First off, let me get my biases out of the way. I have been a long time customer of this establishment. I believe my first auto repair occurred in 2008. Now, I didn't feel the need to Yelp about it because... well, I just didn't think about it since it wasn't food related. I've been taking all of my vehicles to Ramirez Auto Repair since then. Let's just say that Ramirez Auto Repair get's my business because my vehicles get fixed the first time around. I don't have to take them in again later for the same problem (well, I have to take them in every 5,000 miles for an oil change).
Secondly, I'm not here to speak for anyone else or their experiences with Ramirez Auto Repair. I'm not going to throw around defamatory statements such as fraudulent and dishonest because I've never been defrauded and have always had honest dealings with this establishment. Whenever a new problem has been found in my vehicle, the owner has called me personally before working on it and telling me what the most cost effective repair will be. They've always been upfront with me about costs once the problem is found and always require my authorization before any work is done in my vehicle.
Finally, I've never dealt with Ramirez Auto Sales (are they even the same business?) There are plenty of people that I know with that surname. I have never been offered a car by the mechanic. The poster Minh P (the one who posted a 1 star) is talking about buying a car off a dealership. Last I checked this is not a dealership, but a repair shop. I would hope that not much damage has been done to Ramirez Auto Repair for the soreness that one Yelper experienced at Ramirez Auto SALES. Two completely different businesses, two completely different names.
In the end, I'll continue dealing with Ramirez Auto Repair because he has always been upfront in all our transactions, he has been fair, and has always had my best fiduciary interests in mind in finding a repair that has to be done immediately and one that can wait until the next paycheck. read more
