I had a fantastic experience at Salon Vivace. The salon is very clean and has a welcoming atmosphere. Lizzie, the owner, listened to exactly what I wanted and gave me a great cut and style. I also used Theresa for head Spa treatment and it was wonderful. I highly recommend both services! read more

I can't say enough about this salon. Liz is the best. she does a great job with hair. let's just say I am a real challenge, I am very particular on how my hair is cut and colored. Liz does a great job every time. Also if you have not you have to try the head spa or facial Theresa is so gifted and makes you feel so calm and relaxed. It is a great experience can't wait to go back. If I could I would give many more stars. Thank you read more

It was my first time here and it's a beautiful salon. My stylist was Arlyn and she was incredible! I told her what I wanted in a cut and she absolutely elevated it. It felt like the first time I was heard by stylist and it was executed perfectly. I will definitely be returning and look forward to my next cut with Arlyn! read more

Stylist (Christie) chopped my hair to the point it will take at the very least, a year to grow enough to try to start to correct. I went to another salon to try to have it fixed and was told they strongly suggested I wait for at least 6 months before even having a slight trim, that is how horrible this haircut is. There are pieces that are cut 1" and then 5", no blending, just chopping. This haircut is absolutely horrible and worse that anyone could imagine. I have had people tell me over the past few days that my hair is very uneven, and I look like I am missing chunks of hair (thanks to this stylist/salon). Go elsewhere, trust me read more

Jennifer is an expert with curly hair. Finally found a stylist that knows how to cut and style curly hair. NB to Salon Owner - Get your stylists some new chairs...I'd like to sit on something that has a cushion. Thanks. read more

I already left a five star review some years back but wanted to come back and reiterate my love for this place after all this time. Still nothing but flawless and luxurious experiences here! Glenn is an absolute hair artist extraordinaire! He always knowns exactly what kind of vision I have in mind for my look and his execution is flawless. Not to mention he is the perfect mix of professional and fun! We've tried lots of different styles, cuts, etc. and he never fails to amaze me. Jen is also incredible with updos and formal styles. I've gone here to get my hair done for more formal events than I can remember and Jen has made me look stunning every time! Her creativity and attention to detail is impeccable. Front desk and scheduling is smoothly run and very friendly. The whole place is sparkling clean. Prices are incredibly reasonable and quality of service is top notch. Definitely visit Vivace for all your hair needs! You'll be glad you did! read more

This is my favorite salon. It is done in cool gray tones with a touch of sparkle from the chandelier that hangs in the lobby. The receptionist is always kind and friendly. The owner has the first chair. He too, is very nice and always says hello. Jaime Horvat is the stylist that I see. She is a magician/miracle worker. She takes my heavy thick hair and makes it bouncy and light as a feather. She covers the gray that fights it's way through the color. When I first started getting my hair done there it was black. I loved how it played against my pale skin. Then I started getting a little color to my skin so I started going lighter. Currently I rocking the blonde with some lowlights. This is a great salon and you leave looking and feeling good. read more

Jen is a true hair artist! I've had my hair cut and highlighted many times by her and I'm always very happy with the results. I was hesitant with coloring my hair at first because I had never had it done professionally and didn't know what it would look like but she was great with helping me find a color and look I love! read more

This is a wonderful spa! They really accommodate your needs and are very attentive. The money is well spent and worth every penny! Very professional and yet so comfortable! read more

Jennifer did an amazing job with my hair!! I really struggle to find someone who knows how to cut my very thick, very wavy, very long hair without leaving me looking like a triangle or putting holes in my layers. Jennifer completely understood my needs (I need a very low maintenance cut because I have an 8 month old) and I felt like her consultation was expert. I had an enjoyable experience and was very glad I went to Jennifer for my first cut since I was pregnant! read more

I been going here for about a decade now. I usually stay with Lizzie or Jamie. I had an awful experience with someone else, so I won't see anyone else. I had only one bad outcome and it was fixed as quickly as possible. Things happen. However, for the most part, 90 percent of the time... I been very happy and I find everyone pleasant and professional. read more

This salon is amazing! The entire staff is exceptional. They are very talented, professional and down to earth. I couldn't imagine going anywhere else after all of the years. I have never had a bad experience here and would recommend the salon to anyone and everyone. read more

Got an amazing facial here. I have been there for a pedicure and massage in the past. It's great.

I always have such a wonderful experience at Salon Vivace in Mt. Lebanon! Today I received an Aroma Facial by Brittany and it was fabulous! My skin looks and feels great and she knew exactly what my skin needed. Their product line is wonderful and mostly all-natural which was a relief as I am pregnant. Brittany was sure to make me feel comfortable throughout the entire facial and customized the products for my skin's needs. I will definitely be back for another afternoon of spoiling :-) read more

All of the girls from Salon Vivace did such an amazing job for my wedding/bridal party. They took the time to make sure everyone's hair and make-up looked perfect. They were quick, organized and very efficient. Lauren took even extra time on my make-up because of some difficulty with my eye shadow and never once complained or seemed bothered. They all had such great personalities which really helped calm me when I was stressed. I would definitely recommend Salon Vivace for any event especially your wedding! I am still getting compliments on how beautiful my hair and make-up looked and I couldn't agree more. The girls did an absolutely awesome job and exceeded all expectations. read more

Nice salon in the heart of Mt Lebanon! Staff is friendly, and the service providers are very knowledgeable of their craft. They sell a wide variety of hair and skin products as well. read more

I've tried both the spa services (massage) and hair salon and both times I was quite pleased. My friend won a complimentary hair cut and highlights. Since she is both happy with her current place and is far away, kindly gave me her gift card. I saw Glen, who I believe is the owner and his assistant. Everyone was very kind and I walked out quite happy with the result. He carefully listened to what kind of cut and style I wanted and gave me just that. There was the ever annoying attempt to up-sell me on hair care products that most salons do but it wasn't too bad. Unfortunately, I can't speak on price for the hair style as my gift card covered all but tip. My guess is that Glen's services are more then my current budget, but due to 2 pleasant experiences, I will go back again and try a junior stylist. Parking is conveniently located across the street at the parking garage and they do validate. Prices seem to be on the high end for Pittsburgh but I suppose you get what you pay for! The salon is clean and comfortable. The staff is across the board friendly. Sign up for their email list and get offers for discounted services. Would recommend. read more

I have heard horrible things about how this salon is managed and how they handle customer complaints. My dear friend right now is dealing with the owner of this salon. You would not believe how awful the things they have said and put her through. This is a small community - really poor business skills and treating people badly spreads like wildfire. read more

I had an absolutely wonderful experience! My stylist knew exactly how to manage my crazy hair and she chose the perfect cut and color for me (I had a few ideas that she listened to but I pretty much let her have free reign over the appointment) and I have never been happier with the outcome! read more

worst experience ever! i had the appointment booked about 2 months in advance with lizzie because i had a wedding to attend. it was my first time seeing her and i was told she was the best. it was noted that my hair was long and would take some time. the color is awful!!!! nothing but brassy and orange and white streaks all over (not ONE BIT like the photo i showed and was assured would work)!!!!!! she also ran out of time and told me i could "ask someone else in the salon" to dry the rest of my hair for me as she only dried the front. she also said that her friend had an appointment after me. i could have bought drugstore boxed dye and ended up with better results. i am highly dissatisfied and will NEVER BE RETURNING! i now have to find time and pay someone else to fix something that was never even offered to be fixed by this salon. the "profile" picture I used for this site is of what my hair looked like when I got home from my appointment. read more
