The problem is never fixed and they want more money but will discount the money that they already forced out of you. Dishonesty and misdirection is their main service. My home is still under builder warranty and I just needed someone for second opinion. Mark promised me free inspection. I specifically told him not to fix anything but just give me a quote and problem list with my gas fireplace. Sends a technician that has no certification or skills, talks over the phone walking the technician in Arabic. The technician tells me he fixed it, charges me $480, later to realize that the actual charge is $250. Fun part, he will only accept direct transfer via Venmo only for payment! Next time we use the fireplace, same problem. Mark tells me, upon contacting him, that there is another possible problem. But since I am a returning customer, instead of charging me $1200 to fix it, he will charge me only $780, and discount me another $250 that I already paid. Stay away from this company. They live up to their name!…read more I first had them out two years ago to clean my chimney before converting my fireplace to gas and they did a wonderful job. The technician recommended that I get the dryer vent cleaned next, which I delayed on due to other things that were needed. Last week I finally got around to scheduling the dryer vent cleaning, which was today. I was incredibly surprised when Allen showed up and after locating the vent outside, told me I didn't need it cleaned due to the short distance of the vent to the outside. How refreshing to deal with a company with such integrity. That's what I call living up to their name! Regarding the fireplace cleaning they previously did, their workmanship was great. The technician (Troy) cleaned up well when he finished and their prices are the best I found. I highly recommend them!

Our fireplace has an old insert, so our quote was $200. They gave me their cell number in their Yelp response and I texted back and booked my appointment for that same Thursday in a 12-4 window. They do offer Saturday appointments for an extra $25 to cover their technician's overtime who normally work M-F 40 hours per week, which I think is a pretty good option if I couldn't have taken time off during the week. That Thursday, I got a call from the technician saying he was on his way. Fifteen minutes later, he showed up at 2:30 and was very polite and neat. He was also friendly and accommodating to my dog who thought the technician was her new best friend. Around 45 minutes later, our fireplace and chimney were clean and he gave me the 411 on my fireplace, chimney and insert. I owed $200 as quoted and they accept checks, cash or credit cards. No Venmo or paypal. According to the inspection, my chimney was in decent shape but it was missing a few things. He also warned me that our insert was missing some key safety components and could be a fire hazard and why. This was important information we never knew about which gave us good food for thought. Now knowing the concerns, we may never use the insert again or have it removed completely so we can use our fireplace safely. The technician gave us quotes for some of the items he recommended that we need to get our chimney in good shape: 8x17 chimney cap - $95 Crown Repair - $140 Installing a clean out door - $150 Regarding our insert which had bigger problems: repairing door gasket and hinge pin (wouldn't completely solve the safety issues) - $150 Remove and take away insert - $200 This was an easy transaction with good work completed. We were dealing with a leak at our fireplace chase and cap, and unlike the other companies we contacted, Michael actually went up on our two-story roof to assess the issue firsthand. Others didn't even bother to get on the roof. He thoroughly checked our cap and flashing, confirmed what was in good shape, and clearly explained what was needed to be fixed. We also had an added complication--our solar panels run right to the edge of the fireplace. Several companies refused to even consider the job unless we removed multiple panels (and none had even gone on the roof to look). Michael said it wasn't a problem, brought out scaffolding, and handled the job safely without requiring any panel removal. Within a week, he had a new chase manufactured and professionally installed. The craftsmanship, communication, and overall service were outstanding. Francisco was able to squeeze in an appointment the following day and gave me a reasonable estimate for the work. Long story short, he discovered that the problem was more than what was mentioned beforehand and involved dead rodents that somehow made it into the flue (stuck somewhere in the middle), probably made their way in through the said tree. The technician arrived and I told him that based on my diagnostics the unit needed a new auger motor. The unit was already open for him and he unplugged it and plugged it back in. The unit started but did not drop pellets. He asked the age of the unit and when I told him it was about 20 years old he immediately told me that it was too old to repair and parts were no longer available. I had new parts put in the previous year! He called his boss and told him how old the unit was and he too said it was too old. The technician then asked me if the unit was natural gas or propane! I knew at that point that he knew nothing about pellet stoves! I paid the $195 service charge which also included a $12.16 service charge on the service charge! The next day I went to use my credit card and it was declined due to some suspicious charges on the card, including charges made in Dubai! Coincidence? I don't know...but highly suspicious.
