We used Robb Davidson for our daughters' milestone pictures (age 2 and 4) and really enjoyed the experience. After having very minor difficulty finding his studio (hint: keep your eyes peeled for his logo on the sign) we went right in and he was waiting for us. He did a nice job making our girls feel comfortable and wasted no time starting to shoot. Robb's easy going personality and fun spirit kept things light and enjoyable the entire time. He also did a wonderful job making both girls feel like little models by positively encouraging them when they were posing well and smiling. The studio itself is warm, clean, and inviting and has plenty of space with multiple backgrounds and props. We felt right at home. Getting the proofs from Robb took no time at all. I cannot say enough good things about Robb. We originally booked another photographer during Covid who accidentally double booked. I highly recommend Robb for any photo needs. We used Robb for our wedding photography, and I am so glad we hired him (came as a recommendation from friends). Unfortunately, it took the illness of a family member to get us to finally have some updated photos of our extended family taken (my husband's side, 3 generations from grandparents to grandkids). Fortunately, on short notice, we found Robb (thanks Yelp!), and that he came recommended by what I think of as "the E Brothers" helped put my mind at ease. His website is so comprehensive that I had all my questions answered before I even called him. Except of course, would he be available? We were in luck! He agreed, heroically, to "shoot" our family the day after Christmas. When the day rolled around, we ended up having to move the shoot to a rehabilitation hospital in Streamwood do to the aforementioned illness. Robb put the whole family (10 adults, 5 kids) at ease in a situation that could have been quite tense and uncomfortable. The hospital allowed us to use a common room for pictures, and Robb made the best of a not-so-ideal situation. He got the kids to cooperate, from baby, to preschooler, to teenager, and managed to work with the assortment of moods we all were in that day. He spent a lot of time with us, was very patient, and was respectful of our family's situation. All of this would not be deserving of a five star review had the photos not turned out spectacularly, but - awesome! They're amazing. Robb took our family photographs at a local historical feature in our town; we are blown away by all of the fantastic moments he captured! We cannot thank him enough for being so easy to work with and incredibly friendly. Having 3 boys does not typically make for a relaxing photo shoot; Robb had them relaxed, laughing and caught the true personality of each family member. This is my second review for Robb because booking Robb Davidson as my wedding photographer was honestly the BEST decision I made when wedding planning! From start to finish, it has been so unbelievably wonderful working with Robb. He is super responsive, very knowledgable, and a whole lot of fun! We booked a comprehensive package with Robb, with engagement photos (complete with a guest book), wedding day coverage, a second photographer, and a third photographer for a photo booth at our reception. As I posted back in October, the engagement photo session was an absolute blast; Robb really helped us to feel comfortable with the process, and it was great to do a photo shoot prior to the wedding to ease what I call "photography nerves". (I like to laugh a lot, and sometimes that doesn't always look the best in photos; Robb totally knows how to work with that and produce AMAZING shots!) I think one of the other fantastic things to call out is that Robb really helped us come up with a realistic workable timeline for our wedding day. This was great for photos, but also great to share with other vendors too. Robb is definitely someone who helps you along with the process. Working with Robb and his other shooters our wedding day was SO MUCH FUN! Okay.. so I am really late writing this review about Robb. He has been taking pictures of our son and family since he was 6 months old, he's now almost 2.5. So we see Robb every 3-6 months. We LOVE him. He is flexible, personable and great with kids. We live in the city and have seen Robb both in the burbs and he has made multiple trips to our house. He is always on time, professional and makes our son smile for as long as it takes to get some great shots. I am routinely late on Christmas cards and Robb has put stuff in Dropbox so I can get things out on time. Robb shot our wedding a year ago, and at the time we were really happy with Robb's service and the results. However, we wanted to wait a year to write a review, just to make sure we were still satisfied with his service or if it was just the afterglow of our big day. A year later we can still say we loved working with Robb! The biggest plus of working with Robb is his personality. A wedding photographer ends up being part of your day, whether you like it or not, so it pays to have someone with a good personality hovering around all day. Robb is fantastic. He makes the photo shoots fun, he mingled well with the guests, and he avoided being a nuisance as many wedding photographers can be. He's not intrusive, but still gets good shots. He gets good reactions from guests and adds to the atmosphere. As far as photos go, Robb delivered our photos on time and they looked great. In fact, he had a sample of photos from the ceremony up and running during the reception, so we didn't have to wait long at all to see our pictures. ROBB IS AMAZING!!! I knew Robb many years ago and when I found out that he was a photographer, I immediately wanted him to photograph my wedding. He is incredibly knowledgable and passionate about photography, and so talented. We booked Robb for our engagement photos and wedding photos, and he was TERRIFIC! He made the engagement session fun and easy, and was really receptive to our suggestions for photos. Robb would also respond quickly with any questions we had for him in planning the wedding. We really struggled to find a location to take photos between the ceremony and receptions, but Robb had plenty of suggestions and even went so far as to go with us to scout locations. The day before the wedding we hosted a pickup basketball game for the groomsmen and Robb came out and surprised the groom with professional photos of that event. When the wedding day rolled around, Robb was fantastic. He was seemingly everywhere at once without being overbearing. When we took photos in between the ceremony and reception he kept everything light and enjoyable while getting tons of great photos and keeping everything on schedule. I knew that we didn't have to worry about fitting things into a specific timeline at the reception because Robb made sure to stick around to get all of the best shots and special moments. Robb's photography was worth every penny and then some, and he helped to make our wedding day relaxing and enjoyable. Our family and guests were very impressed with his work and had nothing but wonderful things to say about him. Overall we really couldn't be happier with the choice we made. We've been to friends' weddings where the couple is still waiting on their photos months later. Robb is seriously the absolute best photographer you will ever find! We met on two occasions prior to my wedding and he got to know mine and my now husband's wants for photo opportunities. He was also a great help when it came to me emailing him throughout the wedding planning proccess. He responds quickly and efficiently! He had helpful recommendations for coming earlier to the site prior to the ceremony/event to get the "getting ready" photos and such because we can always add more time at the end of the evening to ensure we get all of the shots we wanted.
