Daisy texted me about it even though business was closed on Sun/Monday. On Tuesday morning when she got to work, she contacted 5-6 of their locations and found me multiple Xpeditions in my apartment price range. She was super quick to text me info, specs, pictures and she did all the work. She found me one close to home at their Paso Robles location and had it all lined up for me to pickup Wednesday morning. She was by far the best sales person I've ever purchase anything from. Wednesday morning we drove to Paso to meet Mike and pickup our XP5. They were just finishing detailing it up and had it ready to go. We did maybe 10 minutes of paperwork and started loading it up on the trailer. Easiest purchase ever. The Paso location is brand new and very nice. Clean and tons of machines. They showed me an aluminum ATC trailer we'll be purchasing also. Daisy is now working on finding us a black ATC or aluminum enclosed trailer for the xp5. CA Customs has the best prices on Motorsport vehicles and trailers. We'd been searching for months. Dusty recovered my stolen motorcycle!!…read more On a Monday when the shop was closed, the owner, Dusty, was working overtime and offered to pick up my broken bike nearby with his truck and trailer. When we got there, we discovered my bike was stolen and the air tag on it placed it just north out of town. Dusty without hesitation asked, "Do you want to get your bike back?" He had me call the sheriff and report the bike stolen. We then tracked the bike to a home, negotiated with the nice people holding a pit bull on a leash, who were holding my bike for me for "safety reasons" to give back and load the bike, so we could bring it back to the shop. A few days later he slaps on a high capacity stator so i'm able to be back on the road to Denver! I can't thank Dusty and his crew enough! Highly recommend this local legend!

I understand not carrying a part -- that's fine -- but taking a VIN and then not following up, and not providing a clear referral, wasted my time. If you're going to collect info for a lookup, I'd expect either a return call or a direct lead on where to get it. Professional, knowledgeable and prompt are just a few of the words I would use to describe this shop. The ambiance is great in a great location! Problems with my charging system from the time I bought my bike occurred. My stator was replaced by a competitor and again failed. My 2011 street glide has the screaming eagle 110 motor. Nate diagnosed it soon after I dropped off the bike. He offered a screaming eagle upgraded stator which to date has performed flawlessly! When he went in tge 2nd one that had failed gad disintegrated into my clutch plate. He took all this apart and cleaned it. To date the bike is running better than ever. I trust Nate with my bike and do not hesitate to recommend him to everyone I know. Currently he is a one man show, but puts in long hours and the dedication needed to provide top of the line service. I absolutely trust him, especially now, though I don't remember his name while writing. He told me when I purchased the Jeep, the previous owner would be bringing by the Snorkel and some other additional accessories, (usually a BS claim), not with them, they both did, they are true to their word. The next week I was provided with a minimum $500 or more in accessories. These could have been sold on EBay and I would never have known. They are ethical. Enough said. Proud of our local community.

My friend recommended Phil Radford at Fair Spares America for the obligatory gearbox outer cover upgrades and tach drive mods. Since I do nearly all the mechanical work myself, Phil was a great help. One aspect sorely missing from many of the 'mom and pop' British bike shops in Southern California is a good business sense. Meaning, that most shops I have dealt with are a little lax when it comes to schedules, shipping of parts, hours of operation, etc. When I shipped the parts to Fair Spares for their modifications, they came back in a timely manner. Fair Spares is run like a proper business, not a hobby. More importantly, as I started to depend on Phil for timely shipping of parts, he started to inquire about what it was I was working on. What did I have, a total tear-down? Regular maintenance? A barn find? And he was more than forthcoming with a wealth of 'how to' assistance. A great example was my clutch basket. I needed the obligatory crank seal, primary case seal and outer cover seal. He walked me through the process in a clear and concise manner, which the manual just does not cover. Thanks to Phil, I was able to service my entire clutch assembly, including the cable adjustment and basket upgrades. I made notes while he explained, and referred to them time and again as needed. Phil also stocks only the highest quality parts he can find. Which means if the best part at the time is Emgo, but later Andover releases a better part, he is quick to adjust his inventory and informs his customer that a better part is now available. My experience while hunting for parts restoring other vehicles has not always been so honest. Excellent service, excellent free advice, timely shipping.
