If I could give zero stars, I would. I was the victim of an unconsensual chop. I had been working with this salon for months to maintain my length, gradually become blonde, and invested hundreds of dollars in hair products they recommended. I asked Anthony to repeat essentially the same haircut he had previously given me, using photos of his own work as a reference: keep my long square perimeter and soft, elongated layers, add some medium layers in the back, and take ONE inch off the overall length. He specifically asked me, "How important is length to you?" I said, "Very." He told me one inch was more than enough. Then he cut more than three inches off the back and upwards of five inches in the front. My long square perimeter is now rounded/oval, my soft ends are choppy and uneven, and some of the layering is cut in blunt straight lines rather than blending upward. My hair went from long to medium length in one appointment. It took me three years to grow my hair. It is now shorter than it was when I committed to growing it out. This was especially upsetting because Anthony had previously fixed another stylist's work at this same salon and given me one of the best cuts and colors I had ever had. That is why I trusted him to recreate his own work. The color was also inconsistent. There was no root smudge/blending like we discussed, and one side of my highlights is noticeably brighter than the other. It feels like I am back where I started before Anthony corrected the first stylist's work, except now I also lost several inches of hair. There were safety and professionalism issues too. Bleach got on my arms twice and on my face. While doing the foils around my face, foil was placed directly against my eye/face area while bleach was painted extremely close to my eyes without shielding them. I asked afterward why my hair had been cut so dramatically shorter than what we agreed to. I never received an explanation. I also had to fight for my refund. At one point I was already on my way to collect it when the owner reversed course after I mentioned conciliation court. I was then sent legal paperwork and initially offered only the haircut portion back. After going back and forth, they finally refunded the full $275 appointment. When I went in to collect it, the manager began telling me that the owner was dealing with her dying father. I am sorry she is going through that, but it had nothing to do with the fact that my hair had just been cut several inches shorter than I consented to. Hair grows back. I know that. But that does not mean a stylist gets to ignore an explicit agreement about how much hair can be removed. I asked for one inch. I said my length was extremely important. He agreed. Then he cut several inches off anyway. I loved my hair before this appointment. Now it is destroyed, and $275 does not come close to making that right. Anthony is inconsistent, and after my experiences with multiple stylists here, I would not trust this salon with my hair again. I've incldued a before and after. The before is from when I was trying to do passport photos days before Anthony cut my hair. It makes me so sad to look at, I felt beautiful. - my hair was my pride and joy. I enjoyed taking care of it and now it is gone. I've had nightmares where my hair was short and I'd wake up happy knowing I didn't cut it --and now this nightmare has come true. Had a couple massage in the salt room - Gabby was informative, and experienced with deep tissue. Plenty of parking, although the font size on the parking sign was a bit small, let's utilize that unused space. No complaints on the massage portion, except that in the salt room the audible associated with dispersing the actual salt took me out of the moment several times. No issues with the audio or temperature or humidity. For the appt., they pawn you off to some third party website that requires an account to make the appointment and throughout the Salt Spa Salon Cafe website and this other website, it is just plastered with disclaimers about booking policy and you must let them know about gift cards ahead of time and cancellation and cash must be XXX hours in advance due to our 4% CC processing fee. It starts to get daunting - do I even want to go through all this? As for the payment, they charged my credit card even though I had followed all the rules about the gift card anyway. When paying at the end, the employee seemed hesitant to be transparent about the charges as well and was just behind their monitor. Also, You can't enter the massage area of the building until you get this specific text message. Coupling that with the fact that the employee didn't seem willing to show me the monitor just made the whole financial side of things feel shady. My advice is to SKIP THIS PLACE. This salon HAS to be up charging their services, the products used DO NOT match the prices they're charge. I would not be surprised if they are using drugstore products under the guise of premium brands. They feel and smell cheap. But most importantly, shameful & terrible leadership. UNPROFESSIONAL, UNDERWHELMING, TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY! They initially booked the wrong service only to cancel hours before. They got me to rebook on the pretense that we would be compensated and a manger would call me- no one called. When we finally got there it's in a dingey basement, they don't have enough slippers, the robes had holes. There are amenities of a real spa. I am still not sure what the "salt room experience" actually is. The massage therapist was a great therapist but also seemed new because she couldn't answer any questions. Afterwards found out we weren't comped at all as promised and when I brought it up the receptionist (or whoever it is you call because no one was available in person) she said we would get 50% off and a manager would call. Well I got a text from a manager saying they would refund $25. Have called multiple times requesting manager call back and they have yet to reply. I came here for a girls day with my sisters. Right away they didn't know what services we booked and it took about 20 minutes to figure it all out. I got a massage/pedicure package. The massage was great however the room was right next to the road and was very noisy and the noise machine was malfunctioning which was quite distracting. We were assured that the SALT room experience was included in our package however we were charged extra after the fact for the room- even though we were assured multiple times it was included in the charge. When we called to dispute the person was extremely rude and gaslighted us- saying there was no one who worked here that would have said that and after giving the description of the girl- she said no one works here that fits that description. Sister-in-law scheduled a super relaxing salt spa day. I personally wasn't expecting anything much, you sit in a room made of salt and talk? Can't you do that anywhere for free? I was pleasantly surprised at how relaxing & cleanly it was. Once you park, go around to the front to sign in, get your temp, and sign any papers you hadn't done online. Once in, there are robes for you to change into, sandals for you to wear while in the salt room, and lockers to securely put your things in. In the dimly lit salt room, there are four chairs for your party. Salt covers the ground and there's soothing tunes that fill the room. After the host leaves the room, you're able to take your mask off and gain the full benefits. When I came, my skin was pretty dry but when we left, my legs, feet, hands, and surprisingly my hair felt super soft. It was fun to also just catch up in a new setting! read more

Place was recommended so I called Thursday for a Friday appt. Receptionist immediately told me there was a special for free mani with pedi, $15 surcharge if you want gel polish. Perfect! I booked mani/pedi both with gel. Got a call Friday morning that my technician wasn't offering the special so both services would be full charge. The ensuing conversation was like an SNL sketch about how not to run a business. When I said I would pay full price and rate the technician fairly but give an automatic poor review to the business, they said they were canceling my appt and wouldn't allow me in. I asked to speak with manager or owner but wasn't accommodated on that. I was polite throughout but shocked and quite angry about the whole thing as I had an event to go to that evening. I decided to treat myself to the 90 minute salt room massage, and it was a mostly amazing experience. Personally, I like the pre-pay aspect of the spa, so you're able to fully relax and enjoy the experience. I left my phone in the locker with all my other things to make sure I was able to completely disconnect. The foot soak room was so peaceful. The salt room was gorgeous and the massage was great. My only complaint that knocks it down 1 star is how loud the salt room is. There is the generator in the next room that grinds salt to put it into the air, and every time it turned on, it sounded just like my cellphone vibrating on a table. I asked them to turn it off after the first few minutes. But after that there was a good portion of my massage where there was loud booming noises coming from the hall/next room. It sounded like furniture moving or aggressive cleaning. Eventually it stopped, but the room has very loud white noise sounds - so the fact that the other noises could be heard was surprising in a spa. Overall, it was a great experience and I'll probably be back next time I want to treat myself. read more

The salon portion of salt is the only part I have ever been to. There is street parking or they have some salt specific spots to park in the back as well. The salon is clean and very aesthetically pleasing. I absolutely love going to Alex. She does an amazing job with washing, cutting and styling my hair. Alex is super fun and bubbly. My review spans the timeline from when they opened to today. I've been to Salt several times -- a few pedicures, a manicure, and one or two haircuts. While the hair stylists were friendly and provided quality service, it wasn't any different from another place that is just a portion of the price. It is not about the money -- it's the level of service expected from what they portray to be a luxury spa. It's an empty sell. The nail side of the house, however, is what spawned this post. This salon is very close to my house and I was so excited when it opened. I was determined it was going to be my go-to. But I've been more and more disenchanted with every visit. I got a mani-pedi tonight and the staff person was unfriendly and probably should never be in a customer-facing role. She seemed so disinterested in what she was doing and even annoyed I was there. I was so disappointed when this very expensive facial I had to sit and wait in a vestibule that was freezing u til the aesthetician retrieved me a couple minutes after my appointment time. They had a cold area to change with just a crappy curtain, water they couldn't bother to throw a lemon in, but not like it mattered there was no amenities because you wait in a cold doorway anyways. The facial was ok- the actual aesthetician was fine but the amount of perfumes in the different products was worrisome I was hoping for high quality products not over perfumed on my very sensitive skin- and while there was no intake forms with questions on the skin I did tell my aesthetician I have sensitive skin yet these were clearly not hypoallergenic in any way and my skin is worse after visiting the "spa". It's honestly the best cut I've ever gotten and was exactly what I wanted. Emily was so nice and efficient as well. Not only that, but the salon is so aesthetically pleasing. I had a great facial with Ella and really enjoyed the facial experience at Salt. However, when I was finished and was getting dressed in my dressing room, the shelf in the locker fell on my foot. I brushed it off and didn't make a big deal of it at the time but it really hurt and I also cut my finger trying to catch the shelf with my hand. My toe is all black and blue as you can see in the pictures. I sent an email along with the photos and never heard back so I called Salt Spa and spoke with Amber (the manager) and explained what happened and again never heard back. Horrible customer service which now adays goes a long way! I will not be returning to Salt and have shared this experience with friends and others in the community. I understand mistakes happen but your shelves need to be secured in your locker so this doesn't happen to future clients and it's how you address and handle the issue (or lack their of) which is incredibly bothersome. read more

GREAT nails by Sophia, TERRIBLE customer service by Amber and the leadership team. Almost every time I've booked here, despite having specified a preferred artist, they've switched the provider and/or service booked without my knowledge or consent. I have heard from others that this is a common occurrence, and is one of the reasons why this place has such high artist turnover and such a bad reputation among other well-respected local industry professionals. On top of that, they take a credit card to hold your appointment so, even if THEY change the provider or type of appointment without you knowing, they'll punish YOU by still charging you for the service if you cancel within 24 hours. During the last manicure I had, not with Sophia, it took an hour just to remove simple gel polish (my otherwise healthy nails were wrecked after all of that acetone and scraping), and the new polish didn't even last three days. Lost one nail after only one day, and by the third the rest had totally peeled off. After trying for a week, I still cannot seem to get a manager to return a call on the matter. SALT seems to think that their establishment itself is more important than the amazing artists who work there, or the customers who pay them, because they don't seem to really care about the experience of either. A rough day here. I went with a small group for bachelorette facials and massages. We waited in a cold vestibule until after our appointment time. When my friend called to find out what was going on with our reservation, the person that she was speaking to refused to speak with her face to face even though she was just in a different part of the building. My friend then went into the coffee shop part of the building and the girls behind the desk wouldn't make eye contact or explain anything about what was happening. Turns out the reservation that was made for four people two months ago was lost. These things happen, but instead of addressing it, the staff tried to pretend they literally couldn't see us. I have never left a review however after the way I was treated I felt I must warn people. After traveling nearly 2 hours for a relaxing spa day with my daughter we were brought back to start our service with a foot scrub. When that was over we were told my the massage specialist that we would not be getting our 90 minute salt cave massages that we booked and prepaid for already. Instead one of us could have a 60 minute massage while the other sat in the salt cave. I explained to him that this was just not gonna work and asked to speak to the manager. He went to talk to manager/owner and she would not come and talk to us. I said well can I go talk to her up front then and he said "no, she doesn't want you causing a scene up front." I was not angry about not having the massage but concerned because my service had already been paid for. When I told him of my concern regarding getting my money back he said he could not guarantee anything. We were let out the back door of the spa and walked around up front to see what I could figure out about getting my money back. The gal at the front desk was so very kind and she worked on getting my money back to me. All the while the manager/owner was standing around the corner! the one who would not take time to meet with a customer who had concerns. What a difficult position to put your employees in and a horrible way to run a business. I've been to many different spas in my years and thankfully I've never encountered this ever. I will never return for a service at this spa. I would definitely think twice before booking. There are so many wonderful spas in the area that have much better management! I paid for my daughter to have a 90 minute facial at the Spa. She texted me after 67 minutes to say she was already done. Why did we pay for a 90 minute treatment? I felt ripped off. If the young woman who provided the service wondered why we didn't tip, there is your reason. Also, they have a silly policy of having you sit in your car until they tell you it is okay to come in. I have been here many times for different services - pedicure, massage, facial, and about 5 visits to the salt room. Everything is top notch! The services are excellent, particularly the massages. The spa is lovely and very relaxing. I love everything here. My son gets his haircut by Maya and she does an excellent job. Just finished up a facial with Ella. AMAZING. She was very sweet, calming, and made the whole experience very peaceful. I booked the FULL salt facial, not expecting much, but basically got a foot massage, shoulder and neck massage, and head massage with a highly detailed facial customized to my skin. My skin was glowing when I left and she even made the painful extraction process so smooth. Highly recommend. Paying in advance is a huge bonus. The whole staff was very nice and accommodating even when I stopped in their Cafe after. I would recommend and have already booked my next appointment! read more

Avoid this salon if you don't want a headache - customer service is terrible. I was looking forward to getting a new look - provided photos as they asked and was very clear at the beginning of my appointment what I wanted. The result was very disappointing, the stylist rushed me out (I think knowing the result was not good). I could barely see the highlights in my hair - the before and after picture looked almost exactly the same. I sent photos and asked if they could redo the service - their customer service was awful, blaming me for not selecting the right service (who is the expert here?). They ultimately agreed to do a complimentary partial foil but couldn't book me right then. I finally got ahold to rebook, and the day of the correction, they changed my appointment time without telling me, then when I arrived, told me it was not complimentary - even though that was clearly communicated, then said they wouldn't be able to perform the partial foil because they close at 8pm (it was 5pm). I drove 30 minutes for nothing, but got them to agree to a refund. They couldn't apply the refund right then, I would have to call. I was given a managers name, I have since called and told there is no one by that name, and that a manager would have to call me back - I have also emailed with zero response. I'm pretty forgiving, but this was beyond terrible customer service. It's clear they have a strategy for avoiding any sort of resolve for customers. read more
