Everything we tried here was amazing Queso, guac, salsa, chips, Bangkok shrimp tacos, queso rice (all not pictured but amazing!!) my drink tasted super fresh! Would definitely recommend

I'm struggling to write up this review. The service was good, the atmosphere was good, and the food was good but a few things stood out that had me pause and really think about coming back in the future. As I reflect the first point is I was not provided with any chips/salas like at most Mexican restaurants, I'm not sure if this is standard operating procedures or an oversight but I didn't ask and will own that and don't think it's necessarily fair for me to "hold that against them." The other thing I have to share is the pricing was not something I can get on board with! $17 for 3 birria tacos?! After the tacos, one margarita and tip I spend $40 on a subpar meal/dining experience. Sadly, I will consider other places where my money will go much further in the future.

I don't know what took me so long to try this place out! Everything was amazing. Pork belly tacos were great Gouda grits ooooh my god the corn in it takes it to another level. Wife had mahi tacos and prob the best I have ever had. The drinks were just as good to match the food. We had the beach bum and a mojito. We will definitely be back and if your wanting Mexican with a twist this is the spot of all spots.

Cute place! Great food. Pictured is the chilli relleno and chicken tacos (try them grilled!) the crunchy black beans on the tacos was a delicacy I have not had before. Cheers

Salt and Lime has always been my go-to for Mexican food in the Triangle. However, I'd always gone to the other location, so now that I live in Raleigh now and this location is closer, it only made sense to visit. I took a seat at the rectangular-shaped bar as I was coming in solo. They have so many tequilas and spirits displayed that they could put the local ABC store to shame. They do have various 3-tequila flights available at different levels, depending on how much you are willing to pay. For a cocktail, I tried their spicy watermelon margarita, which was a monthly special for July. It was pretty good, but it seemed like most of the spice was on the rim of the glass rather than in the cocktail. The drink was decent, the watermelon flavor was quite strong, I don't think I would order it again. Just looking for a snack, I got chips with sides of regular guac and Carribean salsa. I appreciate that the chips are not only homemade but served warm and seasoned with more than just salt. Plus the many salsas and guacamoles are made freshly, the proof is in the taste. Service was fair enough, it didn't stick out too much positively or negatively.

There aren't enough words to express how amazing this place is. One of the absolute best meals I've had in the triangle area, living around the area for 8 years. The vibe and atmosphere is great. The drinks were excellent. Huge portions. Had the tacos and burrito, both had so much meat. The flavors were amazing. Our waitress was very attentive and checked on us often. This place is a must try.

Went here tonight with family. We were able to sit within 2 minutes. The queso with chorizo was very good! We ate it all. I wish it was bigger. I ordered the Cabo street chicken. It had lots of flavor. The restaurant is nice inside as well. I will definitely go back again.

I decided to branch out and try the Parisian Grilled Cheese -- Brie, ham, and raspberry preserves-- and it too me right back to my favorite cafe in Ireland! We followed by sharing three entrees: 1) the Wisconsin grilled cheese sandwich (swap sourdough for wheat bread): good basic grilled cheese, the apple slices were thin and not super crispy, I didn't think they added more than a smidgen of flavor, 2) shrimp and grits: not as cheesy as many, with a little kick to the shrimp, and 3) classic mac & cheese. Classic, but also basic: next time I'll go for something more interesting. We finished off with the banana pudding, which was disappointing: many slices of hard, flavorless fruit. We split on the whipped topping: I thought it was good, fam said it tasted like Cool Whip. Service was good, server asked if I wanted a refill when I started getting low.

Special orders are even do-able if you call or visit their website and tell them, they might be able to pick it up on their next trip. Shrimp, scallops, seafood, and, on this day . . . crawfish cakes . . . The crawfish cakes were fine. I'm not sure I'd get them again, but not because they weren't good, but because they were too salty for me and after the third bite, it was too much. If that's not an issue for you, then these would be a win. Along with the those, I picked up about a half-pound of the fresh shrimp. The fish and shrimp are in coolers and they weigh them on the spot. The nice thing is being able get them in the amount that works for you -- even by the individual shrimp or by the scallop. While there are a lot of variables that go into measuring, the slightly over half pound I received ended up at 15 shrimp. It's hard to top fresh seafood and Apex Seafood & Market makes it simple. As long as you're at the Apex Farmers Market, you might as well pick up something and save yourself a stop somewhere else.
