    Amazing energy inside the cave!
    Toni M.

Saved my life literally! The zen of this place feels like home. The cave is magic, it brings me to the beach every time! I feel like a different person every time I go in there. It truly is an experience every one must try. The Den is the only place in the Capital District you can find actual Salt Lamps in different and unique forms too. I love the foot domes and ice bowls especially!

First time and I loved it! Went with two of my girlfriends in the sauna and we loved how private and relaxing it was! Going again very soon!

This is such a racket! $35 to sit in a deck chair and listen to creepy music! Waste of $$$.

. Next time, I will definitely purchase the package and plan for a massage prior to surgery, as well as during the recovery process

When she started Anise Moon in Latham, I couldn't wait to book an appointment, but my mom was visiting and I wanted to treat her first. She had a great experience, but I'll let her share her own story. Months later I was finally home and in a place where I could take a little time for pampering. Altranise was easy to book with and very nice when I got there. My only complaint is that the location is a little hard to find (it's super easy to drive to, but the address wasn't visible), but while I was there, the landlord was installing a sign for The Wellness Cottage now that all of the rooms are filled. Voila--fixed! Altranise made me feel very comfortable and I could tell she was genuinely interested in my past and current health to inform her work. The room was really comfortable and my 90 minute massage was heaven. She knew the exact areas I needed more attention on and I felt like she had the perfect amount of pressure. I only wanted a normal Swedish massage--I'm wimpy and can't handle deep tissue, but I know she would be great working however her client needed help, she really listens. I will definitely go back and my company is talking to Anise Moon about hiring her to do chair massage for the team at the office! One thing that stuck out on my first visit to her was how thorough she was in her consultation, and in the same vain, how much she listened. Her massage therapy has helped me tremendously. Through her care, I have gone from not feeling so well physically, to feeling great! As a bonus, I received another benefit that was almost as valuable. She's taught me a lot about my physiology and how to maintain my newly acquired flexibility so I can feel great all the time. Joyce is incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and caring. Without question, I recommend anyone needing massage therapy to make an appointment with her.

As I was very…read morenervous about my first session (since I NEVER had a massage before), she talked to me about my issues and what her plan of treatment was going to be. She seemed very knowledgeable and was extremely pleasant. She made my first session a positive one as I was able to relax and indulge in the moment, although in pain. As one session will not heal you or anyone, who has an injury as I did. But I was looking for relaxation upon my first session and she exceeded that goal. Needless to say I will never fear massage therapy again. As treatments continued I became more relaxed and comfortable with each session. The treatments have been an extremely positive outcome for my healing process. She has giving me many useful suggestions on ways to relieve pain and discomfort on my injured areas. With each session, it seems like the first (except I am not nervous anymore). She assesses how I am feeling physically and what her plan of treatment should be for that session. As I suffer from depression, she previously posted an article on her Facebook page regarding how massage therapy helps with depression. That article is so on point, the therapy that I have received not only has/is helping me physically but also emotionally/mentally. Joyce I am truly grateful, for all the time and patience you have given me, for the knowledge of knowing how to treat my injuries and most of all for listening, not with your ears, but with your heart. You are truly one of a kind. May God continue to bless you in all that you do.

I checked around to see who I could go to for a massage and called Adirondack Salt Cave for availability. They scheduled me with Hendrick and I added cupping as an add-on. Walking in, the room is dimly lit with salt lamps on the floor so you can rest your feet on them while you wait. There's jewelry, salt lamps, cherapy warming wraps (warmies made from cherry pits) and a few other things for sale, and the ladies at the front desk were so sweet and welcoming. The massage: Hendrick was very professional, attentive and took the time to listen to my concerns and to also explain to me in depth detail about how the massage would be done. I got a Swedish massage with cupping integrated in said massage and all I can say is my body feels less tight, relaxed and my upper back can breathe more easily than before. Thank you for giving my body and mind a huge reset. Will absolutely be returning!

Thankfully, the therapist that I had was extraordinary - Christine. Since my knots have knots currently, she certainly had her work cut out for her. The couples massage takes place in the salt cave. What a lovely, zen space! I kinda want to move in.... I left there feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. Christine warned me that I would be sore and to drink a lot of water. I was definitely sore - but a really good sore. I drank lots of water and clean iced herbal tea for the rest of the day. I feel fabulous today and I plan to book another massage within a reasonable amount of time to try and avoid getting into the physical mess that I'm in! FYI - they're still following covid protocols - which I personally think is great. Once in the salt cave, masks can be removed (but the therapists do keep them on currently). The front door stays locked, so call ahead to book appointments or to shop for anything relating to Himalayan salt products. I'll definitely be back!
