I had to run to the garden center for something, and had the opposite experience. The staff member manning the entrance greeted me when I came in, and helped me find the item I was looking for. The aisles are a little wacky and he wasn't able to direct me perfectly, and I had to do some wandering and scrounging. Still, he was so nice and at least seemed willing to help, which is more service than I usually get in these kinds of big box home stores. I'm not super handy so I can't really weigh in on everything here, but the garden center was pretty nice.

Upon our arrival we found all the porch seating was occupied so we decided to grab an outdoor picnic table. After about 15 minutes sitting in today's sun we decided to leave as it was much to hot be able to eat / drink outside in this sun. Oh well maybe next time !! Not sure why the open area with picnic tables wouldn't have umbrellas.

One side of the garden center hosted the Fall Festival, which had lots of family friendly activities, a Birds of Prey demonstration, and cute photo ops for kids (and adults). The other side had rows and rows of talented artists with their works of art on display. I thought the greenhouse was a lovely setting for this beautiful market.

I asked my sister and another sister in law if they would like to go and they said yes. When we got there it was interesting and creative to me yet I needed help to put something together that I had in mind for an indoor basket with some purple flowers that I was told she loved. Carol just didn't help me, she was patient and kind and very respectful. She helped me create exactly what I was envisioning even if I didn't know it at the time. I look forward to giving these beautiful baskets to my girls tomorrow before I travel back. Thank you Carol for your kindness. Caroline

There is also an interesting section of the store selling Syracuse China items. Apparently, you can sell your Syracuse China sets to Smith's. Had a lovely time perusing the shelves.
