Salon Versailles is a locally owned full service Aveda Exclusive Salon, hair salon and spa dedicated to a high quality overall salon experience for Salon Guests by providing excellent service, exclusive products and welcoming atmosphere at an acceptable price/value relationship. The Salon
provides continued educational services to its Designers, keeping them up‐to‐date on the latest
fashion trends as well as reiterating the more traditional techniques for both women and men.
History
Established in 2010.
In 2010, David opened Salon Versailles, as a Sole Proprietorship, at 2000 W. 21st Avenue,
Covington, Louisiana. The salon originally consisted of a Barber, a Cosmetologist, 2 Manicurists,
and a Salon Assistant. Quickly out growing their location, they relocated in 2013 to a high
traffic area, to the Salon's current 1,200 sq/ft space at 70457 Highway 21, Ste. 113, Covington,
Louisiana. Salon Versailles became an Aveda Exclusive Salon in 2016
Meet the Business Owner: David R.
After High School at Mobile County High School in Alabama, David Richerson attended Roffler
Barber College in Metairie, Louisiana. He graduated in 1988 and began working as a trainee at
John Jay Salon, moving on to Georgy's Hair Salon and Spa 6 months later, and trained by Master
Stylist/Colorist Pam Georgy as a colorist for Clairol Color. In 2000, Georgy's became an Aveda
Concept Salon and David received full training on Aveda Color, Techniques, and Services.
After attending numerous classes and shows for his Aveda Advancement, David Mastered the
Train the Trainer, a program designed to train other stylists the way Aveda Salons operate.
In 2005, after Hurricane Katrina, David relocated to the Northshore of Lake Ponchartrain. In
2007 he began working at The Looking Glass, a Redken based salon, furthering his product
knowledge to include Redken.. David opened Salon Versailles in 2010 and Purchased Georgys Salon Spa in 2017
