A therapist (Laura) at Simply Massage rejected all future appointments because the tips provided were not to her liking. This was relayed to me when I went to book her a third time and had to call. They seemed to have blocked my ability to schedule online. Calling is the only method at this point. This is basically " cherry picking" the best tippers. I am a member, yet it doesn't seem to matter. You would not be refused service at a restaurant for your tip history, so nor should you at Simply Massage. It seems that maybe the help needs a wage increase as they emphasize tipping, leaving it up to the clients whom already pay $70 to $90/hour for servicing. However, it was also explained that the tip reason for rejection is supported by management, not just one therapist. I am weighing my future relationship with this company. read more

On Mothers day, our son gave his mom a gift of a massage . it was purchased on Saturday, one day before Mothers day. Due to severe back pain, my wife wound up in the emergency room twice in 24 hours on Sunday, Mothers day. On Monday, literally the first day Simply Massage was open, She called to reschedule her massage , as she was on heavy meds and in a lot of pain. The person in the front office she spoke to was very rude, even suggesting she was lying. They charged her a $35.00 cancelation fee and ruined the Mother's day present from her son. read more

My wife and I have been going to Simply massage for about the last 5 plus years. She fancies massages! We signed up for the membership, and would get regular 90 min monthly massages. We found 2 massage therapists we rather much enjoyed, Zack and Marissa. I was not for the membership but it keeps my wife happy so you know how they say it. Happy wife, happy life, so we paid for it. We went through a couple of people until we settled on them. We were scheduled this week for our monthly massages and my wife got an email. They switched our therapists. It was a generated email. No phone call, no explanation. I have situational anxiety and I normally do not write long reviews. However, this was so unprofessional it got me going today. So I called and asked why, they informed me that Zack and Marissa have parted ways.... So you are just going to throw my wife and I in with some other people we know 0 about. As I stated above, very unprofessional! Hold up, my anxiety is not going to sit right and you have us 0 notification just made the change thinking we were going to be ok with it. Thinking my situational anxiety was going to be ok with it. Ok I looked into this a bit deeper. I am happy to say BYE Simply massage! WE CANCELED, and I found out where they went. I have had massages many places but this place is by far my favorite! I like that they have listed on their site what each individual is trained in, so I can find a masseuse who fits my needs. Cupping used to be free, but now you do have to pay extra which is fine (since that is what every other place does as well). I used to be faithfully getting a massage at least once a week. Unfortunately my therapist moved to the UP so I stopped, unfortunately. At 76 I did not think it necessary. Then after episodes of knee, back, and neck pain I realized a massage was necessary. I sent notes to friends asking for advice on where I should go for treatment, and fortunately my daughter had visited Simply Massage. I had my first visit this week, and was simply amazed by the level of courtesy and friendliness. Bronson, my therapist, started me down the road to recovery. The therapists were very attentive to our needs and made sure we were comfortable. I had Bridgette as my therapist and she was amazing! I am a hairstylist and struggle with back and neck pain. My husband and I have been going for awhile now. The therapeutic massages they offer are wonderful. When my asthma flairs up I have a raindrop massage with immediate relief that lasts for days. My husband always gets deep tissue for his chronic back issues and has found enough relief to cancel seeing a neurologist. If I am not feeling like deep tissue I will have a bamboo which gives me the effects of deep tissue with a little fluff and bluff added. They also have stones. Our favorites are Heidi Kevin and Robin. But all are good and know their way around. I scheduled my first appointment here to have a 90 minute massage yesterday. My therapist was Melissa O. I have nothing but good things to say about this business and about my Massage Therapist. The location was easy to find, the staff were friendly, my appointment started right on time, it was clean and the table was super comfortable. Melissa's massage was ah-mazing. I've had a lot of massages in the past and this was by far the best massage I have ever had. She listened to my concerns, used adequate pressure and had a great attitude. Beware when buying their groupon as a gift!!!! Apparently you must ask the person you're buying the gift for if they've ever been there before because the groupon is for first time customers only. After purchasing a Groupon I was excited for a 2 hour couples massage. details were 1 hour massage followed by a 1 hour hot stone massage. The massage only lasted 1 hour and 30 minutes total time which was disappointing. I was so impressed with the experience at Simply Massage that I joined their members club and set about trying out the specialty massage experiences. There is a two hour bliss with hot stones, or a sugar scrub, or bamboo for a mini vacation or a regular relaxing massage. I have experienced a good migraine relief massage, and on another day wonderful back focused massage which relieved the spasms in my lower back. I have met most of the therapists and although each provides a slightly different experience I have not yet gotten up from the table without feeling pampered, soothed and relaxed. read more

I understand what we received was likely considered a "therapeutic" massage. However, we were never asked what type of massage we preferred prior to beginning the session.
