they said seven working days. On July 22, they say tires weren't available. They checked and found some that were approximately $50 per tire cheaper and directed me to go to Customer Service and get the original order refunded. After getting the refund, I returned to the tire department. Then they decide they can only get more expensive than first tires ordered. It's irritating they are taking folks $$ for tires that don't exist. From my experience, they did not know what tires they can get or even what tires they have. I have been a Sams member for over 10 years and have always purchased meat. I always divide it into portions and freeze. Over the past several months I was noticing the hamburger never came out to the weight listed on the package. ( I always weigh 1 # portions for spaghetti, meat loaf, etc.) So, I began weighing before removal of tray and the selling weight matched, then removial of tray and the weight of the meat was short and weight of the tray alone matched the amount of meat weight shortage. I have been paying for at least 4 oz of meat that I am not getting. Thats a lot of money especially on the higher priced meats. After filing 2 complaints and a confrontation with the meat manager and several emails I have been assured that the "tare" weight has been adjusted for on the scales. We shall see. I was offered a $25 gift card because the meat manager was "sorry I felt that way". First of all $25 in no way compensates me for overcharges and as for her comment.....how am I supposed to feel when I have been ripped off. BTW I don't have the gift card or any other compensation. But I am not the only one who deserves compensation. Check for your self no matter which Sams you shop and if a discrepancy is found "COMPLAIN" and dont let them make you feel that you are the one who is wrong....you are the one who is being "Wronged"!!! read more
