Quesadillas, nachos, patatas bravas and grilled shrimp

Went there with a friend on a trip day for a quick lunch. Took some time to order and get our food but it was so good! The prices made us think that it was small portions ... it wasn't! We both had to ask for doggybags and finally our quick lunch lasted an hour and a half but totally worth it. And it was very delicious, honestly the quesadilla even hauntes me sometimes (that's how good it was haha)

Salsa is a decent club. I went on a Saturday night and my friends and I were looking for good Latin music but instead we got half Latin half commercial/top 40. Which was ok, but not ideal. The interior of the bar is beautiful and definitely fits the vibe of the whole place. The bar is absolute chaos, which may have just been because it was so crowded, but I think they could throw an extra bartender or two in there to get people in and out faster. Also they only had one credit card machine so they had to wait until another customer was done to ring up someone else- this definitely slowed things down. That being said the staff was very friendly and the drinks we had were quite good. I appreciated that they had a wide mix of cocktails. I also think they should add like two extra tables in the corners of the dance floor to leave your empty drinks. There were too many empty glasses rolling around on the floor and that felt dangerous. All in all it's a decent club but I hope they fix the things I mentioned above.

Never thought I'd be feeling so well in a Latin-American music playing environment as I did at Salsa! I'm not a fan of this kind of music, never learned to dance at it, unless I always like watching it -especially salsa, tango. Salsa! club is in Leicester Square therefore easy to find. Despite the fact that the entry is £10, when I ventured there on a Friday night, it was crowded. Not a cheap venue though as you enter the vibe gets you. If you have some sense of rythm you will find yourself moving or in better cases even dancing that salsa what you know or what you can pick up; there are plenty of people there who know what they are doing. Allow yourself some shots of tequila (so you don't have to hold a bottle or glass in your hand) and get down to the dancefloor and feel the passion in the air. Good music all night long, and girls! if you're standing alone for couple of minutes there will be at least 3 latino-lovers around you asking you to dance. Go for it!

Go for the salsa and other dance lessons but not the food! The wings are okay but the nachos are a hot mess.

Being huge fans of 80's we had to step inside even though it was 7pm. As we walked down the first set of stairs we are greated with a David Hasselhoff picture on a door, with 80's music playing, broad smiles crossed our faces. Itcouldn't believe we hadn't been here before! A friend had told us of such a place but to actually be there it was kind of a dream come true. It had just opened so it wasn't busy, we walked around checking out the A-Team, Flash Gordon the screen, and the many, many weird electric plastic things you can buy for cheap. (including a cone bra, glittered hats and glowsticks) The drinks are named after classic 80's things, (blue lagoon, the knightrider) and for £15 you can purchase a plastic margarita glass full of your favourite cocktail the likes of only Vegas can provide. Since it was so early we didn't have to pay cover or wait outside, just walked right in and had a drink each. In the process we bumped into a stag night group who were quite entertaining. The place losses a star because the volume of the music (which border lined on 70's disco sometimes) was deafening for 9pm, and on Friday and Saturday nights it must be avoided as it's THE place for Stag and Hen nights. Meaning a lot of drunken messes. It's only open three days a week so keep that in mind. There's no cover on Thursdays, my friend and myself cannot wait to go back to see how it is during the week with a group of our friends and the proper 80's dance wear.

The Box is somewhere between ridiculously and absurdly expensive---try £3000 for a table on a weekend night. The happening and surprisingly friendly crowd is definitely willing to party and dance the night away. Tip try not to get a front row table for the performances---its akin to the "splash zone" at Seaworld, only here there is a very good chance you will either get covered in baby powder cocaine or soiled with back-washed champagne that came out of a non-mouth orifice---yeah, don't ask!

Once inside, it was packed and really hot (especially compared to how cold it was outside), so naturally we had jackets with us. There were stools around the club and we put our jackets on them like many other people were doing. A female security staff member came over multiple times telling us we couldn't put our jackets there, even though others were doing the exact same thing and we were right next to it. The way she handled it came off unnecessarily rude and aggressive, which really killed the vibe for us. On top of that, the bathroom attendant was basically pressuring people to tip just for handing out paper towels, which felt uncomfortable and awkward. Overall, between the inconsistent rules, the attitude from staff, and the pressure for tips, it just wasn't an enjoyable experience. Definitely expected better.
