We had a great time here. I definitely stole a few songs off their playlist that night which is never a bad thing. We ordered some nibbles like queso and guac which were just ok. I like my guac chunky and this was not; still delicious though. Their vegetarian options are slim so I opted for a salad without meat and it was mediocre. The drinks and service were great; they lacked some vegetarian options imho.

I didn't really like Salud that much, which was disappointing, because I had heard a lot of really good things about it. The ambiance was very cool, and the waitress was an absolute sweetheart, but I can't really say anything else about it impressed me. They have a very limited food and drink menu, as I was told that they didn't serve lemonade, or regular French Fries. The cheese quesadilla was pretty good, although that's a pretty hard thing to mess up. The taco was awful, I only took one bite out of it. As I said, they don't have regular fries, so I got the sweet potato fries. They were not good. In addition, the chips were awful and I didn't finish the whole bowl. I would not recommend going to Salud, and will not be back myself.

I typically advocate for restaurants, focusing on their standout qualities. Today marked our third visit to Salud. As avid fans of Mexican cuisine, my husband and I were disappointed to find Salud falling short. The guacamole, for instance, lacked freshness and quality, appearing runny. What particularly bothered me was the cold food, including my street tacos, which were merely warm. Furthermore, the corn tortillas were undercooked. While I acknowledge that establishments can have 'off days', the prices at Salud suggest an expectation of better quality and freshness. One thing I will say was pretty good was our server Kendall. She provided good service. I know you're one of the few Mexican restaurants in Camden, but let's do better. Regardless if it's busy or not, your food should ALWAYS be top-notch, particularly given the reputation you 'appear' to uphold. Pictures don't lie, ‍

Awesome atmosphere and food service. The drinks are tasty and the tacos and burritos are awesome. I try and go there every time I'm in SC. The tequila drinks are very good. Order the Palomo it's my favorite. The queso with chorizo is addictive. Enjoy!

Wow what an amazing surprise. I'm in the area visiting my Mother who lives here. I'm live in California where the Mexican cuisine is very abundant. For a sleepy town like Camden, SC, Salud is much needed. The cool modern metro vibe of the restaurant sets the mood. The bar looks amazing and is very inviting. I enjoyed two yummy cocktails. Nice table seating for large groups. As well as nice cozy booths for a more intimate setting. The food is authentic and taste amazing. For a second I thought I was back in San Diego, CA. Really great prices for what you are served. I was stunned that three of us was able to eat and my two extra cocktails for under $70. You won't find that anywhere in SoCal. This is my spot for Mexican goodness when I'm back visiting in the area.

The warm black beans, chopped grilled chicken, corn, & salad greens plate was delicious. Chips & salsa are served while the order is prepared. The salsa doesn't come in mild. Specialty salsas such as pineapple or mango salsa are available to order from the appetizer menu. Menu sections are in Spanish but the name of each item is in English. We walked in on a Saturday evening without reservations, but luckily some customers in the balcony were leaving. Otherwise it would have been about an hour wait. The balcony dining had a couch, coffee table, & 2 club chairs in each of the 3 areas up there. It was uncomfortable for eating. I opened my napkin & put my plate on my lap instead of leaning over to eat from the coffee table. Next time, we will book reservations for booth seating under the balcony or one of the tables in the more lighted dining area. The restaurant is in a building that houses other businesses. Upon entering the building, there's a children's clothing boutique on the left & a small art gallery on right. Next is Salud. Down the hall from them is another art gallery then restrooms. There's also a back door for those who park in the back instead of parallel parking in the front of the building.

I grew up in Southern California, so I'm picky about my Mexican food. Salud delivers!!! Delicious handcrafted margaritas, super fresh ingredients, and a magical atmosphere combine to provide a phenomenal experience. Our favorites: the shrimp ceviche, fresh guacamole, and street tacos. The Enmentada Margarita is wonderful too. I used to "hop around" on the margarita menu -- I'll get the Enmentada (mint) from here on out! read more

I'm glad I made the trip from Lexington to Camden to try Sauld. When I first arrived, I was not expecting that the restaurant to be in the midst of stores (though this was a Saturday night and the stores were closed). Once our party had arrived, they sat us quickly (from my understanding you would need a reservation Friday and Saturday nights). I had ordered the street tacos and from the one time I actually ate tacos in Mexico, the tortilla shells they used were pretty much the same ones I had in Mexico. Also like that their Coke products were served from glass bottles. read more

Stopped in today for a margarita. Unique atmosphere with a really fun vide. Great big bar with a ton of tequilas. They also offer beer and mixed cocktails. I had the Coyota margarita. It has Tequila blanco and jalapeño syrup in it and was spicy and delicious. Was just in for a drink so I skipped the menu. Really enjoyed the margarita and sitting at the bar. Will be back for the food next time. Worth a stop while you are in Camden. read more

Stopped in here for lunch on a recommendation of a friend and was so happy I did. Really great menu and fantastic food. Very affordable and the atmosphere is great as well. Will be back at dinner time to try some of the numerous tequilas they have. Highly recommend! read more

Salud has amazing food and tequila hands down. But I have to say the service from the hostess during my last visit was terrible. I had a reservation at 8pm. When I got there they had a table ready, but it was right up front buy the hostess and all the other people waiting. I asked if we could be seated at one of the other 5 tables that were open, and the girl said no. All the open tables were reserved. I've never been to a restaurant were you can reserve certain tables, and when I made my reservation, I certainly was not asked if there was a certain table I wanted. Some of these sat open for another 20min before anyone was seated. read more

We have eaten at Salud 12 times now. They have never failed to be consistent with excellent service, fresh and well prepared food and at a very reasonable price. Reservations on Thursday, Friday and Saturday are a an absolute must. Keep up the great work. read more

For us this place is a little out of the way, but we made the trip to Camden just to check it out. The location is super cool; part of an old mainsteet brick building that has multiple shops in it like an open air market. It has a little loft with couches (you can eat up there) a bar and more traditional seating downstairs. The food is very good and filling and the specialty Margs are delicious! The only reason this place doesn't make 5 stars is that you have to pay extra for sides like rice and beans, the guac is pedestrian at best and the Margs are over 8 bucks each! Ouch. A little steep for Camden. Overall a solid upscale-ish Mexican joint with good food and booze. I'll be back. read more

Our bill was $75 and we ordered two orders tacos and three drinks. The carnitas tacos had absolutely no flavor and in my opinion Taco Bell is better. I wasn't able to eat my food bc of the lack of taste. The drinks are extremely high priced. They have good potential and the ambiance is amazing. We have been hearing about this spot for a few years and we drove 45 mins to experience it and we are highly disappointed unfortunately. It wasn't an impressive experience. read more

Didn't even eat here. Went in and asked for a table. Was told it was going to be an hour wait and was told we could sit at the bar. Asked my wife if she wanted to do that, she said no, so then all of a Sudden it was an hour and a half wait. So what changed in less than 10 seconds? Fuck if I know. Wasn't really dressed the part, I felt like we were being looked down on the entire time we were in the place. This place needs to learn how to be more welcoming. read more

Great atmosphere, great margaritas, and not so great food. Most people love the food, but that's because they're from the South, and don't know any better. Being from the west coast, where you'll find the best Mexican food in the world, I just can't get into this place. Most of the food has very little flavor. Even the Mexican people who work there admit the food is not authentic or in any way, good. read more

Fun and colorful place. Playing upbeat music, not loud or obnoxious. Prompt and pleasant service. And delicious food. Mixed ages, not all college or and not all retired people. I found this little gem as I was passing through South Carolina, and it's deserving of a bookmark for sure. read more

This place is incredible. Great food, drinks, and Ambiance!!! Margaritas were on point, food was cooked perfect. We had the roasted pineapple guac, poblano burrito (bartender recommendation) and streak street tacos. All of the items we had were very good. The bartender was awesome. We will be back!!! read more

Great ambiance!!!! Beautiful decor. Started off with mango habanero ceviche, guacamole, one tamale and a cheese dip. Ceviche is amazing. Guacamole is amazing. The tamale wasn't what I was expecting but if I would have bothered reading I would have seen it was just corn and no meat. Still pretty good. I ordered the tilapia tacos. Very good. I have eaten here at least 3 times since moving to town 3 months ago. They are always friendly & seem to be following every covid precautions. Their food is also AMAZING! We ate in restaurant once and takeout twice. Would definitely recommend! read more

This place is awesome!!! Me and some friends found this place in downtown Camden and love it. We've been several times and the food is always great with friendly service staff. The atmosphere is far more swank than you would ever expect in this ratchet town. Huge tequila selection and decent beer choices as well. I highly recommend it. read more

Great food!! I had a friend of mine recommend the place but he didn't tell me where it was. I walked up and down street then realized it was in what looked like a strip mall shop. Once we walked in a was immediately wowed by the decor. The place looks great! We sat down and looked at the drink menu they have every kind of tequila you can imagine. They also have imported beer from latin countries. My wife and I ordered the mango habanero ceviche which was delicious. I ordered a burrito but forgot the name and my wife ordered the shrimp quesadilla. They were both amazing. I am a big eater so I also ordered the pork belly tacos. Yum!!! To finish it off we had fried cheese cake. Everything was plated beautifully and was delicious. Great prices too, definitely will go again. read more

To pricey, first time visit , they tell me what need to call for reservations, Ummm I have been in a multiple Mexican restaurant, with better food, better price and better attitude, restaurant is beautiful, but don't feel like a regular Mexican restaurant, usually Mexican restaurant is a place you feel welcome, with spicy friendly people, but here is feel like is to cold they way they tried you!! They only thing I like was the decoration inside look very chill that all, I am surprised Party of 2 need to call for reservations, so ridiculous specially went the restaurant isn't that busy, we seat at the bar they take forever to take ours drink , I told my husband to go somewhere out but finally we stay here , margaritas is good just pricey, but I don't recommend this place for a family , look like just pick their customers!! read more

The bar looks really pretty and very stocked... and that's about it. Trying to make Mexican food fancy will never go well. The Shrimp tacos made me sad. Husbands enchiladas were weird. Overall, disappointing... especially for the price. The steak nacho appetizer was really good. Stick with that. I'm Hispanic and grew up on Mexican food. This is not Mexican food. read more

I would suggest that the manager incorporate "runners" who help deliver the food to the table so everyone is served at the same time.

My husband and I have tried this restaurant several times. The food was good, but the hostesses were rude and off-putting. We walked in one evening at 5. There were diners at two tables and several wait staff standing around. When we replied that we did not have a reservation, the hostess said she could not seat us because the only open table was reserved for 6:30. It doesn't take us a hour and a half to eat dinner. As we left we concluded we weren't the right kind of people. Now, admittedly we weren't dressed up fancy; just regular, clean, decent clothes, but our money spends as good as the next person's. Some friends and I enjoyed a great lunch there Saturday. The food was cooked to order, not fast food, the atmosphere is fabulous. You can easily walk past this place but once inside, the decor is breath taking and the atmosphere is very relaxing! To top it off, the have some of the best drinks and food! I truly feel this restaurant is truly underrated. Every inch of the food is made with care and authenticity. food was fine except a cockroach in wife salad. we got the manager over and he didn't charge us for the salad. rest of meal was ok. lots of types of techila. we usually love it here but not tonight. go for the food but look for the extra meat. read more
