New exterior door! Made bigger from the old size that is laying nearby

Amazing work! Couldn't be happier! Repairing an old chimney from the 1960s that was heavily used as a heat source and not taken care of properly, was a massive project that I trusted with Aloha Home Services. Joe was thorough, knowledgeable, and professional! Few things that were done: whole chimney deep clean, cracks repairs in the fire box with regrout and painting, exterior tuckpointing, chimney crown repair, chimney shoulder repair, Cap with damper, new doors, etc. feels like a new chimney! Highly recommend and will be using them for future maintenance!

Aloha Home Services did an amazing job yesterday 8/21/2025 cleaning my air/ducts. I was impressed and would use them again. Joe the owner was very knowledgeable about what the process would be and why. Was a bit pricey but overall did an amazing job.

Thanks to Aloha we have super large fire!

Highly recommend for chimney cleaning and repair! We bought an older home 7 years ago. It has 2 chimneys that had no service record. The Aloha team was professional, clean and fast. Cost for the high level of service very reasonable! Thanks to Joe, we had magnificent fires all winter! We will have them back to do gutter repair and hope to also install a TV antenna.

Professional service, highly recommend We recently moved into our new home and had major issues with our brand new LG front load appliances because they are "smart" and will tell you something is wrong. It turned out that our vent was the issue. We hired Aloha to inspect and clean out our dryer duct. Joe was courteous, professional, honest, and really gave you the sense that he cared. We had not been able to use our dryer since we bought it which was about a week by the time we called Aloha. Joe could tell that we were getting a little desperate and made an emergency run to our property on the same day we called him. The Aloha team cleaned our dryer vent from the roof to the laundry room and back and were very thorough. The amount of debris they cleared from the vent looked like it hadn't been cleaned ever! It was a fire danger and the reason our new expensive appliances were not working properly. Joe then provided us with instructions on how to maintain our dryer vent. He said we won't need this type of service again if we followed his suggestions. Since Aloha's service at our home we have had zero issues with our new dryer and we don't expect too. We definitely plan on hiring Aloha to service our fireplace soon so we can enjoy a fire during these cold winter nights in our new home!!

Joe painting the firebox. He was careful not to have overspray on the decorative stones.

We just had the opportunity to have Aloha Home Services repair our fireplace. The owner of the company is Joe. I don't know if you have dealt with fireplace companies before, but it really opened our eyes. Unlike most companies that will give you a free estimate for their services, fireplace companies will do a "inspection" and charge you anywhere from $89-$449. Joe's company charges $99 for an inspection. What makes his company different from the other fireplace companies is that he will credit the $99 towards a repair or service. We got three estimates and three opinions. Joe was the most knowledgeable, courteous, and helpful. He was also fairly priced. Joe also took it upon himself to see that two vents needed to be repaired... Which he did at no charge to us. We also wanted to deal with Joe's company because he is the owner and he was the one that was giving the estimate and inspection. He also was the one that would be doing the work. He brought another person with him to complete the big job we had. Eric was also very knowledgeable and helpful. They both had an awesome work ethic, took care of our floors and our home while doing their work. They were also punctual. And last but not least, communicated and responded to our questions and concerns. They cleaned the firebox thoroughly, repaired it and painted it with a protective paint. Also repaired the fireplace crown (which was cracked and needed reinforcement to prevent unwanted water intrusion). Removed the inoperable damper and replaced it with a damper cap with a lifetime warranty. They used quality materials and supplies. I checked their reviews. Aloha Home Services has amazing reviews! The pictures are not in order but hopefully you can see Aloha's transformation! And now we have given them a 5.0 review and would recommend them highly!

I've never seen a dryer so blocked with lint
    Anthony R.

When purchasing our home in 2019 we were assured the chimney and dryer vents had been cleaned prior to the sale. We had never used the fireplace and I had some trust regarding the dryer vent but decided to error on the side of caution and reached out for maintenance through Yelp. Aloha Home Services provided an immediate response with upfront pricing and availability. I have to say that the tech probably got more than he bargained for because not only had the chimney and vent not been cleaned, they were in terrible condition. Aloha did a great job, provided pictures during the service and made sure everything was spotless before leaving. I'm glad I called when I did because that dryer was definitely a fire risk and my planned use of the fireplace during the holidays could have been a disaster. Thanks Aloha Home Service for a job well-done!

It's so difficult today to find trustworthy, reliable, dependable, and professional businesses that provide superior customer service and, what my husband refers to as, "squared away" people. At the time I scheduled the appointment, the lady who booked it, gave me all the details, including the cost, and what would be inclusive in that cost. Although I scheduled the appointment, I had to work so my husband greeted Anthony when he got to our home. While I was at work, my husband was sending me text messages about Anthony, how much he liked him, how professional, articulate and smart he was. My husband is not a subject matter expert when it comes to fireplaces or chimneys, however he is a retired engineer, and has a strong family history of working with and for multiple companies and people directly involved in "the trades." Because of this, everything that Anthony went over with my husband, was on point. Anthony and the company he represents, has integrity. This is another quality we don't get from businesses or companies today. Everything went as promised by the person that scheduled my appointment. We had a full report by the time Anthony left with pictures and costs for each item that was suggested. Anthony also strongly encouraged us to not use our fireplace! We love fires, but continued use, in the current state of the fireplace, could pose a safety risk. Most people wouldn't want to pay the cost for the inspection, but it was worth every single penny to us! Our home was built in 1947, and has probably not had many if any repairs at all. Note to the owner: I am sure you treat your team wonderfully well, but please continue to do so. Staff members like Anthony are difficult to find. I've been managing healthcare operations for most of my career and people like Anthony, not necessarily fireplace technicians, but in the workforce as a whole, are few and far between when it comes to representatives of your company.

On September 16, I open a new Yelp project looking for someone to install a fireplace cover (glass…read moredoors, metal screen, etc.). I'm not picky about what kind--I just need something to keep my cats out of the fireplace. Den Defenders responds right away, "We can definitely help with that!" They send a technician named Joseph to my home a week later, and he recommends that I go with custom glass doors. He says he'll send a quote within a few days. He doesn't. Now it's October, and a couple of weeks have gone by with no word from Den Defenders. I try giving them a call. The friendly woman on the phone seems shocked I haven't received a quote yet and promises to have Joseph give me a call later that afternoon. He doesn't. Over the next couple of weeks, I try calling a few times. Nobody answers. My voicemails go unreturned. Fast forward to the morning of November 6, 11:02 a.m., when I get a text from "Josh" at Den Defenders. ("Josh" is in quotes because, as I learned later, these texts are AI generated.) It says, "One of our inspectors met with you earlier this year about your chimney project. Just wanted to check if you're still considering it." 'Well, yes, Josh," I think to myself. 'I *am* still considering it.' That's why I've been calling. I text "Josh" back, explaining that I still haven't received my quote. He says he'll look into it. (Again, while I don't know this yet, "Josh" is a robot and will say anything to appease me.) A few days later, I get another text from Den Defenders. This time: "To qualify for these rebates, your chimney or fireplace project must be completed by December 31st." I think, 'Wow. I would *love* for my project to be done by December 31st. In fact, I would have loved for it to be done already! Alas, I still haven't received a QUOTE.' I call, and I call, and I call. It is now December. Sacramento is steeped in its 15th consecutive day of fog. Temperatures haven't left the 40s in days. It would be lovely to use my fireplace right about now. I am starting to wonder if Joseph is avoiding me on purpose. Beginning to think that I am an incompetent husband incapable of managing even a small project around the house, my wife picks up the phone. Of course, this time, somebody at Den Defenders *actually* answers. (She calls from her phone, which gives some credence to my avoiding-me-on-purpose theory.) Anyway, after talking to my wife, a wonderful gentleman named Steven actually--finally--sends the quote. It's going to be $2,795 dollars for custom glass doors. I'm elated. At this point, I'll pay anything. My credit card is in-hand. But, wait. There's no link to pay the deposit. I call to ask for further instructions. There's no answer. I call again, there's no answer. I leave voicemails. Nobody returns them. I wonder, to this day, if anybody ever listens to them at all. My wife calls again, and Steven picks up on the first ring. He says there's been a problem: apparently, he was "never supposed to send that quote." We ask why, and he's cryptic. He says he'll call us back when he finds out more. He doesn't. It is now December 15. It has been three months since Den Defenders told me they could "definitely" do this project. Our Christmas stockings hang on the mantle, but instead of the brilliant glow of flames flickering through a tempered glass door, all I see is a thick slab of cardboard duct taped across the opening of the fireplace. Desperate, I try calling one more time. It must be a Christmas miracle, because somebody actually answers. I beg. I plead. I am not religious, but I pray. I'll give anything if Den Defenders will just let me pay for these godforsaken doors. I'll do anything to end this months-long nightmare. Rosann, the woman on the phone, is pleasant and apologetic. She tells me that Steven is unavailable. That Joseph is out sick. That she's actually from a different location and isn't quite sure what's going on. That she'll get back to me when she has some answers. Within the hour, I get a text: "After speaking to my team, we are unable to get a glass set for your unit." So now, here I sit. My den? Undefended. My wife? Disappointed. My resolve? Stronger than ever. There *will* be doors on my fireplace, but it won't be Den Defenders who installs them. TLDR: Den Defenders strung me along for months just to tell me they couldn't do the project--even after sending me a quote for the work. Two stars because the people we interacted with were nice enough, but I can't recommend reaching out to this company for any kind of custom project.

The problem is never fixed and they want more money but will discount the money that they already forced out of you. Dishonesty and misdirection is their main service. My home is still under builder warranty and I just needed someone for second opinion. Mark promised me free inspection. I specifically told him not to fix anything but just give me a quote and problem list with my gas fireplace. Sends a technician that has no certification or skills, talks over the phone walking the technician in Arabic. The technician tells me he fixed it, charges me $480, later to realize that the actual charge is $250. Fun part, he will only accept direct transfer via Venmo only for payment! Next time we use the fireplace, same problem. Mark tells me, upon contacting him, that there is another possible problem. But since I am a returning customer, instead of charging me $1200 to fix it, he will charge me only $780, and discount me another $250 that I already paid. Stay away from this company. Edit(03/06/2026) Your comment shows pure shrewdness and proves my suspicion of false promises and lack of professionalism and integrity. I have posted a picture of my conversation with you on yelp. And it's not 19 months old but a month old conversation for the work your incompetent technician did on November 2, 2025. Damaging my fireplace and stating that my review is false is very concerning and misleading. I hope no one else faces this. On 10/13, I spoke with Christina to schedule a fireplace cleaning appointment for a date shortly after our call, with an arrival window of 8:00-11:00 AM. During that same call, I requested that a supervisor contact me regarding additional questions. No one from management ever returned that call. On the day of the appointment, the technician never arrived. At 10:00 AM, I contacted Jeffrey, who informed me the technician was running late and would arrive in the afternoon. No one showed up that afternoon either. When I spoke with Jeffrey again, I provided my address a second time. He then sent a confirmation notification containing the wrong address and even the wrong city. I called back once more to correct the information so the technician could locate my home. Despite all of this, no technician arrived at any point that day. At 4:00 PM, a customer service representative called to inform me that the technician "had something to do with his wife." This explanation was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I demanded an immediate call from a manager. No one contacted me. To this day, I have still not received a single follow‑up call from any member of management. Adding insult to injury, I began receiving text messages a few days later offering to reschedule the fireplace cleaning. I made it clear that, given the severe inconvenience and complete lack of service, the cleaning should be provided at no charge. I received no response. This entire experience is a clear example of extremely poor customer service, a lack of basic professionalism, and an absence of any meaningful management oversight. Despite multiple requests, not one manager has contacted me. Based on the conduct I have witnessed, I cannot recommend this company to anyone. If these practices continue, it is difficult to see how this organization will remain in business.

Alex went up to the roof but did not clean away the debris up against the chimney, he took pictures but did not clean up the debris. I paid $100 for sealing the cracks in the chimney box and he did a good job with that. The inspection on the outside is where things get quite questionable, Alex advised they would fax me back and estimate of any additonal work. The estimate is for $1007. The report lists the condition of my Chimney report as "unsatisfactory" It also says the note is d/t the exit set up of the chimney, but that is not explained. further down in the estimate. Then below are 3 items for remediation. Repair to cap arrestor is noted as "rusted" needs prime and paint, then next box says " preventative" and " fire hazard", $259., the next is Chase cover " rusted or discolored, needs prime/paint, says "preventative" $399., for the base of chimney says " flashing - water issues - install diverter next box says preventative - gives the code that lists water diverter or cricket. The pictures do not show any rust on the cap arrestor nor the chase cover only soot, and the discoloration is dirty water on top d/t it had just rained. The base of the chimney picture is covered with debris that alex did not remove before he took the picture which means he did not actually look to see if flashing was below the tile, nor did he see that there was flashing there w/ a water diverter that had been installed by my roofer in July last year. It can be seen in the picture zooming to the R. The quote says w/ the code either water diverter OR cricket, but when you talk to them they say well its better with both. When asked about the estimate they sell you that its all legitimate work but then say, estimate does say preventative however, estimate also says condition of chimney is "unsatisfactory". If this is work that is not necessary at this time estimate should say currently satisfactory, just because it could be better does not mean its necessary. I would even beg to differ that since they did not remove the debris at the base of the chimney, not only is the inspection of that area invalid, it is also incomplete work because he failed to " clean the chimney area". I have talked to them at length about the report and they justify the "type of work is code work" but not really necessary to my house today. They dont come right out and say, this all might be things you should do in the near future to be proactive. The cost of just priming and painting, per my brother in law who is a contracter said thats an hour job and they want to charge you $700 then wondered why for the cost they would not just replace the cap arrestor for that price? Since I did have roof work done by a licensed contractor in July I will be reaching out to him for his comments and follow them up here. Still 1 star not happy with overall feeling misled and work on roof w/ debris left incomplete work.

He was very nice and explained everything as he was inspecting and allowed me to ask any questions. Turns out my fireplace is in great shape, was rarely used by the previous owner, and is easy to clean myself. So rather than pushing me to have him clean it, he simply charged the inspection fee. This alone has earned my respect and trust because he was being honest and not just trying to upsell. It was a quick and pleasant appointment and I will definitely hire them again :)

ACD Team Solutions is a reliable and dependable service. We got an error message d80 on our LG…read moreTHINQ dryer and it stopped working. We checked and found out it meant the exhaust duct had 80% blockage. I called on a Sunday afternoon and requested emergency tech service. ACD was able to accommodate us after checking with the tech. Leo did an awesome job despite the 100+ degree heat. He had to go Up on the roof. He even wore a mask and booties, while inside the house, to respect Covid protocols since we had a toddler and immunocompromised people at home. I would definitely recommend them. The final charge was close to the quote given by Yana, their dispatcher.
