She was so helpful with all of the payment arrangements and any insurance issues we faced. The check in process is so easy, and her appointments always ran on time. The technicians always come out and give updates and suggestions, which makes it very patient focused. They offer various times, which makes it super convenient for working parents and schedules. Dr. Levine was super knowledgeable and detailed with the consultation. He has 30 years of experience and my friend told me she went there years ago and they did such a great job with her teeth. My daughter had an appointment to get some new trays and we were running late. I called the office- no one picked up (which is typical), but I left a message letting them know when we would be there. We arrived within their 15 min late policy, but the back office said they would not see her because they wanted to go to lunch. I know we were running late and that is on us, but when you still show up within their grace period, they should see you. It was a 5 minute appointment to get new trays. Now we are re-scheduled for a couple of weeks later. Poor customer service!! During that process, I had concerns regarding the lack of clear communication about my crown procedure, specifically how many appointments would be required. I voiced those concerns to my VA Community Care Coordinator at Total Dental Care. Despite my initial experience, I chose to give the clinic another opportunity and attempted to return for care in August. I was extremely disappointed to learn that the clinic would no longer see me as a patient, apparently because I had previously expressed concerns about my treatment experience. To be clear, I was never rude, disrespectful, or verbally abusive. I simply advocated for myself as a patient and expressed that the process and number of appointments had not been clearly communicated to me. In all my years receiving dental care, both as a veteran and as a civilian, I have never been refused future care because I respectfully raised a concern about communication. What was equally disappointing was that I was never provided written notification that the practice had decided not to see me again. I only learned this when attempting to obtain additional care. If a practice decides to terminate its relationship with a patient, I believe the professional and courteous thing to do is communicate that decision directly to the patient rather than allowing them to discover it later. I will be sharing my experience with VA Community Care because veterans referred to community providers should feel comfortable asking questions and respectfully expressing concerns about their care without worrying that doing so will result in them no longer being welcomed as a patient. Unfortunately, this experience made it very clear that I am no longer welcomed at this facility, and I will seek my dental care elsewhere.

I was referred to Dr. Avila by my general dentist and so far so good. I was told that i had a limited case that would take around 14 months to complete. My insurance paid some and I paid the rest is on a payment plan. It took about 3 weeks from the time i was scanned to until i got my invisalign. **the first day** I came in very excited to get my treatment started ( i called off work, i was not sure how this would be) also i had just came from Cancun the day before. The initial appointment was 1 hour and a half. I ate before i went because i knew that it would be awhile before i ate again. I was not aware that i had to get attachments put on my teeth, so I went in thinking i would get my invisalign , they would show me how to put them on and life would go on. Boy was i wrong. step 1- The dental assistant did a mild cleaning on my teeth with something that was extremely sour step 2- attachments glued onto my teeth(feels like permanent plaque, the worst feeling ever) step 3 - invisalign placed on for the first time. After they were placed I was thinking "hey this is easy" but I remembered other reviews that I had read about the pain and my orthodontist told me the pain would kick in later and to take some Tylenol. A year later, My teeth are almost where I want them, the office is great at setting and reminding of appointments, I always go during my lunch time and I am in and out in less than an hour and anything I need, they are always there. This has been the only time in my life I have felt confident about my dental process I love it here :-)
