In the end 'looked good' but after inspection clear issues with 'directional flow' entering room/space (horizontal -vs vertical),,  What's worse we learned engineered wood (unlike laminate) comes in variations some look good natural  - but others [dark knotted sections in Trees appear like [ stains- dog poo- bear-like claws! ] So we decided Not hire them back, we posted to Floor repair comp on Yelp,  and Shims Remodeling replied too.  Andre stopped by immediately noticed issues "flow- got aesthetic issues (could've placed rotten boards in closets, hidden areas etc)- patterns etc;  basically things we questioned Thumbtack Installers, but told "You guys being picky" to later admit errors when wanted more work.  Yet Shim's who's stated is licensed- member of national Association- annual trainings, explains (will school you ha-ha) pros- cons, saw & understood the concerns Anyhoo last Saturday he arrived, carefully removed 2 boards (skill). when done texted photos of really good Job almost can't tell what was done. . as amazing Andre said he'd do free sample, we didn't think so, but he did & locked up as requested. After this experience & alot money spent on this project, gesture was awesome. The front of the show room boasts a beautiful island, kitchen cabinets, and an oven range to die for. It's a great spot for mingling and enjoying examples of what Liam Brex has to offer. In the back is another kitchen set up with yet another gorgeous island, oven range, built in drawers, and surprise refrigerators. I loved the wine cellar cabinet and fridge space in the island! I have to say, it's pretty genius to utilize their space after hours for local events. Not only is it the perfect place for gathering , cooking, or baking, but a wonderful opportunity for Liam Brex to introduce their work. I've lived in Naperville most of my life and had no idea this was here despite them being founded back in 2007. I know down the line a kitchen and bath remodel will be in our future, so I will for sure be keeping this business in mind for guidance.

The more difficult (at least I thought it would be) was to regrout the countertops that were bordering the wall. They had become gross and couldn't be cleaned anymore because the dirt was like stuck underneath so he pulled them all up and regrouted in like 10 minutes. Then he noticed that inside our sink some of the group was coming up as well. He didn't even charge us extra and replaced that in like 2 minutes. Everything was done outstandingly and we will definitely be using them again.

Not measured correctly, had to add extra trim to cover their mistake on our large backsplash slab. Then the measurement person said it was because we were doing a replacement and measurements can be off. The seams are huge and visible and couldn't be adjusted after being placed, I noticed 1 corner wasn't finished and they had to adjust it on site . 9 months later and we have discoloration on multiple edges despite sealing it. I've asked for help and they said this isn't covered under the warranty. I'm looking at costly repairs or replacement on something I waited 15 years to change out. They did do a good job on my quartz remnant for my bathroom vanity but I had to really convince of them if the placement of the sinks as it's off set from what is usual. I would not use them again and it's a shame. Deb was great to work with and is a huge asset to them.
