Tonight was a planned trip with a list but it turned out to be multiple mini visits as I hit up 3 stores but Hy-Vee 3 times in one night. Go figure. First trip, we located all our listed items, and price compared from the ads, flipp and ad-hoc searches. In checkout with David as our cashier, who was very personable and funny, we needed price override and manager Tom helped out. He explained that an old barcode caused the issue. Afterwards I noticed we didn't get discount with a package coupon so Ty customer service helped with that. Now this store is organized with fluidity and "customer is right" idea. LOVE IT! As I said I had to return a couple more times: missed bundle discount using digital coupon... again Ty handled that with such kindness. Everyone we encountered was so helpful, had a pleasant and good attitude. You could tell they loved working there together as a team too! read more

Stopped by this location on a whim, while on my way to The Store/Pollards. I purchased caramel pecan sticky buns from the Hy-Vee bakery for a breakfast treat and this proved to be a real disappointment. The buns were dry and scorched, the caramel sauce was scanty, and the pecans were sparse and tasteless. I'm not tempted for any similar indulgences in the future at this location, and I can't recommend other consumers consider it as an option. A sad experience, and not one I'll repeat. read more

Called on a Tuesday for a refill told it would be in Thursday. Went to pick up on Friday before going out of town and it wasn't ready. Came back after weekend on Monday to pick it up and it wasn't ready not filled. Told me it had been canceled. It is now six days without my rx. They are filling it while I wait. I hope. read more

-0 STARS! Attempted to pick up my order after a 25+ min drive just to be told I can't. I used a SAVED EBT card which is saved to my Hyvee account to make my purchase. I showed my ID to the assistant manager and was told I was not able to pick up my groceries without the EBT card. I offered to show the text, email and also on my app and prove I placed the order. I offered to give the last 4 digits of the EBT card as well. When I asked to speak to a manager I was told she was out of town. I asked if someone else in the store was handling complaints and I was told no. The assistant manager called the manager on her cell (not even sure it was the manager) and she tried to tell me the same thing. I explained that I only came to this location because out of all the stores close to home this was the ONLY location that had every item I wanted. Apparently I was "new" to the store even though I have purchased here multiple times. In the past 18 months I have not. Again, I do not live in the area. I was willing to make the drive for the items I needed for my household. So now I wasted gas, time and did not get anything I was hoping for. The Belton and Prairie Village location NEVER had me show ID let alone the payment card. This location was very prejudice and their customer service was NOT how an assistant manager should respond to customer complaints let alone miscommunications. I WILL NOT be back to this location. I will make sure everyone I know DOES NOT come to this location as well. read more

My local grocery store! I love it! The staff is always friendly and the store is so well organized and always clean. I love their produce section it is bright and the produce always looks fresh. They get you in and out quickly they are never long lines. This time I have ordered ahead to pick up my groceries but I forgot to add a few items so I ran in to grab them. Then I went to customer service and told them I needed to pick up my groceries and they brought them out to my car. That is so helpful when shopping with small children. One of the best things about Hy-vee is that they offer closer parking for new moms it's really nice to not have to park far when carrying a car seat in. read more

This store is only good to serve a reminder of why I should go to the Lee's Summit location instead. Poorly stocked sales items, inefficient employees, management has no clue on how to order popular items and keep them in stock until the next order comes in, and just over all small and lack of a good selection. It's a disappointment nearly every time I go here. Probably the worst Hy-Vee in the metro. read more

I went there today. Big mistake I went to cereal aisle and a big ladder was parked there the type that can't be pushed. I shopped too come back in hopes it would be moved, it was not I then went to see the manger at the cus service counter. He could not even be bothered to say sorry for you inconvenience. He then came out looked went and talked to another man on a ladder who called some. I found as I wanted 5 min and nothing I saw the so called manager back at the desk he never bothered to came back to me and say it will a few min were waiting for it to be moved. I did not find out until I got tired of waiting and comforted him telling him I was leaving to go to another store. I understand repairs hand to be made but when you are in a retail you make all owned so customers can buy. He could have resolved this buy just contacting a store rep who was tall and could have reached over and got it. You need to start training your people on customer service and to do there job or fire them. Please respond to this I like this Hy-Vee but I have options. read more

Though I am closer proximity to the Independence Hy-vee, this store kind of outdoes that one. Mainly for several reasons. Barring missing a Community America branch or ATM, this is the first Hy-Vee in the area to carry Shatto Coffee milk, and Shatto cheese. The Shatto Coffee Milk is a must have in my refrigerator, so kudos to the dairy manager for stocking it. The store carries items the other stores don't. Plain and simple. And they are the first to carry seasonal food items, before the other stores. I am completely hung up on banana popcycles, and when the other Hy-vees don't have them, this store does. It has a very nice, off sectioned wine department with a great staff that knows their products. Their meat department and healthy food area is very nice. The deli area is fresh, and the employees are on the ball. Due to the coffee milk, I plan on shopping here alot more, but it's a very nice, large grocery store, and I'm always happy with the selection. read more

This Hy-Vee is my go-to location for all my staple grocery needs. The store is always clean and the produce is always fresh. The express lanes have always moved every quickly every time I was in line. The employees who work the floor are always very friendly. Good service at the registers can be very hit and miss. Sometimes a register employee will compliment my grocery selections but other times the won't even greet me. I still love this store. It's so very close to home that I will always continue shopping here. read more

This is my go to store. The staff is friendly and the managers are attentive. I read a review that said they sometimes don't stock certain things. On two different occasions I emailed the store and emailed the company of an item I wanted. Within a couple weeks the store was carrying the item. This store is twenty four hours. They hire the Raytown Police to work security, and I always feel safe there no matter what time of day or night. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is Hyvee stores in general are a little expensive, but Raytown has a lower sales tax which makes up for it a little. read more

We are fortunate to have this nice of a Hy-Vee in this area. The store is nicely laid out and clean. Some stores have a grungy feel to it; this does not. My wife and I have no problem shopping here. The only knock against is the checkouts. Maybe it's the clientele, maybe it's the lack of people to check, but it does seem to take longer than most places to check out here. read more

Hyvee off duty employees do not follow social distancing rules. They have clear markings and signs near the register. It states to please wait to be told to put you items on the belt so they can clean between customers. I'm loading my items and the off duty employee standing right next to me loading her items as soon as the belt had enough room. I'm trying to pay and she is all over my shoulder. Before I could even put my bags in the cart, the cashier is already ringing up the off duty employee items. Even if there wasn't a pandemic you should respect people's space. You would have thought we were together. read more

I think the liquor store is more extensive than the one on 291 in Lee's Summit(see review). Very helpful staff, clean environment, they sell food in back somewhere, I stop here when I'm looking for that special something to add to my drinks. read more

I've been a customer of this store since opening day and before that when they were at 67th street back in 2005. Recently, I left my wallet at home and tried to buy $30 worth of groceries with a check and a valid US passport as ID. No dice. "Computer says you need a state ID" Isn't an ID that represents all of the United States sufficient? - especially since the address on the check matches the address on the passport and i live mere blocks from the store. Staff were nice enough so I blame corporate. Still infuriating. Aldi is right across the street fortunately. read more

There are several grocery stores in Raytown. Of the options available, my business goes to Hy-Vee. The Walmart store near my house is always slow and dirty, while the Hy-Vee is always clean and the associates are quite friendly, as well as helpful. If Hy-Vee weren't here, I would definitely drive to Lee's Summit to get groceries from a store I know will have what I'm looking for. read more

This store has a good selection of items. The price is not always the best around, but there are sales which make up for that. If they happen to charge you more than they should have, go to Customer Service to get a full refund on the item. I've done this a number of times, but sometimes you will have to remind them that this is store policy. The liquor store is pretty good too. Some reviewers have said certain hard-to-find items aren't there but they will special order for you. Items I am looking for are often on sale and close-out sale prices cant be beat. It's a huge grocery store, recently built or remodeled -- not entirely sure which, but everything looks clean & updated -- and it carries all kinds of specialty items as well as the usual grocery-store stuff. They've got an extensive deli section with lots of cool cheeses & things, and a big florist's section. The best part is the breakfast buffet on the weekends. Fresh omelettes made to order! Service is always fast & friendly, the folks at the buffet get to know the "regulars" and greet them by name. Great produce too. read more

You would never know you are shopping on the side of a very busy highway in the middle of Raytown in this Hy-Vee. Recently built and oh-so-very big, this location is quite plush... lots of organics, beautiful produce, creative bakery, salad and deli bars, florist, greeting cards, and all the other foodstuffs you need. Shopping here is a bit of an adventure, partially because the interior is laid out a bit differently from other Hy-Vee's, but also because the decor and attention to detail are stunning. Quite luxurious, in fact. Yes, semi-luxury in Raytown. Lots of parking with a street light all to itself! read more

Their prices are higher than WalMart's but I don't care. Nope. I prefer Hy-Vee. The quality of everything is better here. From the ability to actually use my cell phone inside the store, to the Redbox machine, to the always beautifully displayed produce to the friendliness and helpfulness of nearly every employee I've ever encountered here (there was this ONE Time at the bakery... *side eye* ... but that was over a year ago...), to the store's layout, to the fact that they actually open more than two lanes, to their grocery delivery, to their delicious looking salad buffet that makes me actually want to eat from it (something I don't usually trust), to their organic foods section (shelf AND refrigerated items!) Order 1 full sheet and one half sheet for our boys' birthday party. The full sheet cake was supposed to be half chocolate and half white. However, the chocolate half was STRAWBERRY. Not red-devil. Not chocolate. Not swirl. Strawberry. None of the kids wanted it, so it went to waste. We called HyVee the same day. They told us to call back on Monday when the bakery manager would be in. We did so and traded information. They apologized and said they would refund half of the cake price. So far so good. When we went in a couple of days later, the manager says he's never heard of anything and won't refund without a receipt. Complete waste of $25. read more

If you want quick pharmacy service, don't go to the store on 350 Hwy. They like to ring people up with food items, while you are waiting on your prescription... but you can't take you prescription to any other part of the store for a quick check out. I spoke with the manager of the store and she said well we don't won't to lose a customer, not realizing they just lost a pharmacy customer. It takes long enough for your prescription alone, than having to wait on a pharmacy tech trying to figure out how to ring up bananas. Smdh!! Working with my doctors office to move me to CVS our any other pharmacy that is solely a pharmacy!!!! read more
