They live up to their name! I first had them out two years ago to clean my chimney before converting my fireplace to gas and they did a wonderful job. The technician recommended that I get the dryer vent cleaned next, which I delayed on due to other things that were needed. Last week I finally got around to scheduling the dryer vent cleaning, which was today. I was incredibly surprised when Allen showed up and after locating the vent outside, told me I didn't need it cleaned due to the short distance of the vent to the outside. The visible part of my chimney from inside is caked with soot (and I don't burn a lot). I base this on the first time they came out. Actually discovered this place via Groupon, but then realized we were just outside their service area according to what was listed on Groupon. Called them up and inquired if they would still consider providing fireplace cleaning service and was warmly greeted. Was able to schedule in less than 2 weeks time period. (We weren't in a rush, so nice that they were willing work with our schedule). Got booked immediately and didn't even need to use Groupon, they honored the price! Courtesy call when they were on their way, technician was very kind, service was thorough and they even consult with you on their observations and recommendations during and after the work as needed. Investing in a proper inspection from a locally owned company and an owner who clearly knows their stuff is worth every penny. Unlike the other chimney companies I have dealt with, who lured me in with lower inspection rates only to spring literally thousands of dollars on unnecessary repair costs on me, this company's owner is incredibly detail-oriented, and, most importantly, trustworthy. I bought a Groupon for this company for chimney cleaning, which turned out to be a total scam! I called them to book a chimney cleaning which they offered to do so in a few days, but when I said I had a Groupon, they said they won't except Groupon till 2024 & none of that was stated in the Groupon! The fact that they know people need to get chimney cleaned in the fall, and they refuse to let people redeem their Goupons till next year is really despicable! I sent out a request for a quote via Yelp on a Saturday and Monday, they sent me a quote for $150 for an inspection and cleaning or $200 if we have an insert. Our fireplace has an old insert, so our quote was $200. They gave me their cell number in their Yelp response and I texted back and booked my appointment for that same Thursday in a 12-4 window. They do offer Saturday appointments for an extra $25 to cover their technician's overtime who normally work M-F 40 hours per week, which I think is a pretty good option if I couldn't have taken time off during the week. That Thursday, I got a call from the technician saying he was on his way. Fifteen minutes later, he showed up at 2:30 and was very polite and neat. He was also friendly and accommodating to my dog who thought the technician was her new best friend. Around 45 minutes later, our fireplace and chimney were clean and he gave me the 411 on my fireplace, chimney and insert. I owed $200 as quoted and they accept checks, cash or credit cards. No Venmo or paypal. According to the inspection, my chimney was in decent shape but it was missing a few things. He also warned me that our insert was missing some key safety components and could be a fire hazard and why. This was important information we never knew about which gave us good food for thought. Now knowing the concerns, we may never use the insert again or have it removed completely so we can use our fireplace safely. The technician gave us quotes for some of the items he recommended that we need to get our chimney in good shape: 8x17 chimney cap - $95 Crown Repair - $140 Installing a clean out door - $150 Regarding our insert which had bigger problems: repairing door gasket and hinge pin (wouldn't completely solve the safety issues) - $150 Remove and take away insert - $200 This was an easy transaction with good work completed. We just had our chimney cleaned and LAST YEAR we used Integrity. There was a huge pile of soot; it filled the fireplace! Ray asked us when was the last time we had it cleaned. We have ours cleaned every year. They didn't brush the cap clean either. In addition, Integrity staff informed us we would need a new gasket for our door this year. Ray, this year's chimney sweep, said it was fine and there was no need to replace it. We had smoke coming back into our living room last winter because of this. In July I bought a groupon to get my chimney cleaned. It came out to $129.00 for a 5 minute cleaning. I have videos with my ring doorbell showing when he arrived. Started to bring floor cover and his cleaning tools. In 5 minutes he was out. Makes sense with me finding black dirt all over my table by my chimney. I wad left with filth and now have stains on my couch and carpet with their lack of cleaning. I will never use them again. I would give this company a negative score if it was possible. I needed a cap on a chimney that cannot be used. My goal was simply to close it off. The house was built in the early 1890's. The gentleman came to my home, looked at the chimney and advised he didn't have the right size cap. He was going to come back. I specifically asked about the chimney's stability and he advised it was stable. I was concerned about the age. However from the ground level it looked ok. I found out this morning that only the parts you can see from the ground are in good shape. The gentleman did not return and they did not return my follow up call. The outgoing message said something along the line that they were not available for two weeks. I wanted to get the work done sooner and called other companies. Another company came today. They took videos of the chimney and showed them to me. Not only is the chimney not stable it could probably just be pushed off the roof right now. They moved it a bit and the bricks were clearly not attached together I am confused as to why the first person said it was stable and it clearly isn't. Man, I love these guys. To provide some insight, I bought my house in April of 2019. It is a older home that is built in the 60's and I have been doing A LOT of work to it since it was a previous rental. I was really excited because this home had a fireplace. TLDR: my chimney caught on fire because they didn't clean it sufficiently, as confirmed by the fire dept. I purchased the Groupon a few months ago and had trouble getting them to schedule me, as they didn't answer my messages left on their machine. I had to contact Groupon to get them to contact me, which should have been my first clue. A few nights ago we had a fire going and the upstairs started smelling like smoke. I went outside and saw embers coming out of the top, so I called 911. The fire dept came out and confirmed that our chimney had not been cleaned sufficiently and whatever buildup they didn't clean was burning. Patrick and Kathy are AWESOME! We found Patrick online to check out our much-used, decades-old chimney for safety. We wanted a chimney sweep, and ended up with a new, EPA-approved fireplace insert, installed to insulate from previous downdrafts of air, a free dryer vent check, and an install of our recently purchased dishwasher replacement. (Luckily, Patrick's assistant, Allen Davis, has his own handyman business and was happy to install the dishwasher. Allen did a great job, even returning on his own time for a creative workaround necessitated by the original dishwasher.) Our home is old, and both the dishwasher and fireplace insert brought other problems to light. Both men went far above and beyond, with very decent, fair pricing and multiple visits, even on New Year's Day by Patrick's own offer. I had very high hopes after reading the other reviews. Unfortunately we feel we had poor customer service and an unsatisfactory outcome. Our fireplace burned smoky when we used it so needed it checked out. Our 1st appointment was for a Thursday between 12 and 4 pm. At 4:20 pm the tech called and said he was running late and could be there about 6:30ish. We already had plans so we rescheduled for Friday morning at 8:00am. So at 8:30 Friday morning the tech calls and says he's running late and hoped to be there in an hour or two. I told him I'd call the office to reschedule again. So we rescheduled again for the Tuesday after Christmas. Long story short....the tech came, cleaned the fireplace, checked the chimney and said all was good.
