Where do I start…read more From the day we emailed a quote request to the moment he left us at the reception our interactions with Tim (and Bethany) were all positive. We first met Tim at a neighborhood Starbucks to get a good look at his work from start to finish. He was able to provide weddings in full and not just some of his top shots. This provided me with the confidence I needed to book him. We drove home from the meeting and we're like giddy kids that had just met a new best friend. We went ahead a day or so later and signed the contract via email. Needless to say, we were extremely satisfied with the level of professionalism we received from Tim through all of our communications. Moving on to the ceremony and reception. Tim and Bethany arrived to our contract locations on time and once they got to work, you barely even noticed they were there. But looking through my pictures, I was so happy with all the little details they caught in my home, my hotel room and during the ceremony and reception. I was in tears (of happiness) at how special they made my wedding day simply by capturing some of the silly, fun and sweet things that happened that day. I have to mention this, and I hope she'll laugh...At one point before the reception, Bethany even hooked me up with some of HER bobby-pins and post ceremony, helped scrub a small mud stain or two out of my dress. Bethany-- you should think about being a day of coordinator--you were so much better than mine! lol I kid you not, my entire family and friends are still talking about how sweet and nice Tim and Bethany were. Tim and Bethany are a dream come true and truly some of the best people we have ever worked with…read more Starting with our engagement photos, Tim worked with us to find the perfect locations and made sure we were completely comfortable for the first session. We didn't know what to expect going in, but it was such a fun day and the pictures turned out absolutely gorgeous! He seriously thinks of everything and takes some of the most beautiful photos I have ever seen. He captured our happiness and excitement perfectly at the time of our engagement. Organizing and planning for the wedding day with Tim was also extremely easy, he is super responsive and easy to work with! Also, aside from amazing photos, early in our planning process he gave us some vendor recommendations - many of which we ended up also working with who were equally as amazing. For the main event, our wedding, Tim and Bethany truly went above and beyond. We were working with a tight timeline which included a first look with the groom, my dad, and my bridesmaids as well as two different getting ready locations, and a large wedding party. None of this phased them at all - our timeline was managed perfectly while still getting all the photos we wanted. They also helped us pick the perfect locations for our photos - the Ambassador balcony for our first look and a park for additional pictures that allowed us to be by the lake/city, and still close enough to the ceremony location. Tim and Bethany were also snapping pictures when we didn't even know it! We have so many special photos of memories we didn't even expect, like crossing the street to the church with my sister holding my dress and my sister helping my mom with her dress. They worked flawlessly throughout the event, and I hardly even knew they were there! Tim also made sure I got all the different friend shots I wanted and worked with my sister to round everyone up! Ese was our photographer for our big day, and he was wonderful! He was very creative, and had…read morenumerous suggestions for where we could take beautiful outdoor shots (we chose the Japanese Gardens in Geneva, IL which were incredibly beautiful). He set up a beautiful and emotional first look for us there as well. I loved that he personalized my package for what I was looking for (I had a breakfast in the morning I was hoping he could photograph- and he said no problem), and that he got all of the big moments in our day- from getting ready until the very end- he literally traveled around with us all day. My favorite part was that we walked from the church to the reception hall and he had someone in my family move his car over so he could walk with us and photograph our private moments together. Ese is friendly and fun, and my bridal party enjoyed him throughout the entire day. He definitely shoots in the photo journalistic style, so there will not be a lot of time spent on "group shots" unless you specifically ask. Ese is a bit pricey, but his price included the day- I never felt like he was going to say, "your eight hours are up, I'm leaving even though there are still big things to happen" which is different than many photographers I've seen at events. Photographer is one of the most important wedding day decisions and I was so pleased with our choice. Definitely check out his site- you will not be disappointed.
