I've tried waxing , plucking, and "drawing" in my brow. Those short term fixes were just that, short term. My dermatologist prescribed hair growth ointment and advised me to stop waxing and plucking at my eyebrows. One of his staff members suggested eyebrow threading for maintenance during my treatment. Of course I looked to Yelp for reviews, pictures and suggestions. I came across Esthetique Facial Spa on Adams Street. No appointment necessary for threading services. I walked in, signed in, and was threaded all in a matter of 20 minutes. Upon arrival one client was already in the chair, which is directly in the front to the left of the spa. My esthetician was calm and steady handed, she's everything previously described by other Yelpers. She shaped my eyebrows perfectly, paying much respect to my scar. Not as painful as I thought. My service was $10. I will definitely return in 2 weeks. Additional parking in the back.

Here's what happened. I'm using tretinoin so I made an appointment to have my brows shaped using a tweezer, thinking this method would be best. I told the tech I stop using the medication 5 days prior to my appointment. She thanked me for the info so she could proceed with the best method. She then mapped my brows and applied wax. I was taken aback but wrongly thought she was doing the best method for retinoid use. That was a huge mistake. Not only did she butcher me brows, she took some of my skin with them. I'm participating in a documentary and have to be filmed, which is why I wanted my brows done in the first place. Tell me what you think about the results.
