Dr Kern is the best dentist I have ever had! I have never felt any pain and she always explains things in terms that any patient could understand. She always asks how I am doing and remembers updates from 6 months prior. Elizabeth is the best hygienist! It's the little things like remembering the water setting that are most comfortable during my cleanings. 10/10 would recommend!

On top of that, they've failed to send reminders or notifications for appointments more than once, which led to missed appointments--and then they charged me cancellation fees. The front desk staff is often rude and unhelpful, which just makes a frustrating situation worse. Even routine cleanings have been incredibly painful--unlike anything I've experienced at any other dental office. I genuinely tried to give this place a fair chance, but the constant scheduling mistakes, lack of communication, unprofessional attitude, and overall disorganization make it really hard to justify staying. In 2024, (both family members) daughter and mother had attended a scheduled appointment. They had waited for more than an hour to be called. Mother had noticed that they took in EVERYONE before them. Nobody even came by to check on them and let them know they would be dealt with soon. Horrible, horrible, patient care skills. They took in a patient who was being rude. He was insisting that he needed to be taken in as if he was the only patient there. And believe it or not, they took him in! They had decided to walk out after waiting that full hour. During my life, I've been exposed to a lot of radiation. I've had interventional fluoroscopy and CT…read morescans performed multiple times. Because of this, I try to limit non-essential radiation exposure. I went to Lumos to get my teeth cleaned. The dentist told me that I needed to get an x-ray first, which I declined. Then, she didn't ask why I declined, she didn't ask whether my family has a history of radiation-associated leukemias, she didn't ask whether I was on immunosuppressive medicines that could make me more vulnerable to radiation. The dentist didn't ask me anything. She rudely told me that I shouldn't come to Lumos. The entire process felt disrespectful and dehumanizing. I would recommend against coming here.

I got multiple fillings from him two years ago on the left side of my mouth and they are STILL sensitive. I learned my lesson early, switched to another dentist to do fillings on the right side and what do you know, the other dentist's work is just fine. Not only are my fillings by Dr. T terrible, he also took unusual breaks during the procedure, leaving me to sit there waiting with chunks of multiple teeth drilled out. I went to the bathroom during his break once and saw my teeth without the fillings -- horrifying. No one should ever have to see their own mouth like that. And lastly, I requested that my records and x-rays be sent from his office to my current dentist THREE times over the course of a week, once during my first appointment with my new dentist because they still hadn't sent them after asking twice. As a result, I had to get all new x-rays that my insurance wouldn't cover. That's money lost because of his negligent staff. So in case I haven't warned you enough, please please do not go to this place. You can find much better. I know I did.

He and his staff were gentle and patient, which is so key to any dental experience- especially when you are in pain! I needed an extraction and he referred me immediately to a surgeon who saw me right away. The tooth is out! And the best news is that Dr. Quigley is setting up a treatment plan for my ongoing dental issues - not just telling me to come back in six months. I have had teeth pulled before, never hurt this much AFTER. When I show up to their office the next time they're supposed to be open, they're not, and a bunch of people outside the door waiting. One I spoke to was back there for something similar to me, having had work done days before and is now in pain. The only decent thing I can say is that they accept HUSKY insurance.
