No accidents, in great shape, unique enough, and best of all, paid off. I've been taking it to Audi Tyson's Corner religiously since 2021 (a phenomenal shop in its own right), but after deciding to sell my beloved S4 on carsandbids.com, I wasn't ready to pony up $6K for the recommended service (carbon cleaning). I shopped around here on Yelp for a better deal and Edwin & his team replied within a day. I was a little sus given I tend to ignore Yelp replies from businesses with no reviews, but Edwin talked the talk so I checked them out on Google. They were on point and looked legit, so I started a convo about what was going on & what ATC recommended, and Edwin came back with a solid quote. From our brief discussions in their small office (hard to find btw but worth tracking them down), it's clear Edwin knows German engines, and even sent me some footage of before/after pix of the cylinders when it was done. When I picked it up, he popped the hood and explained what they did, one of them being a repair that it looks like ATC missed. The car was noticeably more responsive on the drive back to VA, like the first time I drove it. No lag, drag, limp or sputter. I'm headed back in given the check engine light is on (it was the main indicator to this latest problem) but I'm guessing it's an easy enough fix. Edwin said bring it in anytime. I reconsidered selling it for like 3 minutes after returning home, but then realized the roads, drivers, and people of the DMV are some of the worst I've ever seen, so I'm sticking with unloading it. Given the Capitol region has completely destroyed any and all joy I take in driving, I'm buying something that I wouldn't be too upset about when I'm eventually hit by one of the tens of thousands reckless idiot drivers of the DMV. Thanks to DriveOne, I might be able to at least chase them down better after they do so.

I was having problems with my battery, so I took my car here. They told me I needed a new battery. First of all, the price they wanted to charge me for the battery was significantly higher than anything I could find online, so I asked them to find a cheaper one. They did so, and I chalked that up to not being a car guy and the fact that after all, the shop does need to make money, which I understand. My understanding is that it's pretty standard for the diagnosis fee to be applied to repairs across many auto shops, and this shop advertises that right on their wall. It was one of the reasons I chose to give them my business. So when I saw the diagnostic fee not applied whatsoever to my final bill (400+ for them to change a battery), I asked them why. I got "oh I can do a $70 discount", as if they were doing me a favor. I told them that they advertise applying the diagnosis fee towards the total bill, to which they said "that is not true", and I told them it's right on their wall, which apparently the guy on the phone wasn't aware of. I ended up getting to talk to the "manager", who was pretty argumentative with me, and also tried to deny the existence of the advertisement. When I told him that I saw it with my own two eyes, he then tried to debate me on the definition of "advertising". He then said that the policy of applying the diagnostic fee towards the bill only applies for bills over either 1k or 10k (can't remember which it was). Whatever, I just wanted to be done with them at this point, so I took the $70 discount and moved on with my life. Or so I thought. I recently went to get in my car after letting it sit for a few days only for it to not start up (the original problem I took my car into this shop for). It was dead dead, couldn't even be jumped. I eventually called triple A, and they got it to start with their power jumper. I got a battery test done, and although the battery was fine, there is apparently an issue with the charging system. It sucks, but because of my original experience with this shop, I can't help but wonder if this was the issue from the start.. but obviously, I can't say so for sure, so take it with a grain of salt. I will say, the mechanics and desk workers themselves were quite friendly, but the manager was more interested in debating me than honoring what's on his own wall. Not a great experience overall.

The next day, the owner, Mr. Farooq, claimed he had performed a diagnostic and demanded $240, even though I never agreed to it. I refused to pay for unauthorized work, and he refused to release my vehicle unless I paid the charge. This is coercive, unethical, bait and switch. Under Virginia Code § 59.1-207.3, no repair or diagnostic work may be performed without the customer's written or verbal authorization. Action Service Center violated this law and used bait-and-switch tactics to pressure payment. I do not recommend this shop to anyone seeking honest service. Their practices are deceptive, and they held my property over a charge I never agreed to. Completely no transparency!

I initially had the transmission replaced on my 2015 ford focus in 2022, ordered the part to the shop and had my car towed there. Was back on the road in less than a week. Since then I've reached out several times for various mechanical inquiries (if you've driven or owned a focus you know my pain) and Aldo has always replied quickly, gotten me on the schedule and back driving with no check engine light ASAP.
