I found Dr. Lerch because one of my side veneers fell out while I was flossing. I soon messaged two…read moredifferent offices. The contrast in responses told me everything I needed to know. Dr. Lerch personally responded the same night after hours (while the competing office got back to me the following morning, asked all the same questions I had already answered in their online intake form, and then recommended I schedule an appointment in two weeks). She messaged to let me know they consider this an emergency and would prioritize it (it's very painful and hot/cold sensitive to have an exposed tooth with veneer missing). I was in her chair getting the veneer reattached the following day. Altogether it took less than 30 minutes. Admittedly, I came to Dr. Lerch's office with some quiet distrust of dental offices in general. However, I have since found that I can completely trust Dr. Lerch's office with the full scope of my dental care, and so I also recently decided to move forward with a lingual frenectomy that had been impacting my speech for decades but I kept avoiding. The procedure took minutes and was entirely painless. Lastly I'll add that what makes this place truly exceptional is that Dr. Lerch's care and standards are not limited to her. Every person I have spoken to in the office shares the same qualities, whether Robby, Rahisha, Karen, or anyone else. It's clear that Dr. Lerch's values shape who she hires, and it shows in every interaction. I am glad I found her office.

Everyone was great, knowledgeable and made me feel welcomed. I will return for all my dental needs!!!

I've been going here for over a decade. Front desk can be a little rough around the edges. It's…read moregotten a little better given a lot of the forms are online and there is less interaction. The hygienists are for sure kind and attentive. Drs spend 2 -5 minutes with patients. Last visit was super shady. First, I filled out the paperwork with medical information - totally appropriate for 6 month visit. None of my information has changed. AND THEN I was told I was required to complete an identical medical survey for a private company to access medical records that sold products for sleep apnea. I was told patients could leave the office without completing it by the front desk- totally unethical- there should have a been a disclosure form available around transparency and consent. As a medical provider, I was disgusted by their ruse and will not be returning. The overall care is adequate, but administrative practices are suspect.

I really wouldn't recommend New Haven Dental Group. I've had multiple appointments where either the…read morewrong dentist was scheduled or I ended up waiting over an hour past my scheduled time. On top of that, they've failed to send reminders or notifications for appointments more than once, which led to missed appointments--and then they charged me cancellation fees. The front desk staff is often rude and unhelpful, which just makes a frustrating situation worse. Even routine cleanings have been incredibly painful--unlike anything I've experienced at any other dental office. I genuinely tried to give this place a fair chance, but the constant scheduling mistakes, lack of communication, unprofessional attitude, and overall disorganization make it really hard to justify staying. It's been a consistently bad experience from start to finish.

My experience with this dentist was one of the worst in my life. Last year, I began feeling a…read morestrange sensation in one of my back molars. Concerned, I booked an emergency appointment (which was incredibly expensive) with Dr. Adrienne Tartagni the following day. The appointment seemed routine; they took X-rays, which I didn't expect to reveal anything alarming since I had seen my own dentist back in my home state less than two months prior for an exam and cleaning, as I don't reside permanently in CT. After reviewing the X-rays, Dr. Tartagni performed a hot and cold test on my tooth and abruptly informed me that I needed a root canal. I was surprised because I didn't feel much during the test and mentioned this to her. Looking back, it seemed like she was either guessing or pushing for unnecessary treatment. After being told I needed a root canal, I was taken to the financial office and given an exorbitant out-of-pocket estimate. The news was especially stressful since I am a college student and my dental coverage is in my home state. Ultimately, I sought a second opinion from my dentist back home, who promptly reassured me that my tooth was perfectly fine and that I had narrowly avoided being taken advantage of. Multiple X-rays confirmed this, and other dentists agreed that no treatment was necessary. This happened about a year ago, and today, my tooth feels completely normal and the strange sensation has disappeared. It even felt better a couple of days after the visit, despite the lady working in the financial office saying that the "pain would likely just get worse" if I didn't go through with the procedure. My dentist back in my home state confirmed it was just sensitivity, which I'm confident he was correct about. I believe Dr. Tartagni and her office should feel ashamed for causing such unnecessary stress. While I understand that medical professionals can make mistakes, the entire experience was incredibly frustrating. I often reflect on how fortunate I was to have questioned whether the procedure was truly necessary, especially considering the invasiveness of a root canal. This situation has left me wondering how many others may have been similarly affected by their practices. If faced with a recommendation for an invasive procedure by this office and you're unsure of its necessity, I strongly urge seeking a second opinion.

They managed to fit me in and I felt like a treasured guest there, even though I won't be able to see them regularly. The office is super clean, runs smoothly, and everyone there was so kind, to me and to each other. They took x-rays to confirm the break, and the dentist polished down the tooth to make me more comfortable until I can see an endodontist. I am so grateful... I only wish I lived closer so I could see them again!
