Shut your mouth!!! What do you mean this is healthy? How can something so healthy taste so bad for me? I thought I was in love when I tried the chia chips. I call them chia crack and since my discovery of them last week, cannot think of living a day without them. Then today I tried the millet and flax cinnamon chips and oh! the oohey gooeyness. They taste like an Auntie Anne's cinnamon sugar pretzel but without all the butter and carbs! I planned on having two (large) chips, but half the bag is gone now and it took all the control in my body to stop. I picked up a loaf of the ancient grains bread and can't wait to toast a slice up in the morning for breakfast! Thank goodness they provide nutritional info or I would not believe that they are good for you. Scam scam scam ... read the labels! They're flat out lying. I fell for it and I'm going to express my anger at the local shop who caries these fraud products. Slim lavash label has wheat and soy flour ... and label says 11g carbs and 10g fiber ... NOT POSSIBLE. Quick google shows they've been under investigation for years, This is a scam outfit that started out west and they're just riding the low-carb/keto wave. I'm not sure how they're still in business. I went into this location today at 1230, first thing I noticed was how friendly the lady behind the counter was to a customer. I picked up my items and went to check out. The lady didn't say one word to me, hello, thank you, nothing. I picked up my items and decided to purchase a few cookies and also wanted to see if maybe what I felt was going on actually wasn't. A gentleman checked out in front of me and again the lady was pleasant and said thank you. When it was my time to pay for the two cookies, again not a word to me. As I was leaving I said ' you're welcome' and walked out. Customer service goes a long way with me and the lack of it shows disrespect when I am spending my money. I WENT ONLINE AND FOUND THAT I CAN ORDER FROM THEIR WEB SITE WELL THAT WAS THE BEST FIND FOR ME....LOVE LOVE LOVE SAMI's Bakery. I usually order the Breads , Chips, Spinach Pita ....and no sugar added cookies . Never disappointed,..I HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO BE IN ORLANDO THIS PAST WEEK SO I RENTED A CAR AND OFF TO TAMPA I WENT. I FOUND THE BAKERY, OF OURSE I BOUGHT A LOT OF BAKED GOODS. THE ONLY REASON I PUT ONLY 4 stars instead of 5 is the girl behind the counter was not very nice, it was like she did not want to be there. I have become hooked on their Millet & Flax seed chips! I stopped by today to get one of every flavor, but ended up getting the plain and garlic. They were out of the cinnamon chips. Their bread is DELICIOUS! You can tell it is made from scratch. I bought 2 loaves. I stored one in the freezer and the other in the pantry. They definitely have gained a new customer. The only place to come get fresh daily made pita bread and middle eastern appetizers. I am always willing to make the drive for their millet and flax cinnamon chips. They also serve fresh cold appetizers as well as gluten free baked goods. I don't need to eat gluten free but this stuff is so good! read more

I bought this bread form a Health Store in Ft. Lauderdale and I enjoyed this bread. I got the gluten free bread even though I can eat gluten. It was just as good as regular bread with gluten. It is as soft as regular bread and has good texture and does not taste like cardboard like other gluten free breads. It is Not hard like a rock either like other gluten free breads. It took forever for their product to arrive...sometimes two weeks. When I called to speak with them about cancelling an order that hadn't arrived when it was supposed to, the lady tried to interrupt me, wouldn't let me finish what I was saying, and then hung up on me while I was still talking! Wonderful bakery with options for low carb and low gluten. I used to buy their bread that was distributed to a grocery store, but then I found the source. I buy all my bread products here: Pitas, loaves and pizza crusts. I also get hummus and dolmas for lunch. I haven't tried all their baked goods, but I sometimes get the cranberry almond cookies and they don't disappoint. The baklava is killer too! The cashier is always friendly and it's always a quick in and out. read more

I'm a huge fan of Sami's Bakery! They have *in my opinion* the best Pita's in Tampa. They're always fresh, consistent, and delicious. They offer a lot of various Gluten-Free desserts as well...and put them on sale when they're getting close to their expiration date! They don't use preservatives, so their goods don't last super long, but that's how food SHOULD be...so if you agree with me on that, try Sami's out!! Plus, with how tasty their food is, your baked goods probably won't last more than a few days outside of your tummy anyway. :P Just to It's a very small bakery in size (the front area, anyway), so don't expect some elaborate place when you walk in. After all, it's all about the goods anyway! My only wish is that they would stay open later...they're only open until 6pm during the week- making it hard for me to get there after work to pick up goodies. That said, Saturday is my Sami's shopping day (they're also closed Sunday) so I am thankful for what I can get! You will find Sami's products at various stores around Tampa (Nutrition S'mart is a big buyer for example)- but buying it directly from Sami's Bakery is the cheapest. I've actually found their products frozen up all the way in North Carolina grocery stores- so they are a BUSY bakery on the back end! My personal favorite product is their Millet and Flax chips...GAH they are such an easy way to kick chips out of your diet while still enjoying a nice healthy snack that gives that 'crunch'. A lot of their foods are high soluble fiber and low-carb...a foodies dream! read more

Not impressed! I had ordered a birthday cake with very specific instructions for the decoration. The cake didn't even come close to what I had asked for and the baker decided to add her own design which was just horrible. The writing was terribly written. Got past the exterior and tried it. The WORST cake I have ever eaten. I would not recommend ordering a cake from here. The worst part is that I was picking this up the day before the birthday and was essentially stuck with it. I would have been better off with a birthday cake from a local grocery store! read more

I live in NY and have been buying Sami's millet/flax bagels from my local natural food store for a few years. I don't know what they changed, but the bagels no longer function as bagels. There is no way to cut them anymore without them breaking into at least 4 pieces. So frustrating. Will no longer be buying them. Too bad, because I really liked them. read more

If i could go lower than a star i would . I never leave reviews but i downloaded yelp just to leave one after my experience here . Even after previously reading some bad reviews on Samis Bakery i gave them the benefit of the doubt & ordered a gluten free birthday cake for my mother who has celiac disease. The next day, after driving 40 minutes to get there, the Baker says my cake isn't ready, to come back in 30 minutes. Meanwhile they close in 2 hours. So i go eat & come back more than an hour later to find my cake will be done in 10 more minutes. (Good thing i didn't return in 30) I stand & wait . Finally he comes out with a cake on a card board plate & says sorry we have no box. Not only was he expecting me to carry this cake home on my lap with no box, the cake he made me was completely different from my order. I even texted the guy in detail EXACTLY what i needed. His response when confronted was ill understand if you don't want the cake. I ordered a gluten free strawberry cake & he gave me a sample something completely different. He said its almond mixed with gluten free . He understood nothing about gluten whatsoever. After that remark i left. Gluten can be a very serious thing & if cross contaminated in someones food who is diagnosed, make them extremely sick. I wasted so much time coming here & can gladly say i will never return . I do not recommend anyone to make cake orders ESPECIALLY if you have a food allergy, do NOT rely on them to be gluten free. Take this review with seriousness and continue to the next gluten free bakery on the list . I do have a recommendation who saved my moms birthday extremely last minute . Petite Madelyns Bakery on Bloomingdale Ave. She went above & beyond for me after hearing the circumstances i went through . Even coming in the next day on her day off to give me my cake .
