So I called a friend who suggested I see Jordan. After seeing what happened she was able to fix the hair cut. Easy Peasy. Ever since that she is the only stylist I will go see. I know she does a great job because when I ever I try to sneak in for an appointment I have to wait a day to two to get in. As a guy I feel very confident see can cut the hair the way you need/want it done. And for me, I ALWAYS get a great cut.

I loved their new client form where it asked what I was looking for, what my budget was and to attach some pictures of my hair currently and what I wanted to accomplish. Based off my answers, they paired me with Layla. Layla was so sweet and really cared about what I wanted. She walked me through her thought process and answered any questions I had. They made me a latte, brought over a desk so I could work while I was there, and gave me a welcome gift. I absolutely loved how my hair color and cut turned out! I will definitely be back and am so happy I decided to try them out :)

After I walked in I was promptly greeted by my stylist Amanda and was asked if I wanted a coffee, water or a snack. Once I was settled comfortably in the chair Amanda listened to what I wanted and made suggestions that would compliment the look I was going for. I ran across SenKay Hair which is located in a Salon Suite with 30 plus other salons across from the Arboretem on Providence. The owner Yesenia is a one woman show and she is amazing. My first visit I didn't get what I came for and I was a tad bit hurt, however she is a professional and I respect her input. I did the BIG CHOP back in December of 2012 and had been flying home to my stylist in Chicago to get sew-in's (protective style) until my hair reached a certain length. Yesenia saw my hair fresh out of a sew-in three days prior to my arrival and she suggested a shape up as oppose to what I came for which was a color. She wanted my hair to be cut even and breath for a while before adding color which made sense so I appreciated her input once I left and got so many compliments on my High Top Fade (Sorta - more light a light bulb cut to ensure my hair grows out the way I intend it to grow = LARGE up top and tappered around the sides and back. Yesenia told me to let my hair breath and come back in two weeks for a color which actually worked out perfectly because it was Mother's Day Weekend and I wanted something different for Mother's Day My second and most recent visit I returned to Yesenia the Wednesday before Mother's Day which was 10days after my cut and she worked her hands through my tresses and noticed the growth and shine and was happy to provide me with color. She says, "I messaged you back asking you to come at 2 instead, is that okay?" I'm thinking, messaged me back where? Your website doesn't give us an inbox and I didn't get a text or email. But I don't like being difficult and assumed there was a misunderstanding... maybe she thought I was one of the other 3 clients she booked at the same time. So I go and waste a couple of hours. But something told me to contact her before I head back and ask her if she's actually going to be ready at 2. To which she replied "so sorry maybe 3." MAYBE 3??? My appointment was at 11 and for a reason... so I didn't go. I mean how about I'm so sorry I got behind, how about tomorrow? You'll be my first client. I'll give a free trim for the inconvenience... something besides thinking its totally okay to waste someone's day that way. The next day I went elsewhere and she was professional and kept me updated that she was running 15 mintes late and she did a fantastic job.
