I live in a small town in Western Massachusetts and travel around the country every two years (why? because I can). I usually find a shop somewhere on the west coast to have my oil changed and any other maintenance issues that may come up. I found Salty Cycles on my last trip out (2022). Given the incredible quality of the services provided as well as the incredible quality of the two people who were there (presumably Nathan and his employee?) I will now go out of my way regardless of where I might be on the west coast to go to this shop. I've traveled a lot (143,600 on my bike now) and there are no shops or mechanics that I've used that equal the quality of Salty Cycles. Best of the best. I have been through many motorcycle mechanics and have nothing but praise for Nate and Salty Cycles. Not many in the area are Harley Dealer trained as Nate is! Professional, knowledgeable and prompt are just a few of the words I would use to describe this shop. The ambiance is great in a great location! Problems with my charging system from the time I bought my bike occurred. My stator was replaced by a competitor and again failed. My 2011 street glide has the screaming eagle 110 motor. Nate diagnosed it soon after I dropped off the bike. He offered a screaming eagle upgraded stator which to date has performed flawlessly! When he went in tge 2nd one that had failed gad disintegrated into my clutch plate. He took all this apart and cleaned it. To date the bike is running better than ever. I trust Nate with my bike and do not hesitate to recommend him to everyone I know. Currently he is a one man show, but puts in long hours and the dedication needed to provide top of the line service. The prices are fair and he stands by his work. He has gone out of his way to help me after hours and on days off by coming to my house when my bike would not run to diagnose it. If you are looking for a mechanic, look no further, go give Nate and Salty Cycle some business and you will feel compelled to give him a glowing 5 star review like this one!! This is probably the best motorcycle repair shop outside LA's Garage Company. CLEAN, friendly, reasonable, and they don't even service our type of bikes (Ducati, though we are cajoling the owner to get certified). Alicia's bike developed an oil leak on a ride through the Carizzo Plain and we stopped by Salty's to purchase some oil to get us back to Los Angeles. Nathan not only tightened up her filter and topped off the oil, but did so for FREE. Whuuuuut??? They service Indians and Harleys, and we would consider buying one just to have them serviced at such a great shop! read more

Wow, Wow, Wow! I cannot say enough good things about Nathan, the owner of Salty Cycles. He was kind, compassionate, AND a great mechanic! My husband and I were riding on some back roads near Parkfield, California when we got a rear flat tire on our motorcycle at 3:00 on Saturday afternoon. We reached Nathan at his shop which was 44 miles from where we were. He didn't have the tire we needed in stock but located one in Santa Maria at the Harley Davidson store there. He was willing to go get the tire for us and our plan was to get towed or patch the tire enough to make it down and meet him at his shop. Our plan didn't work out as the tire was slashed and couldn't be patched (and we couldn't get towed for a variety of reasons I won't bore you with). In any event I asked Nathan if he had a trailer and could come get us. Believe it or not this kind man couldn't leave us stranded. So, he drove south to get the tire, back to his shop to get the trailer, then up to us to get us, then back to the shop (which was clean, well equipped and lovely) and replace the tire. To put this in perspective his shop should have closed at 4 or 5 on a Saturday and Nathan should have enjoyed his evening. Instead he helped us (at a reasonable price) and didn't leave his shop until 10:30. We are from southern Cal. And this whole experience had the potential of being a nightmare. Instead, Nathan (and his lovely girlfriend who accompanied him) made it a relatively pleasant experience (being stuck for about 7 hours is never too pleasant). We are beyond grateful to Nathan and his girlfriend and feel like we've made friends for life. My husband, who is a lifelong rider and does all his own work on his bikes (except for this tire) was impressed by Nathan's knowledge, his shop, and obviously by his kindness!! There are truly not enough ways to express our gratitude! read more

BEST Harley shop around. My 04 Dyna Lowrider would not start so it sat for awhile till I got around to taking it up to Nate at Salty Cycles. I could not be happier with the job he did on my Harley. They diagnosed the starting problem, did a complete service and even fixed things on my bike that I didn't know needed fixing and did it all in 1 day. I figured it was going to cost a lot to get it up and running, but to my surprise it did not. Nate's shop is very clean and his prices are more then reasonable. Nate and his staff are very pleasant, knowledgeable and happy to answer all your questions. If you have a Harley and want great service and great prices on parts and service, this is a must go to shop. read more

I very rarely ever give anyone a 5***** review but Nathon the owner of the business is amazing. Upon the arrival of my broken down HARLEY DAVIDSON, NATHAN drove me back down the highway to accommodation that I had the night before ( half hour drive ). He also had to go to Los Angeles to pick up what was needed. When the motorcycle was repaired he can back to the place I was staying to bring me to where my bike was at his shop.
