A few things to watch out for with this company: 1. Sami will give you a low bid, but constantly add labor/materials along the way. I paid $10K more than I was expecting for the project I hired him for. 2. If you're in the Seattle area, you'll be considered a hassle. Sami is in Bothell and doesn't like to have to come out to Seattle unless absolutely necessary. 3. Be prepared to work at their schedule. Many times I was told that Sami or his workers would be at my house at a certain time. No show. Or several hours later. Sometimes even bright and early on a Saturday. 4. Do a THOROUGH walk-through before dismissing the project as complete. I made the mistake of paying slightly less because ceiling tiles were on order to complete my project. It's been four weeks, I've followed up w/ no response. So there's still an area on my project that is incomplete. Quality of work was average. Time to finish the project was long, very long. I've been working with them for over 7 months...for a basement remodel. I have no idea if SAMI Construction is any good. I never got a chance to hire them. I didn't reply right away (2 1/2 days) so they sent me a flood of emails and then scheduled an appointment to come to my house without even speaking to me. That was the last straw. We found Sami construction through yelp from Texas to remodel our new home in Seattle. We were extremely worried about trusting someone online, but we're so glad to have found Sam! He's been extremely prompt and unlike other contractors we've worked with, has been very proactive and communicative throughout the process! He's a perfectionist and goes the extra mile to get the best look for the project. I'd like to highlight 2 examples that took us by surprise - our instant hot water system got damaged during the demo and the replacement had a silver faucet that did not match the kitchen. Sam went ahead and purchased a sleek replacement faucet to match the look without us even requesting this! We had a lot of nit-picky asks for our master bath, and he complied with every one of them. But he went over and beyond by finding a matching single piece of marble for the separator between shower and rest of the bathroom to give a clean look! Over the course of the project, we've had numerous new requests, and Sam has always been patient, said yes and made it all happen!
