Overall the biggest win for me was that my daughter is going through a very specific indian noodle phase, and this is the only place in KC that I've seen the kind of instant noodles that she is obsessed with. So, we clearly bought a bunch of them! I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to stop here, but I enjoyed my visit and I'm sure when I'm in the area I'll stop in for some staples that can't be found elsewhere.

As much as I would like to support a locally owned business, I just can't justify it with the type of service they offer in the store, their selection, and their pricing.

As it happens, they did have the product I was looking for (white chia seeds) but for the most part if you're looking for groceries neither of these stores are your first option. You need to go to Whole Foods, Natural Grocer, or the surprisingly complete health food departments at many local Hy-Vees! Service was friendly and efficient -- the woman at the counter could go right to the shelf where the white chia was located and the price was OK (it's very popular these days, it seems, so it's not inexpensive). If this location isn't near where you live, DO call them before going to save yourself a wasted trip. But if you're looking for supplements you should be happy camper here or at Emerald Forest!
