I believe the turnover in the leasing office has a lot to do with the poor folks who work there who have to basically go against company policy to do good by their tenants. Now they have a person who takes their job very seriously. Nice enough but is a living embodiment of everything people hate about this place so I feel bad for her but also question why you'd want to be loyal to such a shady business. Yeah you may be a star employee but when their vacancies continue to skyrocket they'll blame you. For example, same ownership, different employees - would go out of their way to be helpful to tenants. Or just I don't know, do the right (human) thing? I am not able to come down and grab my guest and they refuse to send them up and say it's not their problem and nothing in the lease says they have to even though I'm calling and telling them who I'm expecting. If I was DISABLED do I think I'd get the accommodation I need if the property won't grant the helper the access they need?!?! And they wonder why so many people are vacating their properties!!!!!!! Honestly, I didn't want to believe the old reviews but not much will change here it will always be something. This is the same corporate greed that Americans are forced to deal with. For me, I'm stuck here until my lease ends and then I am DONE. No more because when you have a need they will lick their fingers while they count your cash and say too bad or that will cost extra or I'm sorry you died but you have to physically come down and buzz your doctor up. Cool. Jerks.

DO NOT LIVE HERE…read more Having lived at Sky for a couple of years now, I can confidently say that the current management (Security Properties) have been the worst of the several management companies who've come in and failed to manage this building. Previous management hasn't been perfect, but they treated the people who live here like human beings, instead of assets for their portfolios. In the span of a few short months, Security Properties has: - Overcharged our rent by over a THOUSAND dollars, and when asked to refund it, they instead opted to give us "credit", so they held on to our money instead of giving it back to us. - Organised a building-wide full-day alarm test with exactly 1 business day of notice, where they said that all pets must not be on the property. After scrambling to find a safe location for my pet, we were notified on the morning of the alarm testing that it had actually been postponed for a month later. - They replaced most of our kitchen appliances with zero indication on why it was being done. There was nothing wrong with the appliances at all, and there were all in near-new quality. - Today, we received another notice to enter our home, stating that they were "fixing the windows with cranks". The windows are not broken, and work just fine. On their notice, they provide conflicting dates on when they must enter our apartment, and provide no information about why it's happening. - The garage doors seem to be broken AGAIN. This has been an ongoing problem on the property for years, and many residents have had their cars broken into. - We have random people parking in our PAID car space very frequently, and management are not very enthusiastic to prevent it from continually happening. No amount of movie nights, "wind down Wednesdays", corporate-sponsored snacks, or kitschy notices telling us how many fun events are planned in the next month make up for the fact that as residents, we should be treated like people. Please, if you are reading this and making a decision on where to live, DO NOT PICK SKY. We'll be looking for another apartment as soon as our lease is up.

You can can easily walk to the movie theater, Safeway, Mod Pizza, and Mud Bay. You can also catch the bus close by, catch an Uber in under 10 minutes every time, or book a Metro Flex car. From the moment I moved in, I have been consistently impressed by the level of service and the welcoming atmosphere that defines this place. I've lived at a lot of other apartments but always felt most of the staff didn't care who you were. We feel like they care at this property. The amenities are top-notch. The pool is one of the nicest apartment pools I've ever been in. They keep the water and the surrounding poolside areas impressively clean. There's even a little sundeck off the back side of the pool. It's been nice during the summer to sit in the sun and just chat with other mom friend neighbors. They also keep this property very clean and they maintain the grounds consistently. So consistently that I know exactly which day of the week the leaf blowers are coming. To be honest, my only complaint about the property is the leafblower noise. Lol. I know they're just trying to keep this place looking beautiful though. I'd much rather have a little noise for one morning per week than live on a dumpy, run down property. My guests are always impressed at how nice the plants, flowers, and trees are here. The apartments are large and have some of the best up-to-date interiors. There are so many units on this property but you never feel "boxed in" at all. What truly sets this community apart though are the people who keep it running, particularly Lili. Lili's attention to detail is evident in every aspect of her work. She goes above and beyond to ensure that people's needs here are met promptly and efficiently. Whenever I've had a question, I've been able to contact her and she never treats me like I'm a burden, no matter how inane my question is. She's prompt at emailing and calling you back too. There's a newer woman working in the office, Kaylee (I hope I'm spelling her name correctly) and she's been very kind and professional every time I've had to drop off paperwork or stop in to ask someone in the office when the rooftop deck is open (because I love it up there but I always forget when it's open...) I really like the office and maintenance staff here. They all give the sense that they care about the people in the community. If you see any of them out on the property, they always say hi. You don't get treated like you're "just another resident". Most other apartment "communities" I've lived in didn't seem very community-like. People wouldn't stay long and you never knew your neighbors. This place is different in that people stay here for years. You don't feel like you're living in a cookie-cutter apartment building. It truly is homey here.

The time finally came this past September and it has been an absolute DREAM! The Property Management team is kind, helpful and most of all Respond with Urgency to any questions or issues I may have. About two months in my dishwasher was having some weird issues so I put in a request through the digital Residential Portal for someone to come look at it. They were there the next day, discovered the issue and completely replaced the dishwasher in 30 min with a new one! When does that ever happen in that time frame? My last property took two months to fix my ice maker! NEXT DAY YALL! The Daily Trash Valet is amazing and so convenient and so are the GIANT community trash and recycling bins which are convenient and hidden so you aren't looking at trash! They just installed a fire pit at the pool which I am super excited to get to use this summer right after my gym sessions in the 24 hour gym! This place has all the luxury without any of the fuss or complications that come with luxury! I am so proud to call Boulder Creek my home!!

It took me nearly 4 months to write this review, as I was giving Boulder Creek and Simpson property the chance to make things right. However, due to minimal (if any) progress after months & limited to no communication - I have to rate this property a zero. When we came to walk around the general area- we noticed that construction was being done on our entire building. We were assured that it would be completed prior to our move in. We stressed our concerns, as the stairs leading to the front door were completely blocked off - meaning the resident could only use the stairwell in the garage to come/go from their apartment. This was a concern because the stairs in the garage are narrow and steep- which we pointed out would not be accessible for our dog (who has arthritis) nor would there be space for us to move our furniture in on moving day. On our move in day we received a call telling us that there was a last minute meeting they had to attend, so our move in time would have to be pushed back. Not the best first impression for brand new tenants. Not only did this disrupt our plans for the day, but it affected our truck rental, & the people we had helping us. (What if we were paying movers by the hour?) There was no regard for us and our time. Moving is stressful already, but this was an added stress, cost & an awful introduction to our first true experience at Boulder. Within the first two weeks (some of these issues are still current) we had the following work orders/notices that we submitted and brought to the attention of Boulder Creek: 1. Floor transitions & carpet not tacked down 2. Carpet nails all over 3. Blinds installed incorrectly 4. Dishwasher had a broken heating mechanism and needed to be replaced 5. Washer hoses were mixed & all settings ONLY sent out hot water 6. Cabinetry falling off the wall because it was glued and not nailed 7. Patio door (that was blocked since move in until more recently- has a different lock that we don't even have a key for, so it is not useable 8. A VERY strong odor of urine in one corner of the kitchen (mice infestation inside walls), and a strong odor of mildew in our kitchen pantry (both of these took a long time to address and are still not 100% resolved) a. After many phone calls and emails, we asked them to cut a hole in the drywall in our pantry only to find out the dryer vent was never connected- so wet lint has been flying through our walls. (Fire hazard! And the main source of mildew- which we still smell on occasion) 9. Our garage door broke 3 times within a 2- week span 10. Uneven sidewalk that is sinking into the ground, & consistent flooding with any rainfall 11. Mossy and unkept patio concrete (we were told this would be power washed) 12. Abysmal landscaping due to ongoing construction 13. Mouse infestation in our walls 14. Exposed dry rot since Day 1 of move in (part of the 'construction'- mind you, the dry rot was never disclosed to us prior to move in) We have had people in/out of our apt what seems like nearly every day. We can barely unpack, because every time we begin, there is a new issue. Unfortunately, this is why I wanted to leave this public review of our experience here, so others can make the decision for themselves if this is a property they want to be a part of. During our time living here, we had limited access to our front door, & ongoing construction 5 days a week for 2+ months. The above issues have made our apartment uninhabitable at many points. These apartments are well over $3200, and do not match that price tag. I have attached photos so people can understand the severity of some of these ongoing issues. I had hoped for more communication, and resolution, but it seems like that is not something Boulder Creek or Simpson properties is open to. The pros of our time here: Our building neighbors are wonderful. Spencer (the handyman) was helpful and acknowledged the interior issues we had, the construction crew has been very friendly and worked with us so we could have more accessibility with our dog while they were working.

Yes the prices are going up everywhere, and I understand business are trying to get the most dollar of profit possible. The next reason is why I feel the price doesn't match.
