There are many people who have trouble finding their calling but that's clearly not the case with Dr. Bhoyrul. He is the best Gastro doctor and surgeon, period. I was having gastro issues for quite a while and I had seen several other gastroenterologist and none of them could come up with an accurate diagnosis. I did some research and homework and thank god I found Dr. Sunil Bhoyrul. He is extremely professional, caring and an expert at his craft. I am completely indebted to him and his staff as I was in dire need or I would not be here today. The surgery scheduling team has really fallen short - 2 people. One I sent 2 emails and no response (I sent it to the email the surgery team wrote down and I double checked it) she said she never received it and the other left 2 voice messages and an email and no response so I had to call the front desk to try to get a response. I have no idea why he has staff like this when he is so wonderful. You just can't ignore people when they have questions re: upcoming surgery. I was denied for a psychiatric incident that happened over a year and a half ago, I was cleared by my own psychiatrist as well, however their psychiatrist mis reported an incident saying it was within 6 months. I kindly asked the surgeon to double check my chart since this information was falsely reported. They also knew this was going to be an issue months prior, but still had me complete all the steps, imaging, upper GI and spend hundreds on THEIR nutritionist they recommended. Not only that, they also said their psychiatrist never denies anyone, it's her job to approve people! When I was denied I was told by several people they just "wouldn't submit" that report. Which led me to continue paying their nutritionist and fulfill all their requirements at a rapid pace. I was never met with the same urgency I gave to them. It was a waste of time , money and resources I truly think they just wanted me in so deep, I wouldn't switch to a new provider. It was such a waste of time working with them. Lack of care to match.
