We paired a hydro massage with a float and could not be happier. Hydromassage is a massage technique which uses water pressure and temperature to reduce muscle tension, improve blood flow, and reduce stress. You do not get wet. You sit in a chair that massages through it with water. You can increase pressure as needed and speed. Get at least a 1/2 hour in the chair. It goes by fast! After the chair we went right into our float pod. Float therapy involves "floating" in a Epsom salt water-filled sensory deprivation tank, known as a floatation or isolation tank. The goal of float therapy is to calm the mind and the body. REST is at the root of floatation therapy's efficacy. It stands for "restricted environmental stimulation therapy." You don't get the same relaxation in your home bath tub as you do in the tank. The experience is something everyone should try. This facility is a little older but they keep up on the maintenance well. It was clean, well lit and had a big parking lot right out front for everyone to have room to park!

I love massages. If I could have a day of doing whatever I wanted, I would do the following: 1. Go out for coffee and pancakes 2. 2 hour facial 3. Go out for a cocktail and sushi 4. 2 hour mani/pedi and foot massage 5. Go out for crab legs and dessert 6. 2 hour full body massage My mother in law gifted me a pregnancy massage for my birthday this year and I finally got to use it! She had heard great reviews about Salus from her nieces and they were not wrong! They only do phone call scheduling but it was fast and easy. They require a credit card and ample time for cancellation, otherwise you get charged, but who cancels a massage?! They have a huge shared parking lot in their strip (they're moving to a free standing location soon if not already), Miranda was an amazing masseuse. She was so nice but really did 'beat me up' like I asked her to! My pregnancy has been taxing on my body and I definitely needed a massage. This spot was clean, every staff member I spoke to was friendly and I will definitely be back! Thanks so much!

FYI they demand a credit card on file even if you are paying cash or have a gift card.

Fantastic Location & Great Service! I was able to get my…read morefirst choice time slot for my massage. The front office staff was very helpful and friendly. My massage therapist, Scott, was amazing! He had a great working knowledge of his craft and was very skillful in his massage. I felt comfortable throughout the whole massage, perfect pressure, draping, etc. Next time Im in town, this will be my first stop!

It would have been helpful if they had sent that information in advance so I wouldn't lose session time. I met my therapist and let her know the massage was for relaxation since they offer pain relief and other types. She didn't ask about my preferred pressure or any focus areas. But we got started and at first the pressure was a little firm so I do appreciate she adjusted once I shared that with her. At one point, she applied an alcohol-based substance to my feet that smelled and felt like hand sanitizer, which was very different from the lotion she used elsewhere. Then she moved from my feet to my arm -- a bit unusual in sequence -- and ended up only massaging one side of my body before stopping because time ran out. When I checked out, I shared some of my feedback with the front desk, but the staff seemed more focused on getting me to sign up for a membership package. After I politely declined multiple times, the receptionist directly asked how much I planned to tip the therapist, which felt uncomfortable. Overall, it was an odd experience which is a bummer since the place is nice and was very clean when I arrived.

Stopped in today to buy some product from the skin center. Besides having pizza boxes on the front…read moredesk the girls were rude. At least I expected a SMILE working front desk customer service. Then I went to the appointment desk at the dermatology center to have no one there. The time was 1:30 pm so I was thinking the lunch hour was over. It was Friday so maybe everyone was ready to go home? I will continue to take my service to the Grand Pearl Salon Downtown. I thought I would save a drive because I live in Grandville but never again. I have much better customer service including welcoming faces downtown. Thank you for taking the time in reading this email

The girls there just asked for insurance never clearly explained to her because of the language barrier she was going to get an additional bill. My parents final caved and paid three months after the fact with the constant harassment. I tried calling several times trying to resolved this and because of the inhuman way of treating clients no one every contacted my parents. To say the least my sister and I have gone there for years and will never step foot in there establishment again. I do not recommended them to anyone who might be looking for a place that is caring and treat people with dignity. We as women all want to be look beautiful but to be treated fairly and with respect.
