I was incredibly surprised when Allen showed up and after locating the vent outside, told me I didn't need it cleaned due to the short distance of the vent to the outside. How refreshing to deal with a company with such integrity. That's what I call living up to their name! Regarding the fireplace cleaning they previously did, their workmanship was great. Our fireplace has an old insert, so our quote was $200. They gave me their cell number in their Yelp response and I texted back and booked my appointment for that same Thursday in a 12-4 window. They do offer Saturday appointments for an extra $25 to cover their technician's overtime who normally work M-F 40 hours per week, which I think is a pretty good option if I couldn't have taken time off during the week. That Thursday, I got a call from the technician saying he was on his way. Fifteen minutes later, he showed up at 2:30 and was very polite and neat. He was also friendly and accommodating to my dog who thought the technician was her new best friend. Around 45 minutes later, our fireplace and chimney were clean and he gave me the 411 on my fireplace, chimney and insert. I owed $200 as quoted and they accept checks, cash or credit cards. No Venmo or paypal. According to the inspection, my chimney was in decent shape but it was missing a few things. He also warned me that our insert was missing some key safety components and could be a fire hazard and why. This was important information we never knew about which gave us good food for thought. Now knowing the concerns, we may never use the insert again or have it removed completely so we can use our fireplace safely. The technician gave us quotes for some of the items he recommended that we need to get our chimney in good shape: 8x17 chimney cap - $95 Crown Repair - $140 Installing a clean out door - $150 Regarding our insert which had bigger problems: repairing door gasket and hinge pin (wouldn't completely solve the safety issues) - $150 Remove and take away insert - $200 This was an easy transaction with good work completed. Quick to schedule, available quickly, showed on time, gave me a report and quotes. Then all done in 45 minutes. Definitely recommended

The house is 100 years old and the prior occupant hadn't cleaned the chimney in a long time. Joe was able to come out very shortly after I called, and when he came out he was able to diagnosis a few fairly significant issues that needed to be addressed. He then put together a very competitive estimate on the spot. Joe and one of his guys came out the next week and took care of everything. They were very efficient, tidy, and communicative, and the work product is excellent. There were some hiccups throughout the day that were not Joe's fault, and he just rolled with them, found solutions, and executed with barely any delay. And as I wrote in my last review, he is an incredibly nice and friendly guy. He's also very honest, straightforward, and open. I completely trust him and highly recommend him to anybody needing chimney and fireplace work.

He was very nice and explained everything as he was inspecting and allowed me to ask any questions. Sends a technician that has no certification or skills, talks over the phone walking the technician in Arabic. The technician tells me he fixed it, charges me $480, later to realize that the actual charge is $250. Fun part, he will only accept direct transfer via Venmo only for payment! Next time we use the fireplace, same problem. Mark tells me, upon contacting him, that there is another possible problem. But since I am a returning customer, instead of charging me $1200 to fix it, he will charge me only $780, and discount me another $250 that I already paid. Stay away from this company. Of the other insulation companies I had contacted in the Sacramento area, Evergreen was the most prompt and professional. We needed new insulation for our crawlspace and updated insulation in our attic as recommended by a home inspector/structural engineer. We're glad we did because it feels less drafty in our home and the southwest corner of our house no longer bakes in the afternoon. My husband was very pleased when working with Ruben. Ruben clearly explained the issues in our attic i.e. accumulated heat, lacked ventilation, and the 70 year insulation had deteriorated, and made suggestions on what could be done. We were given multiple quotes to work within our budget. We are very happy with Ruben and crew's work as it is held to a very high standard. As a bonus, the crew vacuumed our garage because it was being used for equipment storage. They left it cleaner than when them came.

They didn't test the fan before leaving and took weeks to get them to respond. Turned out they had a big job in San Jose and couldn't be bothered. We had to call the manufacturer and my husband had to scale around the beams to get to the fan to sync the Bluetooth. Today, pest control found a dead rat in the trap and Atticman gave us a quote to fix their crap job. Airflow going from duct to duct instead of mixing box with duct tape that's fallen off.
