The house is 100 years old and the prior occupant hadn't cleaned the chimney in a long time. Joe was able to come out very shortly after I called, and when he came out he was able to diagnosis a few fairly significant issues that needed to be addressed. He then put together a very competitive estimate on the spot. Joe and one of his guys came out the next week and took care of everything. They were very efficient, tidy, and communicative, and the work product is excellent. There were some hiccups throughout the day that were not Joe's fault, and he just rolled with them, found solutions, and executed with barely any delay. And as I wrote in my last review, he is an incredibly nice and friendly guy. He's also very honest, straightforward, and open. I completely trust him and highly recommend him to anybody needing chimney and fireplace work.

My home is still under builder warranty and I just needed someone for second opinion. Mark promised me free inspection. I specifically told him not to fix anything but just give me a quote and problem list with my gas fireplace. Sends a technician that has no certification or skills, talks over the phone walking the technician in Arabic. The technician tells me he fixed it, charges me $480, later to realize that the actual charge is $250. Fun part, he will only accept direct transfer via Venmo only for payment! Next time we use the fireplace, same problem. Mark tells me, upon contacting him, that there is another possible problem. But since I am a returning customer, instead of charging me $1200 to fix it, he will charge me only $780, and discount me another $250 that I already paid. Stay away from this company. Pacific Air Duct, LLC came to my house and completely wrapped the torn air ducts for part of my house. It cost me $6,000. Then, I called them back to show them that I was still experiencing low air flow in the above mentioned rooms. Jessie, the owner, told me that I would have to pay another $4,500 to get the vents in the rooms to have sufficient air flow. I couldn't believe that no one had mentioned this to me while their crew was here cleaning out all the vents in my house. Needless to say, I was so astounded and angry about his revelation after spending the $6,000. Obviously, I didn't go through with the additional "worK" I am a senior female and I live alone, so I feel like they took advantage of me. If you have a friend or partner who can go into the attic to check out the proposed repairs and what the cost is going to be to accomplish this, that would be my advice to you. UPDATE -- We got our new HVAC installed by Joseph!!!…read more Backstory: We are so incredibly happy that we met Joseph for our HVAC needs. Our HVAC system was 19yo and completely shot since we moved into our house in May 2021. We first reached out to Joseph in June when we couldn't stand the summer heat. He told us that a complete replacement would be necessary (which we had already suspected and wanted) so that all made sense. He walked us through in detail about our current system, what parts are malfunctioning, and why a complete upgrade makes the most sense financially. He also showed us pictures of our attic and the old ductwork that was torn apart and needed to be replaced. Joseph was so professional and thoughtful throughout that entire process and first time meeting. The project estimate was completely reasonable considering he would be replacing our furnace and AC unit, enlarging the air return vent, upgrading all duct work in the attic, and installing an indoor air quality filter. After some discussion, we decided that we wanted to be able to fund the replacement completely and told him that we'll be in touch when we were ready to move forward. Fast forward to December 2021 when we finally saved up enough money. By this time, we weren't sweating from the summer heat but freezing our butts off from the winter cold! It was consistently around 50deg in our house and practically called Joseph in tears, happy and relieved that we can move forward with the installation! He came to re-inspect all of our equipment and re-quoted us based on updated costs (which we 100% expected because of the current supply issues). He also walked us through rebate options to help save money. His team came out the following week and completed the entire project in 1 day. They protected all the floors and themselves, were super friendly and professional, and completed the installation despite running into a few tricky spots. Joseph taught us how to efficiently heat our home and the ins and outs of easy maintenance. We literally celebrated that night turning the heater on and experienced actual comfort in our own home for the first time this year. I cannot recommend Joseph enough for his professionalism, value, and overall excellent customer experience. We look forward to having him back to maintain our new HVAC system for years to come :)

They gave me a 12pm-3pm window and the tech arrived a little after 12 so it was nice nit having to wait so long. He was very nice and explained everything as he was inspecting and allowed me to ask any questions. Turns out my fireplace is in great shape, was rarely used by the previous owner, and is easy to clean myself. So rather than pushing me to have him clean it, he simply charged the inspection fee. It had been a hot day and we noticed the A/C fan in their house was blowing loudly but it was sweltering inside. Took a peek at their thermostat, which read 77 but felt more like a 87 in our house. Temp was set for 72, but was not cooling. We commented that their A/C didn't seem to be working. Father-in-law said he would call one of the companies that sent an ad in the mail for "$49 A/C Tune-Up." We told him it'd definitely cost more than $49 to fix the issue, and that was just a ploy to get customers to call them and upcharge. I told them we'd contact the company that has helped my parents in the past. So I quickly logged on to Yelp to find the company. They were pretty quick to respond in the past, so I figured they would call the next day and set up an appt. I sent a message to them and was very surprised when I got a message back from them in minutes! Gave them a call and Vince told me he actually had a guy finishing up a project in our area. I was shocked because it was almost 8pm! He said they had two shifts for their company, since people are having A/C issues around the clock. Long story short, Brian showed up around 10-15 minutes after I got off the phone with Vince. I was kinda in disbelief about how fast everything had happened. We definitely didn't think we'd find a company who could make it out to their house while we were still there! Brian diagnosed the problem as the unit lacking refrigerant. Added 2 lbs of R22 and pretty soon we could feel cool air circulating through the house. Throughout the night, Vince kept in constant communication with us and had a fantastic sense of humor. When I told him the A/C was working now, he sent a Carlton dance gif, lol. After Brian left, Vince sent me an invoice. When I saw it, I thought, "Oh interesting, they changed their logo." A few minutes later, I realized I had actually messaged a different company on Yelp than I had intended. The companies' names are practically identical, except the other one had the word "plumbing" in it, lol. I told Vince of the mistake and we kinda laughed about it. He said, "We were meant to be!!!!" :) I was able to pay via Venmo and Vince was able to give my in-laws a senior discount. It was not cheap, but based on how quickly they were able to fix the issue, the convenience was worth it. Highly recommend this company and they will be our go-to in the future for HVAC repairs.
