No one at Sam's Club, either the corporate office or the local store, will take the time to resolve customer service issues.
This was posted to the Sam's Club facebook page for both corporate and Anderson SC on Dec 7, 2018.

Ok, Sam's Club. Last year, someone in Texas stole my Cash Rewards. $130 some dollars if I remember correctly. It took WEEKS to get it resolved. Three days ago I found out that someone at store 6434 in Anderson SC stole my Cash Rewards again this year. $150. I called in to your customer service team and was told I would hear back within a day or two. It's been three days now. I called again and they said "it's been referred" and they can't help me any more. Nor can they tell me who it was referred to. I was told if I didn't get a call back in the next few days to call again.
I am horribly frustrated. First, your team doesn't have any idea how to correctly set a customer's expectations. There is no reason that it should take a week to call someone back and resolve a stolen Cash Rewards issue, ESPECIALLY when this is the second time it's happened. Second, what exactly are you doing to fix this problem? I was told in my local Sam's Club that a picture ID is required to redeem Cash Rewards. Perhaps you can tell me how it happened that some random person in South Carolina has my ID? It seems that on both occasions, as soon as the rewards became available (even before I knew they were available), they were stolen. This seems like an internal thing if you ask me.
I need someone to call me and resolve this. NOW.

Someone reached out to me immediately on facebook. Here's an update on what happened after that --

SAM'S CLUB: Tamara, we apologize about this matter. Can you please provide me your membership number, email associated with your account, also a reference number if you were provided one.
TAMARA: Membership ******REDACTED***** email: ***REDACTED***** Reference: *****REDACTED******* Thank you for the quick reply
SAM'S CLUB: Thank you for the provided information, Please bear with me while I look into this matter.
SAM'S CLUB (A LITTLE WHILE LATER) Tamara, your ticket has been submitted to the cash rewards team and is being worked. They will be reaching out to you once they have a resolution via phone call. We do apologize about the delay.
TAMARA: Hmmm. Well, that's exactly the same non-information that your customer service gave me. "Yes, it's being worked on, No, I can't tell you who is working on it or how to contact them, No, I can't give you any idea of how long it will take to resolve this". How did this dialogue serve to resolve anything?

Yes, Sam's Club, I keep really good records. I've worked in customer service for 30 years and know how it's supposed to be done. I won't go away quietly, trust me.
I'll post again when and if this gets resolved. read more
