Located across the street from Roberts Plaza in North Madison, near the North Madison circle. They have little prizes for the kids when they are completed their exams. Also a kiddie corner with Legos and toys when in the waiting room. He is excellent with the kids and talks with them to make them feel comfortable. He is a great dentist for people of all ages and their staff is absolutely amazing, so friendly. Today I had this incident where I chipped my tooth on a metal bike rack and it was so painful. (Sunday) office was closed and near dinner time 5pm. He took my emergency call and met me in the office. The procedure was to bond the tooth back together and had me all fixed up, in less than an hour. I feel so grateful and blessed to have a compassionate dentist like Dr Callis. We will definitely continue with his office for years to come. I would recommend his office to anyone looking for a reliable, friendly, clean, and trustworthy dentist.

The name of my most capable hygienist is Sandi, not Cindy. Unkowingly I have been call her by the wrong name all these years. Sandi is very dexterous and thorough in cleaning my teeth. She is so experienced that she knows all about my teeth in and out. I know that I am in good hands caring for my teeth. You must ask for Sandi if you need to clean your teeth. As for Dr. Wasserlauf, I just had a tooth implant, for the first time under his care. He was amazing! While he was working on my tooth, I did not feel what was going on in my mouth. He prescribed pain medicine for me but I did not need it since there was no pain in my mouth after the surgery. Dr. Wasserlauf restored all my teeth to good condition that were very badly looked after by a dentist when I lived in Hong Kong. Without Dr' Wasserlauf's care I would have been wearing dentures at a young age. Dr. Wasserlauf is capable, conscientious and caring beyond monetary gain. Do not hesitate to visit Dr. Wasserlauf and/or Sandi for dental care. They are the best!

MONEY HUNGRY PRACTICE! DO NOT BOOK AN APPOINTMENT!…read more I specifically did my research & found a provider who participated in my insurance. I proactively sent my most recent dental x-rays over prior to my appointment, although the appointment I booked was for my annual dental cleaning. At the time of my appointment I was handed forms to fill out, one of them being a "$35 Oral Cancer Screening". During my appointment the Dentist looked over my recent x-rays and proceeded to order a full mouth set of x-rays. One would think a professional practice would check with a patient's insurance carrier to see if a complete imaging procedure would be covered or confirm whether the insurance carrier will allow it for the 2026 year- NOPE. The dental assistant who performed my cleaning then asked if I'd be interested in the oral cancer screening (you'd think this would be covered under a routine dental screening- not according to this practice.) They push it as if it's their monthly special. After my appointment I headed to the front desk where the receptionist quoted me $226.40 for a treatment plan. In the treatment plan the total fee equated to $680. The "estimated insurance coverage" was $453.60. I spoke with my insurance carrier after the visit to confirm coverage. 80% of each treatment code listed would be covered and I would be responsible for paying the remaining 20%. One code was not covered in its entirety but the office did not inform me- instead I was merely handed a treatment plan with an expectation that I would pay $226.40. Fast forward to a month or so later- I received a bill from Lighthouse Dental in the amount of $310, for what you may ask? The panoramic x-rays that were done without checking my insurance coverage. I received a call from Lighthouse Dental and I asked the receptionist "if I provided my most recent x-rays prior to my visit why were additional x-rays done?" She replied "all new patients need full x-rays." I questioned why the practice didn't check my insurance coverage or contact my previous Dentist for my last full x-rays if it was needed. She then said "well on the bright side you won't have to get it done again for 5 years" EXCUSE ME? To top it off, after speaking with the receptionist I asked to speak with an office manager- who took two weeks to return my call. I refuse to pay $310 due to Lighthouse Dental's negligence. The carelessness of this practice is appalling.
