Neat store with beautiful high fashion items ... especially shoes. While you will have to get used to the tighter security all the stores on the Mag Mile have had to install, once past that you'll have a delightful time if you like Ferragamo designs. The store limits how many customers can be inside at any one time, and essentially a sales person will follow you around the aisles ... but if you can understand the need for this security you'll realize it's there for you and them. I think shoes is where Ferragamo really shines. Overall their products and designs are marvelous, but in shoes they really outclass many others. Once you've invested in a Ferragamo shoe, you'll keep coming back. This was a fun visit in a stunning store ... recommended. read more

Ordered a belt one month ago from Ferragamo. I never received the belt and they sent it to a UPS access point near my home. I have checked the UPS access point several times and the belt is not there. I have contacted Ferragamo several times (weekly) letting them know I did not receive the belt nor did I sign for it as required. They continue to open multiple claims with no resolution and the customer service representatives have zero clue what is going on. Each time I call, I talk to a different representative. They continue to tell me to be patient while they open yet another claim. At this point, just credit my account as the belt is clearly lost. I am shocked that Ferragamo has such disorganized customer service. For a luxury brand, they are way below their competitors in customer service and knowledge. read more

My fiancé and I were there to purchase a belt that would match the Vara crossbody bag that I already purchased online. It's not everyday that we splurge on luxury items and this was my fist designer belt purchase. Daniel made us feel welcomed, comfortable at ease with our purchase. He was informative without being pushy. He was funny and so personable. I am sometimes reluctant to shop at luxury boutique stores from past experiences of being ignored or the complete opposite of over pushy sales associates. This was a wonderful and memorable experience . I will definitely shop again specifically with Daniel. I recommend you ask for him if you visit this store. Well thanks to Olger, I can barely get my coffee down after seeing pics of his hairy feet! So you either like Ferragamo or you don't! I happen to be on the side of loving their shoes. My favorite is the classic low leather pump with the signature matching bow and gold hardware. I don't wear them the traditional way with a St. John knit. I rock mine with skinny jeans and sometimes boyfriend jeans. I've only had quality experiences with the store. Yes, the Pelli water is a nice touch but for me, I find the sales team to be professional but not at all snooty. I've had some of their shoes for over ten years and other than a heal replacement they are still going strong. My husband has two Ferragamo belts and both are still looking and working great after 15 years. Yep, they offer quality leather merchandise that lasts and the look is classic. read more

I love Ferragamo bags and shoes. A high heel that is comfortable from day of inception? Almost unheard of - but not with this brand. I also love their handbags- and I bought one two seasons ago. I was a bit disappointed in how the goatskin leather wore after two years so I took it in, and they sent it off for "repairs". It took a little over a month to get back- but my bag looks better than the day I purchased it, and they didn't charge me anything! I was at this store on Saturday about an hour before they closed and my experience was the most disappointing experience at a Ferragamo. I've been to several Ferragamo locations, both domestically and internationally and this one was the worst I've ever been. I take my significant other on two shopping sprees at Ferragamo each year since she loves the brand and we usually spend north of 10k at each of her sprees however we spent 30 minutes at this location and not a single associate approached us offering help. Which is disappointing. Towards the end we went to the second floor and two of the associates were on their phones the whole time. Needless to say we left without buying a single thing, which is a first at a Ferragamo store. We simply went across to Nordstrom to get our Ferragamo fix. I had a great experience at this store. We were promptly greeted by several staff when I walked in to return and perhaps exchange some pumps I had purchased online. Pam took a look at them and we concluded that I needed a different size. We went through several attempts to get me the shoes I wanted from other locations, but that particular shoe wasn't available. At a later date, however, she helped me find another beautiful shoe that is better suited for my feet. During the whole two-week process, she and I communicated through text. She was always willing to answer my questions and keep me informed. I had a very nice time dealing with her, and ultimately walked out of the store very happy with my purchase. Buying Ferragamo's is a different experience from buying cheaper brands, because they are not massed produced. But you end up with a well-made shoe that will last you for years. This is my fourth pair, and I plan to purchase more in the future. read more

Incompetent and indifferent staff. Had an item shipped from the another Ferragamo store making sure the shipment was on time as this was a birthday gift. At pick up we were told the item had not arrived yet which turned out to be a complete lie. We followed up with the store that shipped the item and they provided us with the shipping information which clearly showed the item had already arrived at the store when we were inquiring about it from the sales staff. They didn't even bother to go look at their shipment to see if our item had arrived. We left empty handed and they called us 2 hours later saying "oh your shipment just arrived". This is after the other store had called the Chicago store to tell them the item is there just do your job and give it to the customer! I call on the store manager to guide the staff to do their job right and actually help the customer instead of being lazy and lie to coverup their mess up. The staff don't care about the customers and their time. They do whatever makes their job easier which apparently is lying! read more

Unfortunately, my experience with the Chicago store was not so positive. The manager, Jason, is super nice. However, one of the sales person in the man's department was very rude and unprofessional. (Truthfully this is a one star review for the unhelpful management at the Ferragamo Chicago Store - Jason Ross / Megan unsure of her last name) My husband bought a pair of shoes from this Ferragamo store back in July of 2013 - this past May he started to experience this odd clicking noise from within the sole of the shoe to which we decided to bring them into the store for repair. Jason (the director) said that we would have to show proof of purchase and pay $145.00 to repair the shoe. (The $145 would cover sending it off to their repair center). Less $145.00 and a month or so later, we received the shoes -- the clicking persisted. I called Jason back (clearly frustrated) expressing my disappointment that we had paid a premium for the shoes and for this repair. He said that he was going on a week vacation but we could bring the shoes in and speak to the manager of the store. We did so later that day, to which Megan (the "manager") told us that she spoke to Jason and he said that there was NOTHING they could do to help and reimbursed us for the cost of the repair. We asked for a fresh pair of shoes: No. We asked to be reimbursed for the initial purchase: No. We asked if they could offer us ANY other solutions - None. After having left the store disheartened, my husband and I were back to square one. From there, I called Ferragamo US Corporate and explained the situation. Carmen Maduro could not be more helpful. She asked me to send the shoes in and sent us a fresh pair to replace the clicking shoes! What a doll. Truthfully, if it were not for Carmen - I would have lost complete faith in this experience based on poor customer service. When you work in an industry where wearing luxury brands are a must we will be reconsidering ever buying a Ferragamo product again thanks to Jason and Megan. I've been a Ferragamo admirer since a little girl. I'm not so much a fan of their clothes (it's nice, but at this range, I'd rather go Prada), but their shoes and leather goods are excellent. This particular store has excellent service. The gentleman was very helpful and not pretentious at all. We browsed the store, but did not find anything SJT loved. The quality of service here was amazing. I did not walk into the store with anything particular in mind, but since the staff here was so helpful, I ended up picking out some flats (my first pair of Ferragamo shoes actually). While I was looking at shoes, the staff was very energetic and friendly, which didn't make me feel bad for trying on so many pairs to find my favorite ones. They were offered helpful advice and recommended some other products to help me match the shoes. I didn't feel pressured to buy at all by the staff since they were very professional, and only got a pair of flats in the end. They also sent a "Thank You" card to my apartment afterwards - what a nice touch to the quality service! I also made a visit to the Prada store on Oak. Although I liked the products there, the level of service was just not comparable. There was no personal touch at Prada - sales reps dropped generic comments and appeared a lot less enthusiastic. I understand that Prada is a more luxury brand, and that probably led to the indifference of the sales rep, but I wish they could offer some more personal and high-quality service like Ferragamo on Michigan. read more

The service is ok if you are gonna buy something from the store, they will pretend to be nice until the point you end up buying nothing where the service just goes downhill. And if you ever wanna fix your shoes given you did nothing wrong with it (e.g the bow falls off on its own), they will charge ridiculously amount of money to have it fixed and blame you for not being careful while walking. The money you paid for your shoes and the service you received are on different tiers. If Ferragamo keeps running their business like this, I'm sure there will be one day that people will get tired of their services. At least for me, I won't shop at Ferragamo ever again! read more

I am going to sue this place because my feet got hurt bleeding from those shoes and they refuse to return them

I have purchased several Ferragamo products for myself and significant other including: 2 wallets (men's and women's), 3 pairs of shoes (2 women's 1 men's), and a men's belt. I have clearly seen a distinction in quality between the men's and women's products. I purchased the men's wallet over 4 years ago and it still looks like new without any special care. I purchased the women's wallet 2 years ago and the Varina bow on it is torn up and the top coat on the wallet is peeling off. I have never heard of a $500+ wallet falling apart in such a short amount of time (about 1 year before damage started to show). The shoes I purchased less than a year ago are black, patent leather pumps. They developed creases in the toe box within a few months, even with use of shoe trees and minimal use each week. The caps on the bottom of the pumps have come off, revealing the metal. I have sent the shoes to the cobbler and the repair only lasted 2 weeks before the metal showed again. My other pair of shoes are Varina flats and, unless you walk outside without the risk of anything getting on your shoes, the bow will get dirty within a few months, even with gentle use and use of a cloth bag for storage. I contacted corporate customer service and the wallet is irreparable and was not offered to be replaced. As for the shoes they said they could recommend an authorized repairer. Not the customer service I would expect for having spent so much money on these products and having them fall apart in such a short amount of time. The men's products have held up extremely well. All have been bought over 3 years ago and still look great without any sort of special care given to them. I will never purchase women's Ferragamo products again and have been deterred enough from the customer service to never purchase the men's products again. read more

Blatantly horrendous service experience today. I called in to the store this week to confirm that the 2 pairs of $700 shoes I purchased online could be returned and re-purchased in store due to a size change. My inquiry was eventually confirmed a day later and I was invited in. After driving 45 minutes from the suburbs, a new arrogant in store rep uncaringly told me they couldn't help me because "his manager said so." A few simple questions were met with embarrassingly low competence, so rather than waste more of my time and energy I think I'll just stick to Magnanni's from here on out. read more

Great place for mens leather goods and shoes. Very polite staff if you walk in with a little confidence and look like you're willing to spend some money. I purchased a very nice black/brown reversible belt with a shiny double gancio belt buckle. Perfect for a suit or casual. Will definitely come back one day to purchase a pair of loafers. Only downside is that it's much smaller than other Michigan ave stores but they are renovating currently. read more

The last time I was here (Nov 2011) the store looked unkempt. The staff was disinterested and the inventory was low. I took a bag in that needed repaired because of poor design. The repair was less than stellar and the manager was too pretentious for his own good. I've since given up on Ferragamo. No more bags, no more coats, and no more shoes. My Prada messenger has seen much more action, is twice as old, and still looks brand new. Sorry Ferragamo, there are too many other options today that are better quality. read more

Caitlin, upstairs in men's shoes provided outstanding service special-ordering even sale items from another store.
