During my visit recent hair appt., my student wasn't able to finish in time and another student stepped in, which felt confusing for them and suggested some unclear expectations from the educators. You're not asked to tip, but donations toward the students' education are welcomed. At $22 for a trim and wash, it's hard to beat, especially if you have long or thick hair. Be prepared to spend several hours, though. They offer small samples of tea and water, which is a nice touch. The environment is very crowded and could benefit from more space; my student was repeatedly bumped into, which isn't ideal when scissors are involved. I also felt some uncertainty around tool sanitation and overall tool quality, though it was hard to tell whether that fell on the students or the school. Overall, it's a great option if affordability is your priority and you're comfortable with a learning environment. I'd rate it a solid 3-4 stars.

After giving it a month, I left a review reflecting my experience. Several weeks later, the new owners (who purchased the salon last December) reached out to try to make things right. I went in last weekend to meet with the manager, Ariann. We had a thorough consultation, and I allowed her to work on my hair. Unfortunately, the previous damage was too severe to fully repair, but Ariann spent considerable time explaining my options and the condition of my hair. She also validated my previous experience, which I truly appreciate. We settled on mini highlights to brighten the hair around my face, along with a significant cut. Now I can focus on deep conditioning treatments while waiting for my healthy hair to grow back. I'm very impressed that the new owners reached out to correct work done by a stylist no longer with the salon. Ariann spent extensive time with me, and they didn't charge me for the service--which speaks volumes about their commitment to customer satisfaction. I'm also impressed by the beautiful remodel they're doing. I highly recommend this salon. I was treated exceptionally well by the new owners, and Ariann is clearly very knowledgeable and skilled in hair design.
