We had such an amazing time at Mango's Sip & Salsa! The salsa lesson was so much fun and easy to follow, the mojitos were delicious and refreshing, and the live music made the whole night feel like a true Miami experience. The energy was incredible and everyone was so welcoming. Definitely one of the best date nights we've had -- can't wait to come back!

This was one of my favorite activities in Miami. My friends and I celebrate my bday to a salsa and bachata dance class. The instructor was very knowledgeable, amicable and amazing host. By the end of the night I felt like I can ACTUALLy dance! All the steps the instructor thought is paid off at the dance floor at Mango Tropicals club. I truly recommend this experience!

Came here for girl cousin's weekend when we thought, "hey! We're in Miami, we should salsa!" You show up between 7:30-8, and they have a seat for you in an upper room complete with sign and glow in the dark rings. At 8, we had about a 45 minute bachata class, then a break for mojitos, birthday cake and flatbread (only one kind, nothing to write home about), and then another 45 minute or so salsa lesson. They told us to "uncouple" (easy for our all women group) and for men to grab a different partner periodically. As expected for a venue like this, vast majority were women, some couples refused to uncouple, but they seemed to have some ringers to come in to dance with us. I ended up volunteering myself as a man several times just so we could keep on going. My only suggestion would be that these young ringers show a little more enthusiasm! But it was hugely fun to learn 2 types of dance. The room transformed to hip hop when the classes were over and the music, at least initially, was more pop from the '80s--so very fun!! Highly recommend!

Such a fun experience!! Really great for beginners, the instructors are fun and just fantastic dancers. I've always wanted to learn how to bachata and salsa and I have to say I feel like I get it sooo much more than when I started! Highly recommend if you're vacationing in the area.

My fiancé and I went to Mangoes for the shows and drinks. When there we heard that there are salsa/bachata lessons every night in one of the side bars upstairs. Booking was easy and the lessons were very interactive and tons of fun. The instructors are very lively and make sure you are comfortable and having a great time. Included in our tickets was the lessons, free mojito, and appetizers during our break between the bachata and salsa lessons. They also had professional photographers come around and take pictures of your group! These lessons were so fun that my fiancé and I are taking lessons back home!

We took a salsa class here after reading online that there would also be a place to dance after. Well, sort of. The instructor was friendly and skilled at dancing but the instructing could have been more thorough for those who were struggling. Would have been nice to switch partners too so every person could feel what it's like to dance with someone else as that is what happens when you actually go dance salsa. He was young so lots of time to develop savvy and professionalism. It was an average experience. Mangos on the other hand is wild. It's like a mix of Tijuana, Las Vegas, and Hooters. Girls dancing on the bar, a variety of musicians and dance performances -- an experience indeed.

This was super fun! But had to give them 4 stars because they 'forgot' to turn on the air and it had to be 90 degrees in the room. After a few complaints it was turned on about 10 minutes from the end of the class. Other then that I totally recommend for a fun time!

    Great drinks

What a fun time we all had, the instructors awesome. Highly recommend for a professional dance lesson.

I think it was a really good range of drinks, desserts, and food. Even though that coffee cup looks small, that's a full serving size and it was strong! I really really appreciate that this tour not only accommodated for vegetarians but also chose options for me that were realllllly good. Instead of the cubano, I had these fried plantain cups stuffed with veggies. They were SO good and seasoned well! And the spinach and cheese empanada was also amazing. My friend who got the meat options also loved her food. This tour is the perfect way to learn more about Cuban history, the history of the neighborhood, see all the street art, watch a game at domino park, and experience some of the best food in Miami. I cannot recommend this enough!!!

Given Miami's heat, the air conditioning in our room was extremely weak, and we couldn't lower the temperature below 70°F initially. The "queen" beds also felt much smaller than standard queen size, more like twin beds. The maintenance and housekeeping were equally disappointing. The bathroom sink was clogged, and housekeeping regularly failed to clean the room properly or restock toiletries unless we repeatedly asked. We had to request extra toilet paper, shampoo, and body wash multiple times. Every day, something was missed , one day there were no hand towels, another day the living area in our queen suite wasn't cleaned at all. We also asked for hangers several times and only received them after the fourth request. The night receptionist, I believe his name was Kevin, was especially unhelpful. When we complained about the AC and requested a room change, he told us someone would immediately bring hangers and assist us, but no one ever came. He also told us that we will get another room in the morning, but when we asked in the morning, the request was denied. Basically he just lied on our face to avoid any accountability during the night. Eventually, maintenance came to check the AC next day after we again asked another person on the reception ( i forgot his name but he was atleast helpful), But, initially they claimed it was fixed without improving anything. Only after we insisted that the cooling still wasn't working did they finally replace the control box, which allowed us to lower the temperature below 70°F. Overall, the stay involved constant inconvenience and unnecessary frustration. I genuinely don't understand how this hotel is rated 4 stars , neither the service nor the room quality reflects that standard. The only positive aspect is the beach access, but honestly, you're better off just purchasing a day pass rather than staying here. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.

The staff were generally friendly, and a few were especially helpful. They handled three packages I had shipped to the hotel efficiently, though there was a sizable per-package fee. Small touches like afternoon boozy gelato samples and a lobby change machine for breaking $20s into $5s were appreciated. Breakfast at Lolo's was decent. My Marriott status included breakfast for two, though the included menu was much shorter than the regular one and the portions were modest. Still, the food was cooked to order, tasted good, and the servers kindly let me order both breakfasts since I was traveling alone. I didn't try the Japanese restaurant on site, but I heard good things and enjoyed the neighborhood restaurants instead, especially La Grande Boucherie. I paid a substantial premium for an oceanfront double room, but I'm not sure I would do that again. The balcony and glass door were fairly small, and the balcony felt boxed in for privacy. Next time I might prefer a cheaper park-side room on a higher floor, which could still offer a nice park and ocean view. The biggest disappointment was the late checkout. My Marriott Platinum Elite status is supposed to include guaranteed 4 p.m. late checkout, but the hotel would not honor it. Each day I was told to check again later, and in the end they could only offer 1 p.m. That created real scheduling problems, since I had planned around the advertised benefit. With no good place in the hotel to work or take calls after checkout, I ended up going to the airport hours early. The status is supposed to provide a room upgrade, but that wasn't available either. A couple of other issues matched complaints I had seen in recent reviews. One elevator stopped for several minutes with a group of us inside and did not respond to the buttons, which was uncomfortable even though the door eventually opened. I also received a call inviting me downstairs for a "welcome gift," which turned out to be a Marriott Vacation Club sales pitch. That should be presented more honestly. Overall, this was a decent stay and I might return. But given the failure to honor the guaranteed 4 p.m. late checkout, I would compare other options carefully before booking again.

I asked repeatedly for an early, 2pm check-in. When I go there around 2:15, the front desk area was in chaos. There were 2 people being waited on and I was first in line, but had to wait for ~10 minutes to get any attention. Even with repeated communication, the room was not ready. My kids were heading into melt down mode. Not a great start. I got a call at 2:45 that my room was ready. We headed back around 4 and then it was the same chaos, and very long wait to get our 1 piece of luggage. Once upstairs, the hotel is very neat and tidy and our room was a 2 bedroom suite with a balcony, facing the bay and city. The condition and working order of the room, bathroom, and kitchenette were excellent. We loved the minimalist aesthetic. They did have a happy bday card and some chocolates for me in my room - a very nice touch. The main event downstairs is the pool area. They had a DJ playing vibey lounge music and it was packed with people chilling and drinking as mature adults. Definitely not a wild spring break scene. The pool is heated, too. The best is being in the pool as the sun sets - very magical as the place goes from day to night. Great hotel - lousy front desk. I reviewed the restaurant, Baia, separately - great waterfront vibes, so-so food, and disorganized service.

I went to order an empanada from the front and the man that was behind the counter (after taking a 80 payment for 3 food items and 2 coffees..) walked to the front desk gave the girl a hug went outside did some stuff and then came back to make our drinks. I don't even understand what happened there there was one employee working behind and he just walked away. I was told from the front desk that they only have one available cart for us to use and that the carts they had the previous day "disappeared"- the bellman was incredibly rude and laughed at me bc I asked how the carts from yesterday just disappeared... (might've been a bad question but a place like this that is so expensive... it makes no sense to have 1 cart in the entire hotel) I had to ask I believe a manager(Sebastian) he was so incredibly helpful and got us what we needed and really was the only helpful staff member there he rocks, he apologized oh behalf of the other staff and was helpful and patient with the situation! The food was probably the worst food I have ever eaten- they need to figure out that situation first. For the prices they charge I really wanted to tell the chef face to face how bad it was. The fish was over cooked to the point it was literally so crispy like a French fry there was no moisture left in the fish. The fries (were very good) the coleslaw had no flavor it tasted like mayo and cabbage like nothing else seemed to be in it.. somehow bland... The fish was bland. The tartar sauce was bland. Somehow even the horseradish sauce they gave me was bland. It was sincerely the worst fish fry I have ever eaten in my entire life. And I do not say that lightly........Really haven't had an experience like this anywhere else it was utterly ridiculous absolutely laughable for what they charge and the location. The best part if my meal was the fried and ketchup. So sad. The pastries? The chefs makes pretty croissants but the filling is absolutely terrible it was like curry chicken and peppers nothing like a chicken empanada.. didn't have any beef options all in all I would absolutely never recommend this place to anybody ever. Seems like it's going downhill or staff just doesn't care! I've seen the other recent reviews and they aren't great.. Doesn't seem like they let the chefs put anything on the menu themselves and really streamlined the whole thing terribly. I would not recommend this hotel unless you want rude service and terrible food. The only good thing about this place is that it's on the water..

While I'm constantly traveling, I find myself experiencing many ups and downs--though, fortunately,…read morethere are more ups than downs. My trip to Miami started with a challenge: I arrived at an Airbnb only to realize I was never given a check-in code. After calling customer service and waiting 45 minutes, I was told the "owner" claimed they didn't even own the property. I then moved to a different hotel, but it failed to meet the expectations set by its reviews. Finally, I checked into Hotel Chelsea, and it was beyond great. I'd give the atmosphere a 4.8 out of 5; they even have an on-site bar and restaurant. The staff is truly what made the experience amazing. The hotel has a vibrant Cuban vibe with locals from Cuba, making it feel like a little slice of Havana. Between the beautiful pictures on the walls and the music, every detail captured the essence of Cuba. The hotel was incredibly clean, and I really should have stayed there from the start. Let's talk about the food: I ordered the seafood pasta, which featured very large shrimp, mussels, clams, and scallops. I could tell they were high-quality, authentic scallops because of their natural, irregular edges. I paired the meal with a cold beer, and the pasta was easily a 4.7 out of 5. It was the perfect meal to fuel a night of dancing in Miami! I highly recommend this place for both staying and eating.
