I'm new to the neighborhood and booked at Salon Vous for a pedicure and gel x extensions. I loved every minute of my service with Cassie! Customer service 100/10. I got exactly what I asked for with my nails and pedi. Love them! My pedicure was such a relaxing and soothing experience! The salon is beautiful and chill. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Salon offers a plethora of services that are worth checking out nails, hair, etc. I will definitely be back. read more

I had the best spa day at Salon Vous. Salon Vous is so beautiful and relaxing. I would stay there all day if I could. Kim gave me an amazing head spa experience. She is professional, detailed, and thorough with me. I have oily hair. Kim was able to rebalance my hair. I couldn't believe how light and refreshed my hair was after. One of my other favorite parts of the service was the scalp massage. It felt like a waterfall was running through my hair. She gave me one of the best massages I ever had. She melted all my stress away. My hair and body were rejuvenated. I can't wait to go back to Salon. Vous for my spa day. read more

BEYOND the best salon! Kieu, the owner, should have a PhD in color and extensions. I'm a 20+ year veteran of the whole lineage of extensions, and she surpassed me in 5 minutes. The new head spa, sounds crazy, right?? FABULOUS! Infinitely better than a traditional massage! I hate massages, but this is not that, so much better. Kim is SENSATIONAL! All of the stylists are outstanding! I'm there frequently and know firsthand that Jordan, Madison, Ana... amazing! Vlada is MY routine hero! SO EXTREMELY knowledgeable in recommending treatments and products that have improved the quality of my hair beyond all expectations! Better than in my youth. She's a gem! And the nails and pedicures, you won't believe the attention to detail by both manicurists, Suong and Cassie! I go to either because the consistency is seamless. I NEVER EVER write reviews. I never go on social media at all, honestly, but Salon Vous is so amazing, especially as my hair is aging (I'm 55), consistently exceeding my expectations every time, no matter what the service, and I've tried lots haha , that I had to write a review. What I love is that the salon caters to the full spectrum of hair types among a diverse clientele bringing out the best version of you. Honest to god, they consult with each other. I can't tell you the number of compliments I've gotten since starting there in October. i have naturally frizzy, brittle, dull, thin hair. It resembles cotton HORRIBLE family curse LOL No one in my family nor my friends can believe my hair! A MUST!! read more

As a licensed hairstylist for over 30 years, I had never experienced a "head spa" service until now -- and I can confidently say it will become a regular part of my self-care routine! This scalp, hair, and facial treatment with an upper-body massage was the most relaxing hour I've experienced in a long time. Kim provided a truly luxurious experience, from the satin velvet robes to the soft lighting, aromatherapy scents, and calming music that made me feel transported to a peaceful resort. She began by analyzing my scalp with a magnifying tool to assess its health, followed by thorough brushing and a gentle head and neck massage. The highlight of the treatment was relaxing on a warm table with my head laid back into a sauna-like waterfall basin, surrounded by soothing colored lighting. Kim then cleansed my hair and face simultaneously using gentle yet firm massage techniques, incorporating both her hands and specialized tools that brought me into a deeply meditative state of relaxation. I especially appreciated how she worked out tight muscle knots in my neck, shoulders, arms, and hands -- something I truly needed. She used multiple cleansing products tailored to my hair and skin needs, all of which smelled wonderful and left my skin feeling both clean and moisturized. Her massage techniques were exceptional, and I cannot speak highly enough about her skill and professionalism. If I could, I would give my experience with Kim at Salon Vous a 10-star review! This would make an amazing gift for a wife, mother, or future bride. read more

Came in for a hair consult with pictures of me in my desired hair color. I had come in to Salon Vous because of their great results on individuals with a similar hair color and skin tone, so I was hopeful. I had requested my previous stylist at another salon to recreate the look but sadly she fumbled through it, and didn't even change my hair color in the end...I had achieved this ideal look before in one sitting and my hair was undamaged. Back to Salon Vous: I believe the stylist was in training (I am not naming her because it's not her fault, the owners appear to run the show). The owner came and looked at my current hair and pictures and said the look was not too different from my current hair color and could be achieved in one sitting. I was hopeful and made an appt. Come hair day, the same owner is not there. I wasn't too worried, the stylist and I had discussed this with the first owner and had a plan on how to proceed. Well, the second owner came in and gave her input and plans started to change. The second owner essentially told me that my ideal look was not achievable in one sitting and that a slightly more subtle version would be achievable in one sitting and more affordable/what I'm looking for (we had already discussed a price point in the first visit and even considering the cost of bowls/extra length, that price point was going to include my ideal look per the first owner). By this point, my head was already in the sink and color had been applied. I was quite literally stuck. The hair color turned out decent but not the ideal that I had desired and had been done prior! Even my friends said it looks like nothing has changed in your hair... This switch-and-bait tactic is unacceptable and I ended up paying close to $300 for a half-job. I will not be returning to Salon Vous. read more

I came here for Japanese hair straightening, a process that normally costs around $400. I was informed that she changed her rates to be $150 hourly, but I assumed (because I've had this treatment done many times and it never takes longer than this) that it would be about 3 hours, so about $450. I decided to continue as this wasn't too far off from what I had expected. However, I noticed that she was working extremely slow, taking extra steps to take longer than needed. I sat with my hair soaking in water for about 30 min, and this is just not a step of the treatment. This was purely to waste time. One of her assistants was taking time from my hair to take out her own hair extensions. Finally after 4 hours I realized I needed to leave before my bank account went dry, so I had to leave before they could even blow dry and finish my hair. So I left....almost $700 later...with soaking wet hair. Once I blow dried by own hair, the process did come out well I will say, but regardless, I will not be back. read more

Alis has cut my hair for years now and her work is excellent. She asks questions to make sure we're both on the same page and listens to what I ask her to do. She also makes the visit fun. I recommend her without hesitation. read more

From the first time I met Shira, I knew she was what I was looking for. My boyfriend and I made an appointment with Shira, because we needed a lot of help with our hair. My hair color was ashy that didn't suit me. It was also dry and damage with alot of breakage. My boyfriend hair was uneven with no shaping at all. Shira sat us down, examine our hair, and ask questions. Not only does she listen to your exact needs and wants, but she ensures that what you are envisioning will actually work for your hair type, face shape, and skin tone. I love that Shira is honest. She listens to what we want, but then also digs a bit deeper to determine the level of upkeep and goals. Shira went above and beyond to make sure our hair looked fabulous. The head massage during our shampoo session was pure heaven. We never felt so pampered and confident leaving a salon before. Shira chose my hair color that made me look 10 years younger and treated my hair. My hair never felt so healthy! I love the outcome so much, that I had to tell my friends and family. Also, my boyfriend haircut looks so good, that I cannot stop starring at him. She's so talented and you can feel her energy that's she's passionate and caring. We are forever loyal to her. read more

The location is nice, and the staff is friendly. However, I paid over $115 for a hair cut and wash (without tip) no blow dry at the end. The hair cut was OK. Unfortunately will not be returning back. read more

On a recommendation from my manicurist, I decided to take a chance on Q at Salon Vous. A little background... my stylist at Vidal Sassoon has been cutting my hair for over 15 years in New York City so when I traveled up there, I got my cuts. Not practical but when someone took shearing scissors down here in a salon, it scarred me for life. With no more trips planned to NY city I was in desperate need. I wanted someone who was familiar with my style of hair and was Q knowledgeable!!! She absolutely was!! We discussed my cut and I needed a treatment and my hair came out fabulous. I know that it can only get better the more she gets used to my style and hair. I went to work and everyone asked if I just had my color done cause everything looked so healthy and shiny. Will be back with my friends. Covid 19 update- temp taken at door, fill out contact information - sanitized between clients. Oooh...and the chair you get washed in has a lovely massager. Sooooo relaxing!! All we need is Covid 19 to quit so the beverage service can come back! read more

I am just in awe at how absolutely gorgeous, unique, and very "Instagram worthy" the decor is at this salon! The ambiance of this place makes you feel as if you are of royalty, and trust me, you will definitely leave the salon feeling like a beautiful, boss a*** b****! The owner, Kieu, is a sweetheart who is talented at what she does! She really takes her time with perfecting your hair, but all that time is worth the wait because you will end up what you are looking for! I got my hair cut with her and I could definitely tell the difference between getting a hair cut at another salon vs. getting it done at Salon Vous. My hair is very thick, and very often, my haircuts look very choppy. I just loved that she is able to remove my dead ends and also style and chop it to where it looks soft at the ends and less blunt! Key note: She is very honest with what is best for you because she wants to ensure that you have a smooth road to healthy hair. Also, don't expect to get an appointment right away. She has a high volume of guests, but waiting your turn is definitely worth it as I mentioned earlier! Can't wait for the next time I get my hair done! read more

Got my first cut a year ago and have not changed my stylist since! I use to get my hair cut twice a year because i was uncertain and or unconfident in the stylist i have been going to. But ever since i met Amy Dang, my perspective changed. Not only my hair looks great, the quality feels amazing and the experience i recieve when i enter their salon towards me leaving is impeccable. Ever since i started coming to Salon Vous, i come like almost twice a month. Sometimes hesitant to go 3 times because i like how she styles my hair, the service and experience, and she makes me feel very comfortable coming from an introvert. That stylist Amy Dang knows her stuff. read more

I went to this salon for my first haircut in 3 years due to the pandemic . I needed a style and cut desperately. My mom and daughter also wanted haircuts and she booked us one after the other. Now all 3 of us have VERY different hair. My daughters hair is thick and straight. My mom has barely any hair and it's fine and thin and stick straight. My hair is wavy, fine... she gave us all consults that addressed what we wanted and what we could handle everyday. My mom was the hardest to please- or so I thought she would be. She has NEVER been happy with a cut and I was SHOCKED when she loved her cut! Alis was very receptive in her consulting. My mom can't style her hair for physical limitations and it's fine, thin, and stick straight. Alis gave her a transformational cut. In all- we are in love with our cuts, relaxing experience, and a WONDERFUL stylist! Don't even hesitate- book ALIS CONNOR! read more

Got my first haircut in over a year (eff you covid), and was able to book my appt with Kieu Vu online very easily. I would honestly go back just for the massage/shampoo chairs. Closest thing to a real massage I will be getting for a while. I felt that rates were comparable to other salons in the area and I'm so happy with my layered cut. Parking is much easier on freret than other areas of uptown. They take COVID precautions very seriously, which was really good to see. read more

This was a terrible experience from the beginning. I should have known from when they called to ask me to come later than my appointment time. The stylist was 2 1/2 hours late getting started on me. The stylist was rude, she promised I would be done by a certain time. I had to leave with wet hair that she "rough cut" and the color is not what I asked. A complete waste of money and personal frustration. read more

Today must be my lucky day because this is the first time in YEARS that I have had my hair professionally cut, and I FINALLY HAVE THE HAIR OF MY DREAMS!!!! The prices here are so incredibly reasonable too. The atmosphere is spa-like, and everything is so beautiful, bright, and welcoming. The energy is bright and clear, and everyone is so friendly! I booked the appointment a few weeks in advance online, and I'm so glad I did. It is a really easy process, and they send you reminders before the appointment. I think I have finally found my forever salon. read more

Wow, Alis Connor is seriously the best hair dresser I have ever had. As we all know, one of the best things about an amazing hair stylist is just meeting the person that they are. Alis does amazing hair (every time I'm 100% happy), but she is also just an incredible person- kind, thoughtful, funny, and a deep soul. Anyone who meets her will be better for it and I highly recommend this salon! Stay safe y'all. read more

I just had the most fabulous day! When that's your first thought after spending more than 8 hours in a stylist's chair, you know you're talking about excellence!! Salon Vous and staff are the epitome of greatness, professionalism, quality and value. Kieu Vu is an absolute master of her craft, setting by example the highest level of standard and leads a crew of truly exceptional women who obviously love all things hair. While I was there, I observed an array of cuts, colorings, extensions and updos but what impressed me most was the degree of camaraderie amongst all the stylists. They were consistently willing to help one another with application and technique to ensure perfection for each and every client in the shop. I found this sense of collaboration so refreshing and such a rarity these days. Shira specifically was so helpful and enthusiastic with my particular treatment. I myself was there for a Japanese Straightener and let me tell you it was no small feat on my frizzy mane of kinky hair that falls below my rear. I knew I was facing a long day of processing but I have to say it felt more like a day of pampering at the spa and I left there a changed woman for sure, ecstatic over my new glass hair look. read more
