Cleanliness? 10/10. Price? 10/10. Service? 10/10. Ambiance? 10/10. I've had a membership here for YEARS. Front desk staff will give you a THOROUGH breakdown of what to expect and what you have at your disposal. It's reasonably priced and they make sure you are attended to ASAP. They want you to have a relaxing experience and the room you get to yourself makes it happen. There's a lovely tea room for when you're done with your float therapy to chill in and color. :) You won't regret going. Don't believe me? Read the PAGES of reviews written by people in the tea room. Pages upon pages of people before and after floating. It allows your mind to calm and process. read more

Great experience overall. Minus one star because I really wish there was a toilet in each room. I highly recommend the float room over the pods. I have done both and the room felt much more comfortable overall. The guy who works here is very helpful and knowledgeable so don't be scared to ask questions. If you have never floated before. Be sure to pick a day where you don't have much going on afterward. Your for sure going to want to do your best to come in and dedicate the full time for yourself. Thank you for such a great spot and all of the extra amenities were a great touch! read more

The original and still the best!!! This was actually my first float location back in the day. They have maintained an incredible level of service. I came back to visit since I no longer live in Denver. The place is super clean and they have a great vibe. Luke was awesome in showing us around and getting my friend comfortable as a first timer. Everything about the experience was seamless! If you haven't floated before, I would suggest trying one of their rooms vs a pod. read more

The atmosphere, the staff, and the float cabin all get five stars for me. I love this experience so much. I would go every day if I could. It's so relaxing. read more

Wow. What an experience. First, the service was fantastic: he made me comfortable while informing me on how my 90 minute float would float. Your experience is down in one room - the shower and the tank are all yours. And it's so cool climbing in and feeling your body float for the first time! I was worried 90 minutes would be too long. I think 80minutes may have been perfect for me, but the extra time allowed me to move around, stretch and move around in the tank after an incredibly relaxing experience. Highly highly recommend that you do your first, or next float with Samana! read more

I first heard about float tanks on the "Joe Rogan Podcast" and read how a lot of top ranked athletes use them as well so I figured I'd give it a shot- that was 6 months ago. I go back to Samana once a month now for the 90 minutes of pure relaxation with no distractions. I highly recommend getting an appointment a few days in advance as it seems slots get filled quickly. They have a pod tank and then 3 large cabins. I prefer the pod but If you think you'll get claustrophobic in the pod, try the cabin you can stand up in there if you need to. The staff is super friendly and it is super clean. At the end you can sit down for a tea or water and try the color therapy glasses. Get a membership for discounted rates. They have two marked parking spots on the side of the building but I never have a hard time finding free street parking a block or two away. I truly love Samana Float Center. read more

My friend has been begging me to try floating for months now. I found a groupon and decided to finally check it out. The entrance was a little hard to find at first (in between Il Posto and First Draft) but the building is clean and nice inside. The girl working the front desk was super nice, personable, and explained the process in depth. I love that they have containers and solution for contact wearers, pretty decent shampoo and conditioner for post-float and a cute little lounge area with water and tea if you're waiting for a friend or just need to detox after your detox. There are four private float rooms, two in the mezzanine and two on the first floor. They are each set with a small table to put your things, a shower, and a private entrance to your tub (which has a door, and is not a pod). The music and the lighting can be easily turned on and off from inside the tub and though the area looked small, I was able to stretch out and also not feel so claustrophobic with the tall height of the chamber. The only issue is, with the music off I could hear noises from the neighboring establishments, and some conversations at the front desk (in mezzanine room 4). While floating is not my jam, this is a great place to go with reasonable prices for memberships or single floats and I would recommend this location to anyone looking for a clean, cozy environment to relax. read more

Float therapy is something I do on a regular basis for my body and mind wellness. Samana has a very friendly staff. I prefer to have a pod, this location only has 1 pod. Make sure to request room 2 to get the pod. After your float they have a very relaxing area to hang out and have refreshments to sip on. read more

This was such a neat experience. First time floating. I meditate often so it wasn't much of a shocking experience. Though I still struggled to quiet the mind and thoughts. But once I was in, I went drop into meditation and it felt so powerful. Getting out, showering and adjusting to outer world was a bit to an adjustment. I was in a trance like state :) FLOW STATE read more

I've floated at several places all around the US and have been floating for about 7 years now off and on. This is a top notch place and has a peaceful vibe. There's beautiful art decorating the interior and it has a pleasant spa setting. To get here you have to walk past a brewery and into a nicely lit hallway decorated with great black and white photos. At the end of the hall you will find your next adventure in relaxation! They have competitive prices also and even a membership. Highly recommended! read more

I really love dark and quiet places so I did my first float for my birthday! Even though I like small/silent/dark, I was a little nervous about feeling too closed in. This wasn't the case at all. They have one a float "pod" and then the slightly more spacious cabins, but when I called they told me it's the same exerpeince. The mood of the places was very quiet. They have a lounge for pre or post float time with coloring books and other things, plus a pretty butterfly mural on the wall. I booked one of the cabins on the second level. The room has a nice shower, but no curtain so water definitely got everywhere. The "cabin" is kind of like a bathtub room. I'm 5'7'' and I could stretch my arms over my head without running out of space. It's not totally soundproof and even with the ear plugs, I could still hear sounds from the room next to me and possibly downstairs too. If it was truly silent, this would have been 5 stars. They've thought of everything here. They give you a halo which you can put under your head for extra comfort like a pillow, but I felt like I didn't need it. They also provide ear plugs, vaseline to cover any cuts (salt stings!), and qtips with vinegar to clean your ears out. The float itself was magical and relaxing. The 90 minutes flew by! read more

I have back injuries and my awesome massage therapist Peter Berv gave me a gift card for Samana Float Center and told me that floating will help with my back pain and I should try. I have never heard of Floating until than. I was excited to try something new and hoping it would help. I walked in Samana first thing on Monday morning to give it a try. Julie welcomed me with a big smile, she was very friendly explained the entire process. Clean environment, suite/pod was clean, towels were fresh, not stale smelling. Toiletries were great, nice herbal scent, the water was warm, the silence a welcomed relief from city noise and strife. I believe the salt water will be salutary for mind as well as body. I do believe I'm already hooked:) The lounge area was very comfortable Overall experience was fantastic.... pure relaxation!!! Would definitely recommend to others. read more

Today was the second time I've floated in the month. I floated once before I hosted Thanksgiving dinner and today, right before heading to the airport to go home for the holidays. Both experiences have left me in a state that focuses my attention while leaving me the most relaxed I've ever been. I have a lower back and hip injury that constantly get aggregated if I'm on my feet for too long or sitting down for too long. Floating is the only experience where your mind and body has no pressure being forced upon it which leaves your body feeling reborn and your mind getting a full reset. It's hard to put into words because there's nothing else like it. Massages and being aligned by a chiropractor are ok compared to floating. If you don't think you can do 90 minutes you can get out whenever you'd like. I like to practice meditative breathing to help zone in and find a good state of mind. The staff is extremely helpful and willing to answer any and all questions. The art for sale is extremely beautiful and I may have to take one home one day. Sorry for rambling, just go give it a shot! read more

I went on the website for the correct location to make an appointment and it booked for the wrong location despite being careful due to having a coupon that o my worked at one location. I am sure that it was in fact an oversight on my part however it needs to be clarified better if you can accidentally book for another location when going to the website to book for a specific location. When I showed up and let them know I had driven for an hour The owner said In a cold and defensive town that I had simply made a mistake and that they were booked solid. Before I found out I was at the wrong location and I had apologize for being a few minutes late and let them know I had tried to call over and over on my way there and left a voicemail to apologize and give them the information of my 10 minute delay. After she chastise me for making a mistake on the website and telling me there's nothing she could do for me since they're booked solid she went out of her way to check her phone and said that my phone number was not showing up on her call record at all much less any voicemail. She again told me that it must've been my error and that I must've called the wrong place; so I opened The page I had used to call and saw that it was in fact a correct locations. So I held up my phone out to her to show her that I wasn't in fact on the page for her location and using her number. Hi didn't even say a word because she had been so cold and rude, I just showed her that I had been calling the right location. She exploded and went from cold to hostile and started yelling at me telling me that I was being rude and 'treating her like she was a complete imbecile', her words not mine. I lost my patience with her and told her that in fact she had been condescending and rude to me the entire time not the other way around. Was I upset to drive an hour one way and not get the testament. Obviously. Passing on her she should have spoken to me tightly and apologize for the inconvenience as abare minimum for passing customer service. She did not do that and then became hostile when I held up evidence that there was some thing in her system that wasn't working. I know that phone systems mess up and I was just trying to get her to stop attacking me and telling me that I was the one who had fucked up the entire situation. Again let me reiterate I said nothing to her and simply showed her that my phone had her location and phone number up in my phone at which point she began yelling at me. When I returned the raised voice she kicked me out. ONLY THEN did she mention that she was going to have given me a free float to compensate me for the long drive without a session. If she had intended to give me a free float for my time why did she wait until she had Baited me into getting upset with her back? Obviously she didn't. Good customer service would lead a receptionist much less the owner to show kindness and understanding for the error that took place on the confusing website and offer a free session rather than spend so much time trying to prove that they had made no mistakes and that it was all the customers fault. I gave her feedback about her website and she could not handle that without feeling like I was telling her she was an imbecile. Again her words not mine. She took it as a personal attack and handled in an extremely unprofessional way. Avoid them at all cost until they handle their tech issues that block them from receiving five phone calls and a voicemail for me. If you really need a soak be aware that the website For one location can easily schedule you for a an entirely different location more than an hour away. read more

Update 6.25.2020 So I got a call from the Owner Heather who was very apologetic that I got missed in their notifications. She offered to reschedule me as well as provide some freebies. Just wanting to try it to see if I enjoyed it, I declined the freebies and just rescheduled a float session for the Ft. Collins location. I didn't want to drive back down to Denver. She and I believe her husband, helped to set up a Ft. Collins Account and set up my session. Easy to talk to and very accommodating. I'll update a final time once I've actually experienced it. read more

I have only been once, but just scheduled my second session! Great staff answered my questions and had great tips for a newbie. The earplugs worked great, and the makeup remover was very helpful. Definitely don't rub your eyes after you get into the cabin! I accidentally did that and my eyelids started burning, so I jumped out, rinsed my eyes and hands, dried them off, applied the handy petroleum provided in the kit, and got back to relaxation. I highly recommend no lights and no music. read more

This was one of my first stops when arriving to Denver. Floating after travel is a great way to start off a trip! Samana is tucked away and a little difficult to find, but getting there is half the fun ;-) I was greeted by Emily the friendly float facilitator as she checked me in and led me to the zen room to relax before my float. Samana offers Superior float cabins that are very spacious! If you haven't experienced floating before, you're missing out. read more

Just enjoyed my first ever float experience here. The people who own it were more than gracious and walked me through the entire process and gave me some good pointers to make it more enjoyable. The facility is extremely clean and the vibe is very laid back and welcoming. I am claustrophobic, so I asked for a large pod, and I honestly don't think I'd have an issue in a smaller tank next time around. The only thing that I would have to worry about is bumping up against the side in a smaller tank, as I am 6'2". That was not an issue in the large tank once I got settled. The experience itself is like taking a nap in space. Your body relaxes to the point where you cannot draw a distinction between the water and your body (the temp of the water is set to body temp) and you lose all sensory input because of the lack of light and touch. I have bad back pain and I noticed that it decompressed my back as if I had just spent time on an inversion table. Even if you do not know how to meditate, I strongly suggest you stick yourself in one of these tanks and force yourself to be with yourself for an hour and a half. It's a rare and unique experience, and I'm definitely hooked. If you DO meditate, this is like the ultimate experience because you do not face the bodily distractions that you experience trying to relax yourself when you're sitting up (fighting gravity). Thanks for everything! read more

I've floated several times at various places. This experience was my absolute least favorite. The water was way way way too salty. It crusted up on my body while in the tank while I was floating and hardened when I wiped it cut and burnt my skin. I left 30 minutes into a 90 minute session and the person running the desk could have cared less. The ambiance of the place was cute through the website but different IRL. I would say save you $ and find a spa that cares and caters to their clients. Being attentive in these situations is important. It's all about the experience. A float shouldn't irritate the heck out of your skin and it should be an act of Congress to have the person running the place to act like they care or to even know that there is something wrong. read more

I LOVE this float center. My Bf and I have been wanting to float for quite some time and we finally got the chance too. The business is a little hard to find but we made it! The main door is located in a ally type walkway. After entering that door the business was on the left about halfway down the hall. Walking in everything was very calm and visually appealing. A bonus for me I "re-met" someone I went to high school with in Durango CO. I met two of the staff who were kind and courteous. The waiting area is located at the end of the establishment, there is a comfy couch, reading material and a few things too purchase. I'm each room there is a shower to clean yourself before entering the float where soap etc is provided. I had the float room and my Bf had the float pod. Both were awesome! There was a head pillow provided as well as a towel. You could also change the music and lighting to fit your relaxation needs. I will definitely be coming back and recommending this establishment to anyone who wants to float. I am thinking about buying a membership for cheaper floats as well as a cheaper float for a friend! Great business! read more

Sensory deprivation is a vessel that helps you return to being. I don't necessarily think the floating is necessarily a medical cure for anything other than the mental aspect - whether it's pain or lingering sensory problems, which I have had since I can remember. (As a child I wore sweatpants to school, and habitually ripped off the tags of all my clothes so that the fabric was actually torn.) Sensory deprivation both helps you take control of the mental chatter in your head, as well as the sensory overload that we get bombarded with 24/7, which is bad for our health and spiritual wellbeing. I really couldn't ask for a better escape from that than Samana Float Center. The place is clean, and relatively inexpensive compared to other float centers (I think the one in Highlands Ranch is a little cheaper, but honestly who wants to go to Highlands Ranch?) My recommendation to any person considering this: do it three times before you make a judgement. Sometimes it takes a few sessions to get your head in the right place. I don't see floating as "relaxing" so much as a mental tool, and the effects are really what you do with it after the session. My recommendation to Samana: get a Kava bar. Kava+sensory deprivation is a great combination. I love that there is sensory deprivation right by my loft. I've tried twice, and then signed up for a membership. Sometimes it's good to focus on being - I'm reading "How to Change Your Mind" by Michael Pollan, who puts it in pretty good words: often times we're at odds between being and doing. Most people feel they need to DO all the time. read more

Finally got a chance to check out Samana yesterday and my expectations were exceeded in every way. The decor and vibe are both exceptional, and I even got to float in the larger of the two cabins. The service there was great and she explained what to expect from my first float. Best float of my life! I'm a huge fan of floating and my husband surprised me with a 90 minute float for my birthday. He had scheduled for the actual day of my birthday and I had to reschedule because of other plans and Samana was super accommodating and got me in later this week. Luke was super friendly and informative and bonus points for pronouncing my name right. Each tank is in its only little room with a private shower. The music and lights in the tank were easy to control, with giant buttons you can feel, even in the dark. They thought of everything--a little care package with petroleum jelly for any scratches or anything so the salt water wouldn't burn, vinegar to help remove salt afterwards, waxy earplugs and a mint! The tank was spacious and i didn't find myself hitting the sides a lot, like I have in smaller tanks. I fell asleep for the first time ever in a float. Best part? The signal your float is over--"Where is My Mind?" By the Pixies over the speaker. The pricing is super reasonable too. Can't wait to go back--highly recommend. read more

First time visitor and will return! We were welcomed warmly and shown around the beautiful facility. Floating is a unique experience everyone should try! I left feeling relaxed, centered and refreshed. Would have given them 5 stars, however they really need to purchase new towels and washcloths. This place is great. The only reason it's not 5 stars is because they don't offer a 60-minute float. The facility is quiet, clean and comfortable. You can listen to music or concentrate on the silence. The float itself was relaxing until the first hour was up - then I was restless. That's on me, I had a lot on my mind. Samana Float Center is an amazing experience. Julie made me feel very welcome, and was such a delight. From the moment I walked in, I loved the ambiance and how it smelled. This was my first time doing a sensory deprivation float, and I cant wait to go back. I fell asleep for almost the entire session, and stepped out so refreshed. Location isn't everything when it comes to trying to park in the rhino district. With all the construction going on, Samana Float Center did not have its own parking anywhere and street parking was impossible at the time I went. I will be honest. I did not find this experience to be fun and relaxing. Instead, it was a little challenging and very educational. 1. I assumed floating would be comfortable. In fact, it took me a while to find the right position. At times I sat up and even stood up to adjust. 2. It's a bit scary. There's no clock or contact with the world. After awhile I thought "maybe everybody went home." 90 Minutes is a long time. 3. The experience: Imagine you crashed your car in the mountains at night. You went down a ravine. You weren't hurt and you were warm enough. But alone. And quiet. What would you think about? That's what I thought about. 4. 5 stars: Since this morning, I have been changed. I feel a bit like "a survivor." I'm really happy to hear from friends and see my dog. Having some tea feels like a real miracle. I learned a lot. read more

Loved my first float session. I had zero expectations going in. Their studio is very clean and the staff is friendly. 90 minutes is the perfect amount of time. The lights and music is soothing. I had never done a float before, and didn't know what to expect (let's be frank, I assumed it was going to be somewhere between the Lisa Simpson and the Homer Simpson experience). But the large float room was extremely comfortable, everything was very clean, staff were pleasant, and it was something I could definitely see myself doing again- worth treating yourself to! I cannot recommend this experience enough. I've read about the benefits of sensory deprivation for months now, and have been eager to try it out. Samana's website was very informative and welcoming, and the other Yelp reviews were fantastic -- all convinced me to take the plunge at Samana (no pun intended). The owners Paul and Heather are awesome. They were super welcoming when I arrived, and they walk first timers through the facility, preparation, and expectations for the float experience. Their facility is upscale, spa-like, clean, and well-thought out. As others on Yelp have described in excellent detail, you're provided a private, secure float room, with shower and float chamber. The entire world, busy stimuli and stresses all seem to delightfully fade away the moment the pre-float shower starts and the float experience begins. Floating was peaceful, rejuvenating and surreal. We spend 100% of our life feeling at least some force of gravity on us and experiencing stimuli. I guess unless I become an astronaut someday, which I probably won't, this is my best shot at weightlessness. It feels incredible, you just have to experience it. During the float I went in and out of sleep naturally. It's perfectly, 100% quiet and dark in the tank... I felt so delightfully far away from the world in there that I practically forgot about it all. As the 90 minute mark approached, I literally felt like I was in there for 4-5 hours. Yet I wasn't bored all that time - the sense of time just faded away for me. I felt like I was transported to some other dimension, it is so, so cool. I can't recommend this experience enough. I was just visiting Denver - if I did, I'd return to Samana as a regular for sure. Paul and Heather provide an awesome experience, and I wish them nothing but the best with their business. read more

I feel transported to another world as I shut the door to begin my floating experience - and I don't take anything with me. It feels wonderfully vulnerable, empowering, and meditative.
