We have been here a few times. The first time or two, was great, but it has really gone down hill. The last time we we went which was the final time, my daughter paid a lot of money to have her hair dyed all over , she showed Brandi what she wanted , she said it could be done and my daughter left with hair that looks like she could have done it from a box. She was told the color would get lighter and turn into more of a red, and it didn't total waste of her money. They do not do well with curly hair. When I say curly, I mean spiral curls not wavy. If you just say you can't do it, it's much better than saying I can and it coming out like poop. We won't be back anymore , these last two things took the cake. read more

I went to This salon because it was mentioned quite a bit on a facebook page I am on. The work was Okay but took entirely too long. The stylist not only took awhile but also worked people in during my processing. A partial highlights took 4 hours. I am a busy person and dont have 4 hours to spend getting my hair done. Since then I've gone to a more experienced stylist who doesnt work people in and my hair takes the usual 2.5 hours. read more

I wish I could give zero stars. I called and confirmed an appointment days in advance. Drove 45 minutes AND took off work to get there just to be told "we don't have you in the books sorry nothing we can do" I have the phone call showing I made the appointment and she asked me for my name and phone number on the call so there is zero excuses that this should've happened. Mistakes happen, but to only be told sorry there's nothing we can do really upset me. Incredibly disappointed to have my time, gas, and PTO wasted on such a careless business. I hadn't been to Salon Sanity in a few years. Their old location and hours were difficult for me to make an appointment. Since moving to their new location, I have had no problem finding a time that it mutually convenient. I had gotten my makeup and hair styled by them a few years back and loved it, but had never gotten any chemical services from them. Recently I went in to get my hair highlighted by Cheryl. I wanted to lighten my blonde hair for my wedding in February. She asked me questions to make certain she understood what I wanted. AND DID SHE DELIVER! I felt pretty fancy going here for my first ever facial. I didn't even really know what to expect or what a facial entailed, so I went in completely blind. When I met Sunny, the esthetician, she immediately seemed really nice and put me at ease. She lead me to a small room, and after a few questions and a minute to get comfortable, the facial began. She started with some nice aroma therapy. She then proceeded to put all kinds of stuff on my face and upper body. I have no idea what it was, but it was really relaxing. My favorite part was definitely when she wrapped my face in hot towels and then massaged my arms and shoulders. I seriously could have fallen asleep. The towels completely blocked out everything else in the room and the heat relaxed all of the muscles in my face. In fact, I'm going to start wrapping my face in towels regularly- just for fun. I left with skin that felt amazing and fresh. My experience was fantastic and I would absolutely go back for another facial. I love the atmosphere here. Everyone chats with each other. The wash bowl area is super comfy with a reclining chair. The salon is really open and inviting. I usually shop the clothing/accessors while my color is processing. More times than most getting something from this section too. Holly is my stylist and I couldn't be happier! I love my style at the end, my curls stay for days. I tend to give small directions with my color, leaving Holly to take the reigns. My favorite salon. The experience is outstanding. And I love the convenience of a walk in salon whenever you have one of those spontaneous moments like I did where I just wanted a haircut. The deep condition treatment is sooo worth it, ifs a mask for your hair! I also love that once u get assigned to your stylist, u stay with them from start to finish. I hate going to salons where I get thrown to the assistants while the stylist takes care of their next client. My first time there I was with Alicia, and Brandi was my stylist today - both times they exceeded my expectations. My daughters hair is horribly heat damaged !!!!! I washed it the first time after the blow out and her curls arent there at all. Her hair smells burnt and it gets even louder when you wash it. Even a block of her hair has come out. I have before and after pictures and my daughter had perfectly healthy strong hair before. Im seeking legal action. read more

(My mom, who has really high standards when it comes to getting hair done, is a regular here.) Jennifer, the owner, has done my hair each time and did a fantastic job. I like getting the edgier cuts that involve razorblades to get funky layers, and she's great at those. I've been going here for 5 years now to see Brandi and LOVE HER! I've had some pretty crap experiences with hair stylists (I once had a lady ask me, when I went in to get a very short style, if I realized I wouldn't be able to put my hair in a ponytail anymore. Needless to say, she wasn't very good) and every time I find a good one they end up moving or changing professions. I went into Salon Sanity bc it was linked professionally by a job I had at the time and she happened to be available. Not only does she actually LISTEN to me when I say what I want to do with my hair but she's damn good at what she does. I have never once been disappointed with her work. I'm big on long layers for my hair and knows how to give the style body without making me look like I should be the long lost female member of Poison. I have brought my son to her and suggested her to several friends who were all pleased as punch with their hair. Also, she's not pushy or too personal, which is huge for me. As for the salon itself the place is great! Everyone is not only nice, but helpful. I have always felt like I was treated respectfully and with kindness when I walked in and when I left. They have a great supply of products you can purchase on site. The place is kept clean and tidy, and the design is fun and modern. The staff makes you feel welcome and are not pushy for product purchases while still mentioning things that may help make your hair care regiment easier and more effective. A true testiment to how much I love my hair stylist as well as this place is that I live in Lakeview but will still drive to the Westbank just to get my hair done here. Do I have a complaint? Yes, I do. Brandi seems to have to same off days as me so it makes it difficult to get in with her. When I was paying, I expressed my feelings on the hair color, still ended up paying 115.00. Was asked if I wanted the girl to tweaked my hair, no it was messed up enough. Great salon. Very clean and all the stylists are friendly and professional. I've been getting my hair cut and colored for 5 years and have never had a bad experience. I usually go to Kailyn and Kerri for my hair needs. I have fairly long and thick hair and I still am in and out in about 2hrs for cut full set highlights and style!!!
