service requested i'd went to the computer shop last friday to seek a solution to the plugin port of the chromebook charger i was using having got bent. i'd originally asked if the charger had the potential for repair, to which the worker who came out from the back of the store upon me entering replied he did not believe so. however, he showed me the replacement option available at the store, and effectively explained that the replacement features an outlet cube separate from the usb c charging cord that plugs into the laptop, in comparison to the previous charger, in which the charging cube and cord are attached. and further, after deciding to buy the replacement charger, i asked the worker if the store recycles irreparable electronics, to which he said yes, that being the most appealing aspect of the guest experience to me. nevertheless, while he did not clarify to me how often the store recycles the electronics, i'd decided leaving the damaged charger for the store to recycle was worth some wait to avoid a couple mile trip to the natural evolution electronic recycling center while i've got barely any other electronics to recycle. quality the quality of the anker brand no. 1 model charger i'd bought has been satisfactory, charging the chromebook effectively, and while i'm no longer capable at the moment of precisely comparing the charging speed of the replacement charger to the previous one, it seems to me to charge more quickly. value while i'd not checked the price of a matching model chromebook charger before going to the store, and neither during nor after the experience, the price of 59.99 plus tax seemed high but not exorbitant. read more

I was building a gaming PC for the first time. I got everything ready, but when I tried to turn it on, the RGB RAM would light up, but nothing else came on. I eventually took it here to see what was wrong. There was a $25 diagnostic fee, and it was about 2pm on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend and they had 5 or 6 orders ahead of me, so I knew they might not get to it that day. But at 6:30, they called and said it was just a bad PSU. I was able to pick it up that same day before they closed. I took a brand new Dell computer into SAME DAY COMPUTER SUPPLY to see if they would would be interested in exchanged services and or parts for my Windows 7 lap top. In exchange for THEM ACTUALLY FIXING MY PC, I agreed with giving them the brand new, Dell PC. I stipulated that MY LAPTOP HAS TO WORKIN EXCHANGE FOR IT. I have used this place for years because I thought they were the only place I could go after my husband passed away. He was my computer person. But they have ripped me off for the last time! This time they charged me $70 to change a setting that was not the problem at all! They said they watched the problem for hours and that the the setting was the problem. I got the computer home plugged it in , same problem. So I changed the power cord and guess what I FIXED IT. I worked on it for a few days and not one problem. My boyfriend and I dropped his computer off because it was power cycling. We paid an upfront fee for a diagnosis which came that day as being the power supply. When we returned, they gave us an invoice with the total price as being $108 and change. We paid the $108 upfront so we didn't get hit with unexpected expenses. We waited 18 days (not including Christmas Eve or Christmas Day) to get it fixed; and as it turns out, it wasn't even the power supply. They called us after installing the power supply and said it was the mother board; and since it was misdiagnosed, they would "take care of it." AT NO TIME DID THEY MENTION FEES. We called several times to check on the progress and NOT ONCE DID THEY MENTION MORE MONEY FOR PARTS OR LABOR. Doesn't that what, "We'll take care of it means?" They are the ones that messed up the diagnosis and assured us that they'd take care of the mother board issue. However, when we went to pick it up, not only was it still nonfunctional because of another issue not disclosed to us, but they charged us a pick up fee of $94. NOT ONCE DID THEY SAY WE WOULD GET CHARGED A "fee" for pick up. It's no where on the invoice nor was it communicated during a phone call. If you took your car to a mechanic, wouldn't they call you and tell you what to expect as far as problems and fees BEFORE they did any repairs to your car? Wouldn't they also let you know what the labor would be if they charge for that? I think the lack of communication on fees and the issues with the entire system made me the most upset. How does a diagnosis not include every testable aspect? Why wouldn't a repair company not disclose labor fees or explain BEFORE pick up that there will be price differentials? I am so MAD about all this hassle that I'm going to give this place 1 star and a nonreferral to others. Over the course of the next 3 months both laptops suffered several malfunctions. Finally one wouldnt turn on and I took it back. Same Day Computer Repair and Sales is a thief shop. My SONY laptop was broken down last Wednesday. I went to Best Buy after 5:00 PM last Friday (Nov. 2, 2018). One guy in Best Buy opened the hard drive and RAM covers to check. I saw the hard drive and RAM look like new, and WHAT COLOR they are. Then, the guy told me that Best Buy couldn't repair over 3~4 years laptop. So, I asked him where I could find a computer repair shop. The guy told me the shop (only address and phone number, without shop name}. I called the shop and knew that they shall charge $20 for check. I went to the shop on 5:45 PM. One guy in the shop told me that they shall tell me the problem tomorrow. And then, I left my laptop to go home. Yesterday morning, I got the call from the shop. They said the mother board was broken down and the total fee is $310. I decided not to fix my laptop and went to the shop to pick up my laptop in the afternoon. Another guy in the shop returned my laptop to me. I found my battery connector is different from the original one because I use my laptop everyday. I asked him why the batter connector was different and replaced. He denied it. I asked him to give me tool to open hard drive and RAM covers. He refused my request. But, his face showed nervous. I immediately went to Best Buy to request them to open the hard drive and RAM covers for me. I was very angry when I saw my hard drive and RAM again. They were replaced by old parts and the COLOR of hard drive is entirely different from my original one. I returned to repair shop to ask them to return my parts. Of course, they refused my request. I called 911 to request police to help me solve the issue. Police told me that I could only sue them. Now, I have found evidence and shall sue them. Also, I found the guy in Best Buy, who told me the shop, looks like one guy in the shop. I shall confirm whether they are relatives. Now, I regret that I didn't search the shop reviews online before I entered the shop. Everyone never goes to the shop to buy any products or let them check and repair your computer in case that they replaced or stole your computer parts. read more

I went there to purchase a laptop for an online business . The person behind the desk offered to help and asked what I was looking for. I told him and he offered a line of laptops that would range from around $200-$400. He offered a couple that would fit my needs and then I went to best buy and looked at what they had to offer before i made my decision. I didn't know a lot about computers so i was asking about a computer at best buy and the csr rep acted too busy and just down right annoyed i asked a question. So i then returned to Same day and the guy behind the counter began showing me a computer and displayed the features from behind the counter. He never let me actually handle the laptop but offered to show me all the functions. I was impressed and bought the hp 4525s. I wasn't able to fully explore the keyboard aspect of the laptop because I used a remote keyboard and didn't need to hold the laptop because I was going through some training classes at work. When I was finished with training and all classes a month later i began using the laptop without the remote keyboard and found out that when typing the space bar clicked and stuck. This was annoying and I called him and he remembered selling me the laptop. It had only been 2days past warranty and he acknowledged knowing about the problem and told me it was past warranty so there was nothing he could do aside from charging me 80$ to fix it because it was a common occurrence. He knew he was selling me a damaged computer initially and I fell into their " sell you a damaged laptop and I'll charge you to fix it later" scheme. I chose to go back there to support local business because I've been a local for 20 plus years . I regret my decision and will no longer support local crooks who choose not to help their customers and go out of their way to squeeze every penny from the public they can. He also lied and told me this laptop was manufactured a 2 years ago when in actuality it was older than that. It does not come with free antivirus as he promised too. you have to pay for it.
