Very unprofessional staff, specifically the front-liners / front desk people. Been coming here for a while with 3 kids, but they get annoyed when you have queries and clarifications regarding account, most specifically billing and statements. Made a schedule for 6 month routine dental check during peak of CoVid19 and was thinking that my kids will still have the same schedule as before during pandemic, which means On-line class at home every Wednesdays and on half-days with MCPS. So I did schedule 3 of them in the afternoon. Fast forward to new school year and calendar, which MCPS and most other schools decided to go on Normal School calendar and schedules. Therefore, I needed to re-schedule my kids so that they won't miss school days. Called the office and talked to Daphne, who's not the most cordial or accommodating of all, to try to ask if I could re-schedule my kids because of the new MCPS calendar. She told me unenthusiastically that there's no opening till December, which I was trying to maneuver my phone to check on MCPS calendar for possible No-school days. She keeps on asking "Hello??" "Are you there??" And I keep on telling her to give me a second because I'm trying to browse my calendar....and still, she keeps on asking me (impatiently) if I'm still there, which I actually keep on making a sound of affirmation to let her know that I'm still on the line. Until she mockingly keep on saying "Hellllooooowww?" (Like talking to a toddler), which outraged me for mocking me and treating me like a kid over the phone. Called the office again and was answered by Dianne and I asked for the manager. Dianne said she could talk to me, and I asked her if she's the manager and she told me it depends on the situation. Question: Since when does a position become flexible and changeable depending on the situation???.. Yes, folks! That's how they treat their 10 year client/patient. Avoid this practice at all cost. There's a better alternative out there that would treat you right. Yes. We're not asking to be treated like kings And queens. All we ask is for proper courtesy and respect. After receiving numerous recommendations for Kids Teeth from a moms' group that I'm in, I decided to make an appointment for C to get his teeth examined and cleaned here. Making an appointment was a breeze; however, for first time patients, obtaining your desired date and time could be difficult. Children under five can only be seen in the mornings and most appointments were already booked six months prior. So when I called, my only option was mid-morning the next day, mid-morning in mid-February, or March. If you fill out new paptient paperwork online prior to your appointment, as suggested by the office, check-in will also be a breeze. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and welcoming. The waiting room would delight any child. They have a small toddler area, a Wii, several Ipads to play games, and other fun things for kids to entertain themselves with. I was pleased that we were seen right at our appointment time. We received a tour of the office, which included several safari and underwater themed rooms. C had his appointment in the coral reef room which was really cool. It really felt like you were under water. Dana, one of the hygienist, was quick to come into the room after the assistant confirmed some information. Dana was great with C, making him very comfortable. As she cleaned his teeth, she gave me some tips on how to brush his teeth easily and more efficiently. When she was done, she rewarded C with a minion tattoo that he chose and a cute little squeaky frog. Dr. Alalouf then made his way into the room to examine C's teeth. He was very good with kids and you could tell that he enjoyed his job. He explained what I could expect this year and upcoming years in terms of dental needs, possible issues, etc. Scheduling our next appointment was easy. After making that, C got even more goodies! We were given a token to put into one of the gumball machines. Great office and staff. I'm glad they came highly recommended. read more

We went here for the first time this past week and had a great experience. We booked both kids at the same time so I stayed with one and my husband with the other. The play area was smaller than I expected, but still pretty neat with the various app games. We didn't know until we were with our hygienist, but the kids can go to the sinks past the front desk to brush their teeth before the appointment if desired. On the way to our rooms, I think I was more impressed with the themes and decor than my kids were lol. Everything looked bright and clean. Our hygienist, Sarah, was wonderful and patiently explained each tool to my 2 year old and let her feel them to get use to it. Sarah asked lots of questions and gave very helpful suggestions and tips on oral care for the kiddo. My momma's girl didn't want to sit by herself on the exam chair so they let me sit on it and had her sit on me which worked wonderfully. My little one felt comfortable with Sarah and Dr. Tan and was very cooperative. Dr. Tan was patient, friendly, and explained everything clearly. My husband said he talked to him about our older daughter and that he answered the numerous questions he asked. They had a great assortment of vending machines with toys. My 4 year old had fun putting the token in to get her toy. They also have cute rubber duckies as an alternative toy to the small ones in the vending machines for kids who like to put stuff in their mouths aka my 2 year old. They also gave us cute cooler bags with the kids toothbrush, toothpaste, chapstick, and a floss stick inside. We will have to come back soon since there were cavities found unfortunately. I took my daughter here for her first ever dentist appointment at 1 and some change and i absolutely love this place. they're informative, nice, and caring. my daughter also enjoyed her visit too because she was very cooperative which is very rare. I would give them 10 stars if I could. What a fantastic experience. This was my daughter's second visit to the dentist. The first one was so unpleasant that I was loath to go again. So we waited a year....bad mommy. I know. We switched insurance plans, and the old dentist wasn't returning phone calls, so we found another one. I have to admit, I picked this one because they had an awesome website. (http://www.kidsteeth.net/) But, I wasn't ready to also be blown away by their service too! They were able to fit us in for a new patient appt the very next day after I called them. When we went into the office, my daughter was bouncing around checking all the technology. She didn't know how to use it, but that's ok, we barely waited 5 min for our names to be called. Each room is decorated with its own theme, from oceans to monkeys and mermaids. A lot of thought went into these rooms. They are delightful. There are awesome fish tanks also, which I think are for the benefit of the parents who are sitting through the appt. The hygienist was super sweet and made my daughter feel comfortable right away. She got to choose from chocolate, cherry, orange, bubble gum and a slew of other flavors for the vitamin and the toothpaste. She also got to wear sunglasses to block out the harsh overhead light. They used an intraoral camera, some kind of bacterial camera, and did x-rays. They do not lack technology! After the cleaning, the hygenist asked my daughter what color she wanted her nails painted, and also let her pick a treat from a pink treasure box (since my daughter was dressed head to toe in pink). My daughter thought it was the coolest thing that she got a silver and purple glitter manicure from the "dentist". (She's 6...but hey I was impressed too!) To top it all off, she also got 2 coins to put into a vending machine to get 2 more treats! And an insulated lunch box with a ton of little treats inside like an hourglass to time how long she is brushing, a cool purple toothbrush, disney princess dental floss, and more. Dr. Alalouf himself was super friendly, explained everything about what we should expect with regards to her losing teeth, etc. It was a fantastic experience. First impressions are everything- and man do they roll out the red carpet for new patients! The first thing my daughter said as we walked out the door? "That dentist was WAY better than the last one. While the care at KidsTeeth is high quality and great for kids, I was extremely disappointed to hear that KidsTeeth does not accept the military dental insurance coverage by Tricare/United Concordia. While most dentists will "write off" the balance not paid by Tricare/United Concordia insurance as a courtesy to military service members, the business model that is used by KidsTeeth's Dr. Alalaouf does not extend that courtesy to military service members. This is a disappointment and insult to military service members. read more

For those who have young kids and looking for a dentist, I highly recommend this place. Never really been to a kids dentist place and now wished my parents took me here. The check in desk is friendly and the front play area is pretty nice. They have wii, computer games, iPads, and some small play things for younger kids. The decorations and wall art are awesome and fun looking for kids. My son who was 2 when we first went there actually looks forward to going to the dentist. The dental assistants are nice and informative. They all seem really good with kids and you need to be to work here! I mostly came here for teeth cleaning but they are thorough and informed me of a few things that we need to watch out for. They gave my son the customary tattoo and a token to get a toy from the gumball machine. A little bribery doesn't hurt in this case! Today was my daughter's first visit to this practice. She's not unlike any other kid, she hates the dentist. At 3, she's had 3 other dental visit and none of which I looked forward to, but this one was different. The young lady who cleaned her teeth was Sarah and she is absolutely wonderful! She made my daughter feel comfortable, gained her trust, and asked before she put any new instrument in her mouth. For the first time not a year was she'd at the dentist! Dr. Sherman was also wonderful! She explained everything and answered my questions and did a thorough exam of my daughters teeth. All in all, I would recommend this office! read more

I'm giving Kids Teeth one star because I don't plan on going back. The receptionist at the front desk was nice. Our dental hygienist seemed indifferent. The dentist was professional and fine. The tall woman at the appointment desk is absolutely rude and unprofessional. I didn't have a calendar with me so I was looking at the one they provided, trying to figure what date would work for a followup. She got upset that I was taking too long, and told me to hurry up, because she didn't have all day. I ended up telling her I'd call sometime with a date. it's sad, because my kids love the play area and the pictures on the wall. it's unfortunate, they had to see their mom being treated so disrespectfully. read more

Jason had "x" number of cavities! WTF? Must run in the family..... Anyhoo, we walk in at appointment time and I WISHED that my dentist had a place like this when I was a kid! The whole receptionist area is set up like a kid's playland. It is PERFECT if you have multiple kids because while one is in with Dr. Alalouf, the other have plenty to play with! No, not cheesy board games, rather up to date electronic games that they already know how to use! *Only thing missing was wifi while I was waiting, but easily taken care of if you have a hotspot on your phone..... Dr. Alalouf came out and explained to me in detail what was done, what to expect, and any follow up that was needed. Very personable touch..... While Jason was getting acclimated to the dentiss chair, Diana told him what to expect, how the sounds of the tools would make him feel, etc.......awesome..... He wasn't scared the least bit.... I feel like child dentistry is something you have to be passionate about and cannot be forced. Front desk lady with strong accent was rude and seemed annoyed. We only have positive things to say about Dr. Sherman. She has a unique talent with kids, and has gone the extra mile to make our kid very feel comfortable whenever he has a visit to the dentist. We've experienced cleanings as well as a couple of fillings, and have had good experiences with both types of visits. One night, our child complained of a slight tooth ache and we were able to do an emergency scheduling quickly. Dr. Sherman was thorough with the cavity filling procedure and explained everything as it was being done while showing the x-rays. The tooth ache problem was solved thanks to her and our kid was happy as a result. All-in-all, we're happy with Dr. Sherman will continue going to Kids Teeth because we trust Dr. Sherman. And to add, she's a mom herself, so she has that extra caring quality that you look for in a kids dentist... read more

For starters I have had problems with my gums when I was about 13 an he said he could fix it. So he did this VERY painful procedure and I left with my gums black and purple. He said they were just bruised and eventually the puffiness would go down. Well here I am 17 years old and my gums are STILL puffy and swollen ever since. No longer black and purple, but still swollen. The second reason I hate this dentist is because a few months ago I was told BY DR.A that I had 4 cavities...... My grandma and I had some doubts so we took my x-Rays to 2 OTHER DENTISTS. 1 random and one my grandma uses. BOTH SAID THEY CANT SEE ANY CAVITIES OR SIGNS THAT SOME MAY BE FORMING!!!! read more

I've taken my child to Kids Teeth for many years, where my child has been seen by two different dentists, but not Dr. Alalouf. My child has pretty healthy teeth, and never had a lot of problems until this past visit. This time, my child was seen by Dr. Alalouf, who, all of a sudden, found a mouthful of cavities, where there had been none 6 months before. I took my child to another dentist today, for a second opinion, and the other dentist said he did not see any sign of anything that looked like a cavity, except for a slight discoloration on one tooth, which he would have watched, not put a filling in. Dr. Alalouf had his license suspended before (in 2008, check Google) for saying children needed treatment when they didn't - I sincerely hope this is not happening again. My son was 3 when he needed to have some cavities fixed, he sat there for 45 mins listening to Toy Story through headphones with chocolate scented laughing gas. Not one single tear from him...he barely even moved, I thought he fell asleep. How many people can say that their kids love going to the dentist? Everyone is friendly and helpful here. This was in all honesty the greatest change we could have made for our daughters when it comes to dentistry. A friend referred them to us, and we have in turn referred many others. They are amazing with the kids, and seeing the difference in how well the kid's respond to all the staff, and the entire dentistry experience is truly brilliant! From the moment you walk in, all the way back into all the themed rooms, you can see just how much thought has gone into creating an environment that truly caters to children. They were even able to help my daughters bruised front teeth, and she no longer feels any embarrassment when she smiles, that is priceless! read more

I wasn't sure what to expect when I brought my 1 1/2 year old son in for his first dentist appointment here--going to the dentist usually isn't a great experience and for toddlers, everything is hit or miss anyways. However, I was very pleasantly surprised when we walked into the office--they have done a terrific job making the place kid-friendly. I don't think my son even realized he was at a clinic because he made a bee-line straight for the toys and play equipment set up in the waiting area. When it was time for us to go back to the exam room, again, I have to give Kids Teeth two thumbs up on decor and atmosphere. My son loved the built in fish tank "bubbles" in the walls and I don't think he even really noticed all the dental equipment. The dental tech did a wonderful job talking to my son and showing him the equipment she was using on his teeth and, similarly, the dentist was also great and answered all of my questions. Overall, this is a great pediatric dentist clinic. The wait time was short, the staff were all really friendly, and the clinic itself is just what you would hope a kids waiting room would look like! I look forward to bringing my child back in for his next dental exam at Kid Teeth. read more

I can't say enough great things about Dr. Alalouf and his staff. We have been patients for 7 years. My children love going to the dentist. The office is simply amazing for kids - the artwork, aquariums, manicures, tattoos, and games are a hit. The staff is always courteous and friendly, and they never keep you waiting. The hygienists have a gentle touch, and Dr. Alalouf is thorough in explaining developments in my children's dental health as well as treatment options. If only they took adult patients!!! read more

A few months ago we switched to Kids Teeth LLC, and had a wonderful experience with Dr. Sherman for cleaning for my 6 and 3 year olds. They did their own set of xrays and said my daughter needed 7 fillings and needed to redo her sealants, with 6 of the fillings being on her baby teeth that she would lose within the next few years anyways. We decided to move forward with redoing sealants and getting a filling on her permanent tooth, but had to have that done by Dr. Alalouf because he was the only one who could use the laser machine they have for fillings. We had a horrible experience with him and now my 6 year old is traumatized and I have no idea where to take her to get her filling done and any else in the future. He wasn't able to get the filling or sealants done bc he was forceful with her and she got scared. He also decided to give me a lecture about parenting and how "kids shouldn't win". I was offended, and never going back there again. Then I came home a did some research online specifically on him, and saw that he had lost his dental license several years ago for a few years because of multiple complaints of doing excessive unnecessary dental work on kids. read more

My child absolutely loves this practice and never dreads appointments. The waiting area has iPads and a play area available for children to use until they are called for their service. Each of the rooms are decorated in different animal themed motifs and include a variety of stuffed animals hanging all around the room with vibrant painted walls to match the animals habitat. All of the staff members and doctors are friendly and really put your child at ease. The office also sends appointment reminders via email or your cell phone that you can upload into your calendar. We visited this week to have the last 2 baby teeth that were too stubborn to come out on their own pulled. Once they numbed the area my child didn't even know the doctor even pulled them out and he also called in the evening to ensure my child was doing ok. I highly recommend this office to parents because they definitely break the stigma of fear of going to the dentist. read more

I called stating I was looking for a pediatric dentist as we are in the process of looking for a new dental plan to include our 3 year old daughter. I asked the receptionist for advice on the various plans and she told me my husband and I had to sit down and do our research. Umm... that's what I was trying to do. Then when I asked if I could make an appointment for my daughter for next January when coverage would kick in, the receptionist got all frazzled and annoyed when I asked her to look up an alternate date/time. Dr A and his crew are absolutely amazing!!!!!! My kids (3, 5, 7) LOVE going to the dentist. All of the staff from the front desk to the hygienists to dr A himself, they make the whole experience a pleasant one. It's easy to make an appointment and when you get there the office is super clean and welcoming. Really what stands out is the staff though and how well they work together. Everyone seems to get along great and they seem to really love what they do! In turn, the kids love to go! I don't take the time to write reviews but for them I had to. Great Practice. My 2 yr old son thought he was walking into a play land instead of a dentist office. This was his 3rd dentist appointment, only because the other places we tried, although pediatric dentist, were not very child friendly. he had a great time and it was the first time we have ever gotten through a check up with him laughing, and smiling. I called to make an appointment and the receptionist was very rude to me. She act as if she didn't want to be bothered and caught an attitude with me. I decided to not make an appointment because the customer service I received was very unwelcoming. I can not imagine they are good with kids if they were horrible with an adult. read more

The place looks nice (big waiting area for kids), the doctor was not so nice - we had a tooth broken and he proposed just to remove it (for 2 yr old kid). At the other children dentist the doctor showed as x-ray, talked to us and we came to decision that only small piece of the tooth can be removed and we can wait on the rest of the teeth - overall it was much better and personal experience. Kids Teeth LLC though not more expensive than the rest of the dentists (seems to be), so with regular services I might even recommend them. read more

We've been coming to Kids Teeth for 10 years now. The staff is very professional and more than anything my kids look forward to going to the dentist as if it were a BIRTHDAY PARTY! Really, it's true. They love the dentist and are well taken care of when they are there. They have been great in emergency situations as well. My Son is almost 7 and just had sealant put on his teeth to protect from cavities, it required a lot but prior to doing this, they explained every tool they were using to him to make him more comfortable and allowed them to check everything out. Both of my kids come here. The office is layed out like a video arcade not a dentists office so the stress level is reduced immensly. Generally competent denistry, although I feel they push the xrays too much, especially for kids. My daughter loves to have her nails done while she gets her teeth cleaned. read more

This place is great for kids, especially if they are new to going to the dentist. There are lots of gimmicks, prizes, decorations, etc. that make kids feel like they are at a fun playspace than a dentist office! My 2 year old actually said, "I want to go back to the dentist" after her last visit. They counted her teeth, knew how to use the right analogies and language to make it all sound fun and interesting versus scary and threatening: "I'm going to tickle your teeth now with this tickler tool," or "can we count how many teeth you have? can you guess?" After her cleaning and seeing the dentist, they painted her NAILS as a treat--she LOVED It of course--dental check-up and a manicure! :) Since she is young we haven't had to deal with procedures like cavity fillings yet, but as she get older I will report back--it's great for getting kids comfortable and learning the basic steps of a dental appointment. read more
